Gabe's POV

She was sleeping with Carl... I feel a hand in my shoulder, and I turn around only to see, Enid. "What do you want." I say. "It wasn't what it seemed.. we where hanging out, it was late, and I asked him to stay the night because I didn't want him to walk home." She explains to me and her eyes begin to water. "I-If you don't believe me... t-that's fi—" I cut her off  "I believe you honey." I say, then blush realizing what I said, as did she. "G-Gabe!!" She screeches "I-I'M SO SORRY!!! I-I DIDN'T REALIZE!!!" I cover my face. After about a minute, She hugs me, I hug her back. "E-Enid...?" I stutter, my face becoming even more red. She and I lock eyes. "Yes, Gabe?" I pause before saying "I-I have a..."
"Gabe? A-are you... Alright?" She breaks our embrace, her eyes fill with concern. I sigh before saying "I... I like you... I've liked you for a while.. ever since the world went to absolute shit... I've liked you for a long time, Enid... I get it i-if you don't like me the s-same way..." she looks at me and covers her mouth. "I-I don't know what to say... G-Gabe, I love you, your my best friend.. but.... I don't like you like that...." My eyes begin to tear. I nod and run off. "Gabe! Wait!" She cries. Not caring what she says, I continue to run. Not having a point, I just run. Nowhere to run, I open the gates and sprint out.

Carl's POV

"Gabe ran off!!" Enid says. "Wait, what?" I get off of her bed, and stand. "He ran off. I'm not sure where he is.." her eyes begin to tear. "What happened..?" I gently place my hand on her shoulder, and she explains. "Oh fuck... we need to go now. Let's make sure he's inside Alexandria and not out of the walls." I sigh, and begin to run out, and she follows me. "Damn it.. the gates open." I whisper under my breath. Enid sprints out the gate really fast. I can't keep up with her. "GABE?!" She yells. "You out here?" I yell. She sees him and sprints after him, or what she thinks is him and runs up to him, when she runs up, it turns out to be a walker, and pins her to the ground, she turns her head, trying to avoid her face being ripped off, and I run over. "C-CARL!! HELP!!" She yelps. The walker gets closer to biting her—it's maybe an inch or two away from her— I run to get a stick, I throw it off Enid, stab it in the jaw, it doesn't kill it and I have no weapon, Enid takes a rock and throws it at the walker's head, but someone kills it with a knife. "Dumbasses." A familiar voice says. "Gabe!!" Enid runs and hugs him. I chuckle. "Thanks for saving our asses, Gabe." I smile at the two hugging. "Yeah. Hahaha! How about we get back to Alexandria?" Gabe suggests. Enid nods, starts walking with Gabe, and grabs my hand. This takes me by surprise, I begin walking hand-in-hand with Enid. She looks at me and smiles.  Fuck. She's adorable. I really like her... I-I just hopes she returns those feelings...
