Jey had convinced me to travel with him and be there for his title match against Bron. I wasn't due to start my position as a backstage interviewer until mid October, so I had a few weeks free.

It was way too early in the morning. A little after 6 when Jey took the bags outside to load them into the car.

Jey's POV

Before I had gotten into the car, Maddie was already sound asleep. I smiled as I looked over at her. Tonight was a big night. Not only did I have a match for the intercontinental championship, but I was also going to be proposing to Maddie.

I realized that the past few months had been hard for her. I wanted to prove to her that she's the only girl I have my eye on.

I drove us to the airport, every once in a while looking over at her to check to make sure she was asleep.

It took almost an hour to get to the airport. As soon as I pulled into a parking spot, Maddie starts to stir.

"Good morning beautiful, we're at the airport,"

She yawns and rubs her eyes. "It's too early to be awake still,"

"You can sleep on the plane if you want, but we have to get going love. We have to check in and make it through security,"

Thankfully we quickly got checked in and while we waited in line for security, I placed the order for Mads breakfast. Thankfully within 10 minutes we were through security and headed towards our gate.

"Can I stop at Dunkin and get a coffee before we head to the gate?" She asks

I smile, "I already ordered it, all we have to do is pick it up,"

She smiles, "you're the best,"

"I know you're still not used to traveling or being up early,"

"It's been like three weeks since I got up with an alarm. I didn't miss being scared to death first thing in the morning,"

We stop by Dunkin and pick up the order I had placed. She happily sips her coffee as we walk towards the gate.

"Is it good?" I ask, noticing her smile

She nods, "Nothing makes me happier than coffee first thing in the morning,"

"Damn not even me?"

"That depends if you're bringing me coffee," she says

"I always try to have coffee ready as soon as you wake up,"

She smiles, "I know, you're the best. I don't know what I'd do without you Jey,"

"Me either Mads. I never thought I'd find love again after my divorce, but then you came along and it was love at first sight,"

"I love you," she says, gently kissing my cheek

"I love you too, Mads,"

Damn I can't wait to make this girl my fiance.

Maddie's POV

Even after drinking my coffee I was still exhausted. As soon as the plane boarded and I sat down, I snuggled up with Jey, laying my head on his shoulder.

"Mads we've landed," Jey says, gently shaking me.

I slowly sat up and rubbed my eyes "I fell asleep?" I ask

He nods, "As soon as you laid your head on my shoulder you were out. You're the only person I know who can fall asleep after drinking coffee,"

"I've just really tired the past few days, I don't know why,"

"We do have a few hours before we have to be at the arena if you want to take a nap at the hotel,"

"Only if you take one with me,"

"As much as I'd love to I have to get a workout in before the show tonight."

"As tempting as that sounds, I promised Damian I'd meet him at Noon,"

"So you're picking him over me?"

"Mads, I promise I'll make it up to you tonight after my title match,"

I sigh, Not saying anything else. I knew he'd be to tired and hurt after facing Bron to do anything.

"Come on Mads don't be upset," he says as we get into the rental car

"I just don't understand. I finally feel like having sex and you turn me down,"

"Wait really?" I ask

The afternoon and evening seemed to drag on as i waited backstage for Jey's match. I sat on one of the crates as he prepared for his match.

I scrolled through my phone, not paying attention to the fact that he had walked away until I heard his voice coming from around the corner.

"You're doing it tonight?" I hear Rhea ask

"Yeah, I've been planning it for weeks,"

"Do you think she knows?" Damian asks

My heart drops, what was this surprise he was talking about. Was he planning on breaking up with me for her?

I get up off the crate and walk to catering, not wanting to hear anymore of their discussion.

I didn't really pay attention to Jey's match. The thought of this surprise still looked in my mind. As soon as his music hit and he was announced the new Intercontinental champion, I walked back to the locker room to wait for him.

He comes into the room after about 20 minutes and instantly comes to give me a hug.

"Jey you're sweaty and gross, go shower so we can get back to the hotel," I say

"Damn why are you so grumpy?" He asks

He takes his bag into the shower area. When he comes out about 15 minutes later, he wraps his arms around me and gently kisses me

"Let's get back to the hotel, I think we have something to celebrate,"

"I'm not in the mood Jey,"

"Oh but you got mad at me earlier. Nah we're not playing this game Madison,"

"You can't force me to do anything Jey,"

"Why are you acting this way? You were fine before my match,"

"Let's just go back to the hotel, I want to sleep,"

I try to walk away but he grabs my arm. "What's wrong Mads?"

"Why don't you tell me? Whats this surprise you're planning?"

"Mads, I promise it's nothing bad, is that why you're freaking out and being mean?"

"I thought you were going to leave me. I heard you talking to Rhea and Damian earlier,"

"It's the exact opposite Mads, I'm not leaving you at all,"

He gets down on one knee in front of me, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you Mads. Will you marry me?"

"What?" I say in shock as.he pulls the ring out of his pocket. I stare at it for a second before nodding quickly, "Yes, Jey, I'll marry you,"

He pulls me into his arms and hugs me tightly. "I love you so much Maddie, don't ever forget that"
