Joyeuse Saint-Valentin! Part I

I woke up the next morning with a killer headache on my couch. I looked around and saw, on the floor, a certain brit, sound asleep. I rubbed my head as details from last night flowed back. I realized I must've been sober enough to carry Arthur back like I always did when he got wasted. I heard the Brit mumble as he got up. "Bonjour, Arthur..." I said quietly.
"Wha?" He asked, stupidly. When his surroundings began to sink in, he panicked. "What the bloody hell did you do to me last night?!?"
"Nozing, mon cher. I simply carried you 'ome and we slept."
"That better be all...I have a nagging feeling something isn't right..." He mumbled.
"Well...uh...you and I...I zink we kissed last night at your request," I said quickly and bit my lip.
"W-what?!?" He blushed a furious red. I nodded slowly. He put his face in his hands, and to my surprise, he started laughing. Laughing for God's sake!
"Why are you laughing?"
"Because of how this whole meeting has turned out," he sighed and looked at the ground, "first you took me to the Eiffel Tower, and I ruined the night by thinking about that damn revolutionary war, and then Kiku made that stupid comic," he blushed again. So he'd seen it, huh? "Next, you and I go out for a few drinks, and like always I get drunk, and you're too damned nice to leave me there, and carry me home, even though we are supposed to hate each other," he laughed again.
"I...I still don't see how that's funny..." I said, feeling stupid.
"You wouldn't. But all well, let's just get ready. Today's the last day of the meeting," he sighed. "You wouldn't happen to have any clothes I could borrow, would you? I'd hate to show up in the same clothes as yesterday," he said.
"But wouldn't Alfred laugh at you for wearing my clothes? Not to mention, it'd make zose zree shippers crazy," I said, thinking of Kiku, Elizabeta, and Kiku's sister, Taiwan or Meimei.
"Well, it'd be worse wearing the same clothes as yesterday, as Ludwig would chew me out, and Alfred would still make fun of me. He really thinks we are a couple," he sighed.
"Wouldn't zat just prove him right?" I asked as I grabbed a white button-up that was close to his size.
"I don't know, nor do I care," he said. I quickly gave him some khaki's that were near his size, and tried to leave. He grabbed my arm, "don't you need to get ready too?"
"Oui, but you can change in here first," I said.
An annoyed expression crossed his face, "idiot, we're gonna be late f you don't hurry. Just change now. I mean, this isn't the first time we've seen each other nude or near nude," he blushed. It was true we slept together before, but that was centuries ago. And I don't regret it.
"Fine," I said and quickly picked out a simple outfit. I wore a blue button up with khakis, while Arthur wore a green one with khakis. I chuckled. "You should wear your British flag scarf. It'd look good," I smiled.
"Thank you, and you should wear your bloody French flag scarf," he said, not looking at me.
"Alright," I smiled and grabbed my scarf, and he grabbed his. "Would you like me to drive you? Or is your pride going to make you get a cab?"
"Can you please drive me?" Arthur blushed. I chuckled and smiled.
"Oui. Let's go," I said and grabbed my keys. He nodded and pulled on his trench coat as we walked out of my house and down to my car.
On the way there, I decided to ask Arthur something. "Arthur, I was wondering, do you 'ave a Valentine zis year?"
"No. I don't usually even try to get one...why?"
"Just...curious..." I smiled.
"Frog, you're planning something, aren't you?"
"Non! Well, sort of...I was wondering if you'd like to do somezing fun after ze meeting today, zat is all!"
"Well, it's not like I have anywhere else to go. It's a short meeting today, right?"
"Oui. It is," I replied. Just like every other time the meeting is on a holiday, the meeting is cut short so we can celebrate with our loved ones (not to mention it is the last day). For example, Matthew and Alfred are going to be wandering around Paris together, as they simply couldn't find a valentine. Gilbert had bragged that he and Elizabeta were going out, much to Rodrich's dismay. All the Asian nations were also going out together. Even Ludwig had agreed to take Feliciano on a double date with Antonio and Lovino!
"Well, then I guess we can do something..." Arthur blushed as he looked out the window.
"Wonderful. Shall we meet up at say...3:30?" I asked. The meeting was supposed to end at 2:45.
