Alec's Pov

"Alexander please this is not your fault stop blaming it on yourself. If I hadn't been so careless none of this-" Alec cupped his face and kissed the warlock deeply, stopping him from rambling. "How do you feel? Do you want to talk about it?" Alec asks, rubbing Magnus's back.

"Violated. Disgusted. Hurt but more importantly, I feel safe now because I'm with you. I'd rather not talk about i..it was quite unpleasant." Magnus goes silent, slightly fidgeting at the tension between them. "Magnus none of this is your fault. That man used you, and I just thought for a second."

His voice trailed off as Magnus raised his brow. He sighed, finally putting together the pieces. "You thought I was cheating on you?" Magnus asks grimacing. Alec nods lightly, looking down.

"Alexander, if this relationship is ever going to work, I need you to trust me more than you do now. I may have been a bit of a lothario back in the day, but you are the best thing that has happened to me in my centuries of being alive. And I'd never risk losing that."

Magnus gets up and starts getting ready for bed. Alec grabs his hand. "I love you, Magnus Bane." His voice broke and his eyes brimming with tears. Magnus smiled and kissed him slowly. "I love you too, Alexander Lightwood."
