Muggle AU

Regulus was happy with the way he lived. He had moved in with his brother after a year from when Sirius left him. Now Regulus could be with Sirius all the time and he didn't have to worry about him anymore. He went to the kitchen to get water when he noticed he had started to get thirsty. He loved Sirius. Sirius was everything he had and cared about. He had been everyday worried when he didn't know what was happening with Sirius, so when Sirius invited him to move in with him, it was like Regulus' prays were heard. They had even started to go to therapy together.

Regulus sipped some from his water and smiled as it was fresh and that made it taste amazing. He looked out of the kitchen's tiny window to their backyard. It was raining out side and there was windy, or at least the one tree they had in their backyard was shaking its leaves like crazy. It hadn't rained in a long time, so it was good the plants finally got water.

Suddenly a loud bang was heard through the house and it made Regulus drop his glass from surprise. Almost immidately flash backs started to run through Regulus' mind.

"Do you have any idea how much that cost?" Walburga screamed to her younger son, who had just dropped a glass. "N- no mother" 20 years old Regulus said. Walburga screamed, but they weren't words and then told Regulus to go to his room. Regulus knew what was going to happen, when Walburga followed close behind him.

"You're going to learn not to brake objects what have more worth than you!" Walburga said and started to hit his crying son. When Regulus had already fell on the ground Walburga started to kick instead of hit. "Reggie" a voice somewhere said softly. "S- stop! Please!" Regulus sobbed. "Regulus" the voice said again. Regulus knew he had to follow this mysterious voice, but he didn't know where it came from.

"Reg, please come back to me. It's not real. You're safe. You're with me, your brother, Sirius. It's Siri here" the voice said again. Regulus felt hands around him and he thought it was Walburga, but she had disappeared and even the room was different. This was cozy and there was two people. "Take deep breaths. It's going to be okay" another voice said. "Sirius?" Regulus asked. "Yes, it's me. You're in our home remember? Our parents aren't here" Sirius said. Regulus noticed it was Sirius who was holding him. "Who's the other one?" Regulus asked and looken to the other person. He was tall and had glasses. His hair was black and messy. He was smiling to Regulus. "This is James, my best friend. You know him, I have talked to you about him" Sirius said, "James, this is my little brother Regulus."

"James as James Potter?" Regulus asked, he had calmed down, but didn't want Sirius to let go so he hugged Sirius back. "Yes, that's me. It's a pleasure to finally meet you. Sirius has talked a lot about you. You're more handsome than I would have imagined, specially as Sirius is your older brother-" "Dick" Sirius commented, but James was like he hadn't heard him. "- I hope you're feeling well, or at least better."

"Yes, I am, thank you, kind sir. Same goes to you, about being handsome. It's lovely to have you here, even if I wasn't informed about this" Regulus said and glared to Sirius. "Oops, I guess I forgot to mention" Sirius snorted and let Regulus go. "I didn't know you could be friends with gentlemen" Regulus said. He thought James was something Regulus had imagined his partner would be like. "He isn't, he is just being polite" Sirius said.

Then James just kind of moved in. He didn't offically live in there, but he barely left. Regulus had gotten a crush on James. Regulus told himself it was going to go by, but it didn't seem to do so. The worst part was, he was never good with hiding his feelings, specially love.

Sirius had already went to sleep to his room, but James and Regulus were still hanging out in the living room. Regulus was reading the "one last chapter", or so he told Sirius. James was looking out of the window they had. He saw the street and the calm athmosphere there was. He heard a yawn come from Regulus and turned to look at him. Regulus had changed his position, so he was in a comfortable ball in his
chair and the book was about to fall from his hand. James smiled to Regulus, who had closed his eyes.

James stood up and took Regulus' book. Regulus protested my muttering a "hey", but was too tired to do anything. James put his bookmark inbetween the two pages and closed the book, placing it next to Regulus. "Good night" James said. "Night, love you James. Like very much. Just know it for me, please" Regulus whispered and fell asleep.

James stared at sleeping Regulus and wondered if he had actually meant it. He figured they would talk about it in the morning and went to sleep himself.

Sirius had left early to his work, because his boss was angry to him, because he had been late all week. Regulus was slowly starting to wake up. James had woken up already and was just waiting for Regulus to wake up. When he got bored, he stood up and went to take an apple. When he returned Regulus was sitting in the chair he had fallen asleep in and was looking around. "Morning" James said and took a bite of his apple. "Morning, where's Sirius?" Regulus asked.

"He went to work early" James said. Regulus nodded. James sat down in his own chair again and looked at Regulus. His black curls perfectly resting on his head, his grey eyes looking back into James' brown, his hands playing with each other's fingers, his rings being beautiful as always, his necklace taking all the atenttion to itself, his red lips looking amazing, his- "What are you staring at?" Regulus asked.

"You" James answered. "Mr. Obivious" Regulus snorted, but couldn't hide his smile. "Did you mean it last night?" James asked. "Mean what?" Regulus asked. "Everything about loving me" James replied. "Oh" Regulus said and blushed immidately, "uhm, do you hate me for it?" "No, of course not. I just want to know if you meant it" James said. "Yes, yes I did mean it" Regulus said. James smiled. "I love you too" James said. "You don't have to pretend James. I know you love me just as a friend" Regulus said. "Nahh, I love you more than that" James said.

"Really?" Regulus asked. "Really" James smiled. Regulus smiled too and started to giggle in a way James found cute. "Will you be my boyfriend?" James asked. "Yes!" Regulus said and jumped up running to James and falling on his lap. James put his hands around Regulus' waist and kissed his cheeck. "So, how did you sleep, boyfriend?" James asked.

Regulus and James and figured they should tell Sirius. The problem was, they didn't know how he would react. However, they thought it was something that had to be done. So when Sirius came home few days later, James and Regulus told him to sit down for a chat.

"What did you want to talk about?" Sirius asked. "We are daiting" James said. He had always been more of a straight to point type of guy. "That's wonderful!" Sirius smiled, "I have been waiting for this ages! James, you can finally be my brother-in-law! Like a real brother!" "We aren't married" Regulus said. "Not yet but you'll see!" Sirius said, "Oh and I also have something to tell you. I have a boyfriend too. His name is Remus-" "You're daiting Moony?" James asked. "Duh" Sirius said, "Who else could possibly have taken my heart?"
