I woke up expecting Dan to be next to me but there was only a note.

Morning. Left for internship early. Made you breakfast though, talk with you later, Love Dan.

I smiled and gout of bed I texted him and Blair good luck messages, seen as they were both stringing internships today. I then made my way downstairs where there was a stack of pancakes waiting for me. I warmed them up, grabbed some berries and cream then ate before my morning class.

-3rd Person-

While Rose carried on with her day, Dan found out that the internship Lily helped him get was also the same as Blair. Since the two found out they had been competing not only against each other but the other interns. Dan stood looking at a vast collection of shoes, Blair came over and noticed him staring.

"The scrappy zanottis would look great with you sweaty gym socks." he held one of them out

"Epperly asked me to pull the lemon Louboutins." he told her

"Oh, you poor lost lamb. Let me help you" she put down the Zanottis down and lifted up another pair

"I'm married to Rose Bass you expect me not to know that those are Marc Jacobs. And they're mustard." he turned and walked away.

Then Blair put her signature perfume in a coffee made for Epperly she listened in to Epperly set it out in disgust.

"Ugh. Why does this taste like Chanel number 5?" The intern scurried away and Dan came in

"Hey. I was getting myself a cappuccino thought you might like one. The nutmeg foam that's a Humphrey touch. My Dad use to own a coffee bar."

"Thank you Daniel. Very thoughtful."

Does anyone have a stapler." Dan and lair snapped their head towards each other than ran to get the stapler and fought over it

"Give it up Blair, unlike the other interns I know you and your stupid tricks."

"Oh look it's Rosie." his head turned and she snatched it from him. he huffed out a long breath.

Then the two were sorting out bags for the party tonight.

"So, how's your first day?" Dan smirked at her

"Well, what should have been perfection has now been tainted by a run in with Brooklyn's Benedict Arnold." she retorted

"How am I a traitor the only reason you're still here is because no one has ratted out your attempts at sabotage." he replied

"And the only reason you're still here is because no one's asked you 'Who Givenchy?" They then overheard a conversation

"Lynn's flight from Dublin got cancelled. I knew Stefano should have made that Colin Farrell interview a phone instead." Epperly stressed walking past the room the two were in

"Hirschberg's out." Dan commented

"Major disaster." Blair adds

"Unless someone shows up with a new Author and saves the day" Dan suggest smiling

"Yes. And when she does, she will shine as the best intern then her insipid intern will be fired"

"You do realise that I know Jeremiah Harris personally right?"

"And you do realise I know everyone personally right?" she huffed

"Okay then we'll both show up with our authors at tonight's party and whoever Epperly decides is the best fit for W wins, the other resigns." he gesturing to making a cut.

"I can agree to that."

"It's gotta be a clean fight. do you understand that as a concept? No sabotage?" he emphasised

"I can't wait to see you bleeding on the rack. But, yes, no sabotage." she held out her hand and Dan shook it

After finishing a few of my classes. I got a call from Mom.

"Hey, Mom."

"Rosalie, how about a late lunch. Are you free?" she asked

"Sure."

"Lovely how about E.A.T. Say in half an hour." she suggested and I hailed a taxi.

"Okay, i'll see you then." I got in and gave the address. When i arrived she was already waiting there "Hey, mom." I gave her a quick hug and sat down

"Rosalie, I'm glad you came." I ordered my food and then I saw her expression, many times since I've known her.

"What did you do that Serena found out about?" I questioned

"How did you know."

"I'm perceptive. Go on, let's here it."

"I don't know whether you heard that I got Ben Donavan out on parole." I nodded yes I did, Serena told Blair, who told me. "Well he knows information that could damage if not destroy this family, so I might have tried to pay him off." I roll my eyes

"He sent it back, Serena found out." I said nothing "Say something."

"I don't know what to say. Cause the truth is if I was in a similar situation I may or may not do the same thing. That is after trying to plot and scheme something then failing. Gut reaction to protect family members is a whole different ball game. And right here would be where I insult Serena but i will refrain."

"The worse thing is, when she found out Rufus was there and I did tell him that I would buy Ben an apartment not pay him off."

"Now that is where you go wrong. The Humphrey's are good people so tell them the truth, let him judge but if father and son are anything alike they go one of three ways. They help you, the pretend not to hear and let you do it, or they encourage you not to do it."

"So that's your secret?" she chuckled

"Dan knows who I am. I've been straight up since the day we met. About wanting to change but also accepting the fact that I can't help but be nosey and I can't help it if I'm bitchy. That and he learned pretty quick to pick up on what I'm thinking, it's eerie." she laughed

"Rufus knows that you do what you do to protect the people you care about. I'm sure he just wishes he wasn't the last to know. If I've learnt anything from being with a Humphrey is that to them being out of the loop with the people the love hurts more than what they're actually doing." Mom took my hand and gave it a small squeeze

"Your father would have been extremely proud of the woman you've become Rosalie. i know that for a fact."
