PLEASE READ: Okay now that I have your attention, This next chapter could get kinda confusing with the events that happened in the previous chapter. Let me just write some of the characters thought processes BEFORE you all are like "Wait, why didn't Chat use his cataclysm?" Or "I thought Nathanael still loved Marinette?" Or whatever else you guys commented... (I read all of them😏😏😏) THIS IS ALL ACCORDING TO HOW I AM WRITING THE STORY AND SOME OF THE ML EPISODES MKAY?! ILL EXPLAIN AS YOU ALL READ BELOW:

Nathanael/Evillustrator: okay so the reason that he said he didn't care for Marinette was to get Chats miraculous. He still loves Marinette. With a deep passion. But in order to get Hawkmoth the miraculous (let's just say Hawkmoth promised him that Marinette would be his if Evillustrator got Hawmoth the miraculous) he had to make things emotionally hard for Adrien/Chat. Also if your wondering why he is basically threatening to kill Marinette, um, remember the Evillustrator episode. HE FREAKING TRAPPED CHAT AND MARINETTE INSIDE A BOX AND LEFT THEM ON A SINKING BOAT. TO DIE. Also near the end of this episode, EVILLUSTRATOR DRAWS A FRICKIN SAW AND SENDS IT TOWARDS LADYBUG. TO KILL HER. AND IT ALMOST ENDS UP SLICING CHLOE INTO SHREDS. Also at the end of this episode,  HAWKMOTH SAYS (and I quote) "NO! THE MIRACULOUS WAS PRACTICALLY MINE!" He is extremely frustrated at this point and I think it's the most frustrated he has been at the end of an akuma attack. (HE HAS ALSO BEEN FRUSTRATED WITH OTHER AKUMAS TOO DONT GET ME WRONG, BUT IN MY OPINION THE EVILLUSTRATOR WAS ONE OF HAWKMOTHS BETTER AKUMAS OKAY). Okay I think I'm done venting about Nathanael.

Chat/Adrien: alright imma just cut to the chase and answer the big question: WHY DIDNT CHAT USE HIS CATACLYSM TO BREAK THE BOX AND SAVE MARINETTE?!?
Okay so in the Evillustrator episode (yes I'll be referencing this episode a lot, deal with it😁😁) when chat goes to use his cataclysm, the Evillustrator just erased the light switch that Chat was going to destroy. Kinda the same concept for this situation. Chat knew that if he did try to use his cataclysm, then the Evillustrator would have just drawn something to make Chat destroy, therefore wasting his cataclysm. If Adrien truly wanted to save Marinette, being the gullible and blind child he is, his "only option" was to give up his miraculous. Well, villains never keep their promises (oops spoilers🙈🙉🙊) so yeah you can see where that will lead.

Um I think that's all I have to explain for now. Sorry if this seemed really angry and aggressive (*AGRESTive😏😏) and mean and all, I just wanted to explain why certain things didn't happen in the last chapter. Don't get me wrong I love your comments, but when I see the same thing over and over again, it starts to get a little annoying. BUT I STILL LOVE YOU ALL I DONT HATE YOU I SHOULD JUST STOP TALKING NOW AND LET YOU ALL BE MAD AT ME AND HAVE YOU BOT READ MY STORY ANYMORE IN SORRY. Stay Miraculous!