"Alright. Now hurry up frog. I don't want to be late!" I chuckled quietly and went as fast as I could, and soon enough we arrived at the meeting place.
"What? Why are you guys arriving together?" I heard a loud voice ask. Alfred. I turned and saw the American holding back a laugh. "You guys are dating, aren't you? I knew it!"
"We aren't dating, you bloody wanker!" Arthur spat at his former colony.
"Arthur simply got to drunk last night, and i drove 'Im back to my 'Ouse, as I couldn't find 'is key card for 'is room," I shrugged as if it was nothing.
"Yeah, sure. I don't believe you," he laughed as we all walked into the meeting room.
"You goddamn Yankee! You know that I'd never date this perverted git!" Arthur yelled at him, while Alfred just laughed.
I laughed along with him as we all walked into the meeting room. "Francis! Did you bed the Englishman?!" I heard a loud, obnoxious voice call out as I stepped in. Gilbert. I looked at Arthur's face flush bright red with anger.
"I didn't have sex with the bloody git!! Why does everyone think I'd ever do such a disgusting thing?!" He shouted.
"Because you did a while back?" Antonio shouted at him. So far, they were gonna get my ass kicked by the frail, yet strong, Brit.
"Shut up!!"
"Wait, you had sex with him before?" Alfred asked. I felt my cheeks grow warm, as Arthur's went completely scarlet.
"Shut the hell up, Alfred!" He shouted at the American, getting ready to choke him.
My friends walked over with Lovino and Elizabeta, and began to question us. "We all already knew that you and Francis have slept together before," Antonio said bluntly. "No need to be embarrassed if you want to again!" He laughed. Arthur glared at him and kicked his shin. "Ow! That wasn't cool!" I jabbed him in the ribs. "Hey!"
"Shut up, Toni. You're gonna get my ass kicked!!" I hissed.
"Why didn't you ever tell me you guys slept together?" Alfred said.
"I said, shut up, Yankee!"
"Eek! I ship it!!" Elizabeta shouted.
"Again with the shipping stuff??" Gilbert questioned his girlfriend.
"Yep!" She smiled. "But you have to admit, Gil, they'd be adorable together!" She squealed.
"Ja, birdie..." He smiled. He always did have a soft spot for the Hungarian nation.
"Why does everyone do this?!" Arthur shouted.
"If you hate it so much, tea-bastard, why don't you just leave? Or do you actually care for wine-bastard?" Lovino asked in his bitchy way.
"I-I..." For once Arthur was silent.
"Hallo everyone! Sit down, so we can start the meeting! France! You should be running this!" Germany shouted at me.
"Ah! Uh...oui, mon Ami! Je suis désolé!" I said as we all went to our retrospective seats. "Well, first off, Joyeuse Saint-Valentin to you all! You couples," I glanced at my friends, "must be 'appy you're in ze city of love~!" I smiled. A murmur of agreement came from many of the countries. "Now, shall we get started?"

When the meeting ended, Arthur and I agreed to meet at the Eiffel Tower once we were both ready, around 3:30, instead of outside a cafe. I was already prepared, so I went to a store I was rather fond of that sold chocolates. "Bonjour, Monsieur Francis!" The girl behind the counter chirped.
"Bonjour, Anna!" I smiled. She was a very nice girl who was always willing to help her favorite country, much like another girl I used to know.
"What can I do for you today?"
"I need chocolates and roses," I said quickly.
"Alright. I'll be right back," she smiled and went to the back. When she returned, she smiled and asked, "So who's the lucky person getting these?"
"...you aren't allowed to call me crazy," I said.
"I never have, right?"
"Oui...well...zey are for a fellow nation..."
"Who? Is it for Ca- Matthew?" She asked. She was so used to calling us our Nation names, but I was still trying to get her to call us our human names.
"Non...its for...Arthur," I said, my voice now almost a whisper.
"Angleterre?" She asked, surprised.
"Oui. I 'ave actually fallen 'ead over 'eels for 'im," I smiled.
"Zat's wonderful, Monsieur Francis!" She smiled as she gave me the box of chocolates and roses. I paid her and we chatted for a bit longer about how to win the brit's heart entirely.
I also went down to a corner shop and bought a lock with a key. Hopefully this would win Arthur's heart.
