I sat at home with ice on my knuckles and drinking a hot chocolate on the sofa. Dan joined me and i sighed

"At this rate it would be simpler to just get married at the registry office. The who's not speaking to who is giving me a headache."

"Oh please, you wrote up an amnesty act and they signed it because you asked. Even Blair who rarely gives in so easily did. No matter what's going on I bet that for us they will put it aside for a few hours." her draped his arm around me and I cuddled into him.

-one week later-

Chuck, Nate, Blair, Serena, Dan and I all gathered together to eat Christmas dinner. No parents, no drama. Just us.

"See, food is more delicious when you cook it yourself." Dan commented coming out of the kitchen.

"Yep, which is why we're gonna end this experience in middle class living and call house keeping to come clean up." Nate added

"No way. I stuck my hand up a turkey's butt. You're not getting out of your job." Blair retorted

"Well i provided the location so I did my part. I'm off to New Zealand to enjoy the taste of summer and girls who like sex games in the rain forrest."

"What? But the wedding is next week."

"Worry not little sister. i will be back in time. Who else would give you away." he kissed my head.

"I'll help clear seen as it's only fitting, seeing as I did the shopping, set the table and over saw the cooking."

"Don't milk it. We're getting up." I sigh "Come on Nathaniel." I stood and started to collect the plates. Serena's phone rang and she denied the call

"I that Mom?" I wonder

"By proxy. She's in monecito so she's having CeCe call. Is Rufus joining her?" Serena asked as I tool the plates into the kitchen

"Yeah, but he's driving out there on his own. I think he needed time to clear his head." Dan replied just as I came back round.

"See I told you road trips were strictly for Humphrey's" Blair retorted

"I know, and soon I'm gonna be one"I grin as Dan gives me a kiss. I hear Blair let out a sound of disgust.

"Since my Mom isn't going to help get Ben out of Jail. I wanna find the judge whose name is on the affidavit. I think he lives upstate so I thought of turning it into a road trip."

"What about school did you call the Dean?" I wonder

"I did and I explained it wasn't me that dropped out. She wasn't happy but she did reinstate me."

"Goodbye friends, sister, Dan."

"Chuck!" i scolded

"Apologies, future brother in law. I will see you on your wedding day."

"I'll walk you out." Nate handed me the rest of the plates. I rolled my eyes and went into the kitchen and started clearing up.

"So what last minute wedding plans are there to do?" Serena asks joining me in the kitchen

"I'm going out to Hudson in a couple of days for my last dress fitting with Jenny. But apart from that everything is done. There is only 100 people in attendance."

"Well i will be sure to make it back."

"Safe travels." I nod to her she looks like she wants to hug me but i go back to what I'm doing. I scrape the food off and put the dishes in the sink. Serena leaves with no further word

"You better not be using regular dish soap on those plate , Rosie." Blair scolds "Why are you still here anyway."

"Because I want to be. now if your gonna be annoying you can wash I will dry and Dan can put away."

"I'm good with that." The three of us laughed and joked, talked about what we were gonna be doing for the next week and wedding stuff, I didn't take us long to clear everything away.
