"This is not fair, why do you two get to have boyfriends and I don't?" Courtney complains while we sit at our lunch table on Monday.

"Oh please, you're just being petty, Court," Olivia smirks setting her tray on the table.

"You are damn right I am! I have been cheated in life, this is bull," Courtney rolls her eyes, stealing a couple of fries from Olivia's tray.

"Um, hello? I don't have a boyfriend," Quinn raises her hand slightly.

"Yeah, but you're Quinn," Courtney replies as if that statement makes sense. I roll my eyes at Courtney's reply.

"Gee, thanks Courts... bitch," she mumbles under her breath hoping we wouldn't hear. Olivia and I curl over from laughing and look at Courtney's face; she looks like she can't believe that Quinn just uttered those words to her.

Olivia stands up slightly and high-fives Quinn with a grin on her face.

"Anyway, we have more pressing matters to attend to," my tone is serious, so that they all calm down and give me their undivided attention. "The twins' birthdays are coming up this November in like, two weeks, and I was thinking a surprise party, thoughts?"

"Oh, my god, yes!" Courtney squeals loudly.

"Sure, sounds fun," Quinn shrugs with a distant expression.

"I'll help plan it," Olivia offers with a smile. We all stare at her quietly, a little shocked at her offering to help plan something.

"I'll tell Tessa she can invite some of her friends and then I'll ask mom and dad if they want to invite anyone too, we can make it a big thing at the house, maybe I could get Harrison to come home for the weekend?" I think aloud, trying to plan everything out.

"Oh god, not Harry," Olivia whined.

"It's his siblings' birthday and he's my brother, deal with it," I push her shoulder lightly at her exaggeration.

I could see Sebastian walking towards our lunch table with a grin on his face, his friends standing a few feet away kicking a soccer ball to each other. Olivia couldn't see him but judging by the scowl on Courtney's face, she definitely could. As he walks closer Courtney puts a hand in the air stopping him from approaching the table.

"Nope, fuck off, lunchtime is girl time," Courtney shoos him away with her hand and I laugh loudly. He looks at her with a hurt expression on his face.

"You guys are always so mean to me," he rolls his eyes, flipping off Courtney. He leans down and kisses Olivia quickly, resulting in Courtney and me making disgusted noises.

"Oh, come on, we don't want to see that," I whine turning my head away, annoyed.

"So, what are you girls doing?" He asks sitting at the table.

"Waiting for you to leave," Courtney replies nonchalantly, looking at her nails. Well, we do need to plan the party, so she's technically not wrong.

"Damn Courtney, what's up your ass this morning?" Sebastian stuck his tongue out at her immaturely.

"Nothing, I'm just allergic to mushy couples, I break out into hives, it's not pretty, you should run while you can," she says with a dramatic groan.

"She's just salty because she's single," Quinn pipes up laughing at Courtney's pout.

"Well, if you need someone, I can always ask one of my friends?" He offers with a smirk.

"I'm not that desperate," she laughs obnoxiously, taking a bite of her food.

"Mean. Okay, I'm going to go, the guys want to play a game before lunch is over, and I don't want to be near Miss Sunshine any longer," he stands up, squeezing Olivia's shoulder, who grins at him in response, and walks away from the table.

"You don't need to be a bitch to him just because we're dating," Olivia looks Courtney dead in the eyes with a blank stare. My eyes widen at Olivia's attitude; Quinn looks down at her lunch tray and starts picking at her food.

"Oh please he knew I was just kidding, maybe you're the one with something up their ass this morning," Courtney shrugs it off.

"Bitch," Olivia smirks throwing a fry at Courtney. Quinn and I breathe a sigh of relief. When these two fight, they don't hold back.

"Oh my gosh, you genuinely scared me for a second, I thought you were going to lose your shit," Quinn giggles putting her hand on her chest.

"I did hesitate for a second, and then I remembered who I was dealing with," Courtney laughs, eating her salad. Olivia smirks and winks at Courtney.

"And don't forget we have Girls' Brunch this Saturday, okay?" I quickly change the subject and they all nod in reply.

Now that it's been a few weeks since my knee got hurt, I can finally go back to track practice after school again, as long as I don't attempt to injure my knee again. Like I would actually do that on purpose.

I walk out on the field and over to the other track runners who smile and wave at me, welcoming me back, telling me that they're glad my knee is okay. I spot an annoyed Michelle standing a few feet away from everyone else.

"Michelle, I've missed you!" I yell dramatically and she scowls in return, making me laugh.

"Hayes, it's good to have you back," Ms. Fallon nods her head at me, taking registration. "Now, let's get to it, five laps around the track," Ms. Fallon blows her whistle and we all take off in a slow jog.

Practice lasts about an hour and I'm sweating so much by the end of it because I haven't been able to run for a few weeks. I bid my classmates and Ms. Fallon goodbye and walk to the parking lot, hoping to beat my siblings there.

Sebastian and Sophie are leaning against the car chatting, while Tessa sits on her skateboard rolling from side to side with it. How do they always beat me?

Nathan's car is parked next to mine and he stands in front of the twins telling them something. Sebastian nods his head with a shrug and Sophie nods her head quickly with a grin on her face. They notice me approaching and Nathan turns around with a smile on his face.

"Hey, how was your first practice back?" he leans over kissing my cheek and I smile at him in return.

"I feel like I'm dying, but in a good way, what about you?" I grin at him, grabbing his hand, and squeezing it softly.

"That's positive," he chuckles, "Training was good, but now I'm starving so I was wondering if you wanted to grab some early dinner with me?" he asks, swinging our hands lightly.

"I would love to, but I'm sweaty and gross," I whine knowing I smelt bad. Sophie giggles and Tessa rolls her eyes still staring at her phone screen; Sebastian just took out his phone, ignoring us.

"So am I, we can be gross together," he laughs pulling me closer to him and I laughed loudly, hugging his sweaty shirt lightly. We are so gross it's adorable.

"Okay, you've convinced me," I tell him dramatically and he throws his fist in the air.

I hand off the car keys to Sebastian and tell him to tell our parents why I won't be home for dinner; he nods in reply telling me he won't forget and I look at Sophie and tell her the same knowing she will be the one to actually tell them. Tessa waves goodbye climbing in the car and I walk over to the passenger of Nathan's SUV. Once we're in the car and buckled he leans over the gearshift and kisses me.

"Where are we going?" I ask excitedly, sitting back in my seat as he starts the engine.

"I was thinking somewhere with a bunch of junk food since I'm dying of hunger," he replies driving out of the school parking lot with my siblings in front of us in my car.

"You know the way to my heart, Ward," I tell him with a hand on my heart.

"And what if I told you we're going to Dave & Buster's so we can eat junk and play arcade games at the same time?" He asks with a smirk.

"Marry me," I reply with a laugh.
