Elliot didn't get suspended. Tucker tried though. The shooting was the last straw for Cragen, however. When Tucker came into his office the day after the shooting, demanding to know why Elliot shot a woman, Cragen started yelling at Tucker. When Tucker told Cragen to watch his attitude, Cragen nearly threw a punch at him, but settled for kicking Tucker out of his Station House, which made Elliot clap loudly as Tucker left.
Cragen did give him a couple days off to spend at home while Liv was coming back. Nick seemed to be happy to have her back as a partner, which made Elliot's blood boil a little. He sighed as he got his jacket from his chair and glared after Tucker. He saved a woman from being shot by her mother. He wasn't ashamed of what he did.

Five Years Later
~~~~~
Elliot straightened his tie in the mirror. He could hardly believe this day was coming so soon. It had been five whole years. He was going to give his oldest daughter away. Maureen had met a man, Jacob, and started dating four years ago. Then, just last year, he asked her to marry him. He still saw his little girl that sneaked back inside the house after hanging with her friends. That girl that saw a man on fire and had bad dreams, screaming for him.
However, she was a young woman now. She had finished college earlier this year and started a job at an office across town. Kathleen was working at a mental service agency dealing with people that needed help dealing with their mental illnesses. Elliot was so proud of them both. Elizabeth had chosen to go to Cal Tech in L.A to become a teacher. Dickie had just one year left on his military duty before he could come back home for good. His girlfriend Sarah had been waiting patiently while going to college herself. Her best friend, Nadine, that had gotten raped was doing good for herself. She had taken the police exam and was accepted.
While Dickie had grown up, he still had tendencies to act like his old self. Like when Sarah ended up pregnant two years ago. He tried to run, but Elliot ended up talking sense into him. Now, they had a little boy and Elliot heard that Dickie was thinking of proposing to Sarah.
Daniel was ten years old and in fourth grade. Elliot could hardly believe it. Tyler and Eli were eight and in second. Actually in the same class and everything. While they got some bullies at the start of the year at the fact that Tyler was adopted, Eli ended all the bullying. It got him some suspension, but Elliot, Liv, and Kathy actually loved it. Jasmine and Juniper were five years old now. They were identical in looks with Liv's brown hair and Elliot's perfect eyes and smile. They lucked out on getting Liv's nose too.
However Christopher Joshua Stabler, now three, looked exactly like his dad. He even had his anger issues too. Chris was a surprise for Elliot and Liv. They had just gotten engaged when Liv had gotten shot and the hospital had to tell them. The pregnancy was different with him than it was with the twins. It was safer, however they almost lost him when the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck and he turned blue as he came out. However, 30 seconds of spanks and lungs getting cleared and he was screaming his lungs out.
"Dad," Maureen said as she came out from behind the changing shade. (I don't know what it's really called) She was perfect in her dress. Elliot teared up as she walked to him. "I'm ready," she said with a quiver to her voice.
"Oh, baby," Elliot said. "You look so beautiful." He held out his arm for Maureen to take. He lead her out to the sanctuary where Jacob was waiting. Elliot hoped that the young man would cry as soon as he saw his future bride. Just as he hoped, Jacob started to cry the entire way up.
Kathy and Liv were both crying on Maureen's side of the church. Chris was being a cute little ring bearer as he followed his older sisters who were throwing pale pink rose petals violently. Elliot leaned over as Jasmine passed and whispered, "Don't throw so hard." She turned her head in a very Liv way and glared at him that made him feel like he was looking in a mirror. He leaned back up as she passed and shook his head slightly as Liv patted his leg with a chuckle.
"You have very strong genes, Elliot," Kathy whispered with a smirk to Liv who leaned into her and giggled while still crying. Elliot rolled his eyes as the ceremony went on.
Maureen danced with all the guys from the station house, even Nick Amaro. She didn't care for him at first because she had confessed that she was scared he would try to come between Liv and Elliot. Thankfully though, Maureen had nothing to worry about. Nick and his wife were expecting their second child.
Life was going great for Elliot. He thought back to what happened with Stuckey and thanked God that he'd been a psycho. If he hadn't, then there'd be a chance that he and Liv would never have gotten together.
