I slipped out of the car. Dan and I arrived home from our honeymoon in the remote quite English Countryside, with no one to bother us one bit. No drama, and no problems for the entire week. I opened the door

"Hang on a second." I stopped. Dan swept me off my feet and I squealed/laughed as he took me inside. "Ah, welcome home Mrs Humphrey."

"Why thank you Mr Humphrey." Our bags were brought inside and I tipped the driver. "Thanks." Dan shut the door

"Home sweet home." I chimed falling onto the couch.

"Yep." he joined me "You do know that everything we let is not figuratively banging the door down to be dealt with?"

"I know." my phone rang "There we go, not even five minutes through the door." I comment and answer

"Chuck how was the rest of the trip?" I ask standing and taking my coat off

"Sadly it was a bust, Jack was out of the country. And your honeymoon?"

"Details that stay between husband and wife perv." I jog downstairs and make two cups of coffee.

"f you say so. I do have another option our fathers old business partner Russel Thorpe is in from Chicago. I'm heading to see him now in hopes of getting a meeting. Are you attending the family brunch."

"I am, though neither Dan or myself will mention anything of your trip and it's true intentions. We promise."

"My thanks. I will speak with you later and know how my efforts have turned out. Goodbye Sister."

"Goodbye brother." we hang up and I take the coffee's upstairs. I hand one to Dan and enjoy the moment

We weren't home long Dan had a internship interview planned for the afternoon and we were heading to have brunch. Both of us changed and headed out.We spotted Serena on our way.

"Hey Newlyweds." she hugged the both of us "How was the honeymoon?"

"Great." we answered not divulging anything more.

"And your road trip?" I asked

"Nothing. My mother's deviousness is the gift that keeps on giving. When i found out where he might be vacationing, he wasn't there and no one knew where he had gone. i then checked the county clerks office and because it involved a minor the case was sealed." she told us as we headed into the restaurant. We opened the doors and there was Mom, Rufus and Eric. Eric came up to us.

"Hey, I wanted to call but she wouldn't let me." he told us.

"Yay." i mumbled and the three of us sat down and took our coats off.

"I'm sorry for ambushing you guys but we needed to start talking again. I know the last time we were together wasn't an appropriate time but I think now is." Rufus stated giving brief mention to the wedding "Dan, Rosie how was the honeymoon?"

"It was great, peaceful." I told them

"And the internship search?"

"Oh that's right maybe I can give one of my friends a call at Conde Nast." Mom offered as i took a bite of my omelet

"Humm, maybe you could forge your signature on the cover letter." Serena retorted

"Serena." Mom reprimanded

"This talking thing is going great." Dan commented ad I smirked into my drink

"I wanna know how many times you got your hair done this week while a innocent man sat in prison

"Serena." Eric sighed

"I'm handling this in a way that is best for this family. And we're not going to discuss it anymore." Mom replied

"Okay." Serena left.

"I think it's my turn on the check Serena train." I comment. I grab some pastries and leave. Dan followed suit.

"I'm gonna get going. I'll see you later." he told me and we kissed before parting ways. I joined Serena

"So question, but why isn't Ben going after Mom himself?"

"Because he know she'll go to the cops and tell them what Juliet did to me." she answered

"Oh, you mean kindnap and drug you. Yeah big problem." I retort

"Look, however wrong it was enough harm has been done to that family by ours." She told me

"Well taking on that much can mess with the best of us. How I live for the simple shit of high school." I reply and she gives a small smile

"I am tired and this crusade has taken me away from other things."

"Well, most of us take turns in listing to problems. Do you wanna go somewhere and talk? You've done it for me many times." before she could answer there was a beep of a horn. Chucks limo pulled up and he stepped out.

"Rosie, Serena we have to talk."

"What is it?" I ask

"Unless we stop her, your mother is going to sell Bass Industries in 24 hours." he told us "I think i have a plan that will get us all what we want."

"We've waited this long, what a few more hours to have a talk?" Serena suggested

"Let's go." The three of us got into the limo "I'm just gonna call Dan I was supposed to meet him before his interview." I hold down one and hear it ring out.

"Miss me already?" he answers and i chuckle

"No, I'm calling because I have to cancel. Something just came up with Bass Industries and the Lily problem."

"Oh okay."

"I would have suggested to meet at the Waldorfs but then I didn't know how long it was going to take. But Good Luck okay."

"Thank you. I'll talk to you later. I love you."

"I love you too, bye."
