The House

As the car pulled up to what seemed a giant house, Jekyll, Hills and Max all stepped out of the car.
"Wow..." Robert muttered under his breath, trying to take in the size of the place.
"Wow indeed! It seems even larger to me!" Said Hills, trying to make a joke about how small she was, which made both Max and Jekyll smile.
"Come on Robert! Let's explore!" Utterson spoke in a cheery tone, walking to the door of the house and unlocking it with a giant key he took from his pocket.
The door creaked as it was pushed open, and Max gestured for Robert to go first. The shy man cautiously entered the dark, dusty room, which was rather cold and damp. His eyes were flickering all around the room, looking from fire place, to chairs, to bookshelves and to the grand painting of a man on the wall. It was hard to imagine that this place hadn't been sold to a rich family over the years, but then again, the house apparently belonged to him now. Even though it was rather dark, he could still see everything, even though the other too were complaining about the darkness.
They lit some candles and the fire place, which brightened and warmed the place up. This place is like a castle, Robert thought to himself, taking off his hat and placing it on an old chair.
"Well come on then Robert! Let's go and explore!" Hills chanted, "I'll stay here, you and Max can look upstairs." She said, walking over to the bookcase and starting to look at all the books. Upstairs?! This place is too big! Max and Robert thought and raised their eyebrows, slowly climbing the wooden stairs.
Once at the top, Max went left when Robert went right, there were many bedrooms and empty rooms which seemed to have no purpose, and also what seemed to be an office, which consisted of a chair, a desk and even more books. A load of different ideas were popping into his head about what could have happened here 50 years ago, what happened to his Grand father and if this was where he worked, and what did he work as? Did he have a plain old office job? Or was this office just a place for his bills and where he wrote letters? He couldn't stop his imagination from running wild.
Robert looked at all the dusty books, all the knowledge that could be obtained from these would be endless. His fingers skimmed skin them when suddenly a voice made him jump and turn around.
"I thought I'd find you here." The familiar voice of the female spoke, it was Lilly.
"Lilly? How did you know I was here?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows in a surprised manner.
"When I was talking with Max and Hills, they told me that they were wanting to introduce you back to this place." She said sweetly, shrugging her shoulders. "Now, have you found anything of interest?" She took a few steps towards him, looking around.
Robert was slightly uncomfortable, he didn't know much about her, and the fact that she just helped herself inside showed that she was obviously a confident person. "Well, uh, maybe we should get back down stairs, there is nothing here to see, is there?" He stated, quickly rushing past her and going back down the stairs. Lilly was obviously confused by his actions, but she followed him back down stairs anyway.
"Well," Max started, "there isn't much to see here, but it's yours now Robert, you can clean the place up and make it your own home." Max smiled, and Robert smiled a little bit back.
Jekyll needed some time to get his head around things, so as Hills and Max left, it was just him and Lilly,
"I-uh, I don't mean to be rude, but could I have some time alone here?" He asked Lilly, and she nodded. "Of course, Doctor, you know where to find me if you need me." She smiled and also left.
It was now just Jekyll alone in this giant house, he felt uneasy- like someone was watching him- but that was probably because of the giant painting above the fire place. He sat down in a dusty chair, watching the flames in the fire place as he thought to himself. He didn't feel at home here, not at all, but this would have to do for the mean time.
