-3rd Person-

The Bass-van der woodsen- Humphrey clan were all shaken up from what had happened the night of the party. Rosie finally explained what happened during the meeting before Lily turned herself. Dan and Blair were shocked. They stepped away as Rosie nursed a hot chocolate.

"Do you think it could be true?" Dan asked

"Bart Bass was capable of many things but that's not the point right now. Rosie adored her father, he wasn't perfect but she loved him. And I think right now we need to distract her if you know what happens if she gets stuck in her head for too long. Everything is blowing up around her and right now we are the only ones that can be there for her.

"What about Chuck, he's her brother."

"No, no right now he'll do more harm than good. Get her to bed, tomorrow I will take her out for some retail therapy. You can take her to a meeting, I think she needs to be doing them more often with everything that is gonna go down. We co-ordinate on how to get her through this." They agreed

"The van der Woodsen family is no stranger to the tabloids. But this time, it appears the mother of all scandals surrounds the mother. Sources say that Lily Humphrey could be facing up to 10 years in prison for forgery and obstruction of justice...Will Lily Humphrey end up behind bars. The society Queen allegedly forged her daughter's signature on a affidavit that sent an innocent man to jail for almost 3 years.

The victim, Ben Donavon has been cleared of all charges. But it's unlikely Lily Humphrey will be so lucky. She's hold up in her apartment while her lawyers scramble to work out a deal. We are currently outside of the van der Woodsens upper east side apartment...Odds makers around town are taking bets on the length of her prison sentence."

Over the next few days, Dan and Blair untied together to get Rosie through this time. They took her out for various things and planned nights as a three and a couple. Meanwhile Chuck was dealing things quite well. He called Serena.

"Hey Chuck."

"How's Lily holding up?" he wondered muting the tv that was showing coverage of the VDW Penthouse.

"I'm here now, aren't you coming for lunch?" Serena asked

"Lily thought it would be complicated enough without me." he replied going to look out of the window

"My grandmother, my stepfather, my father who was last seen fleeing from the police? Complicated is an understatement."

"How is William."

"If I cut everyone out of my life who made a mistake, no one would be left. It was nice of Rosie to lift the ban on him being here."

"Speaking of Rosie, have you heard from her or Blair? I've been trying to contact them"

"I thought you spoke at your party?"

"Rose and I found something out and she left shortly after. As for Blair she's cut me off, when she said she didn't want to talk to me I didn't think it would be ever again. She's not seeing someone is she?"

"I don't think so." Serena replied "But she had been more busy if that's even possible since she no longer has a job to go to. It does seem like she is a little stressed I think loosing her path of work has been a little more difficult than she expected."

"Thanks for the head up. Give Lily my love."

"I will bye."

Blair and Dan had been my rock since what I told them. Right now, Blair and I were grocery shopping, she insisted she came with me.

"Blair, I'm fine now. But thank you for coming."

"You're my best friend. Besides I kind of owe you for not being there a few times. Anyway, have you spoken to your brother yet?" she asked

"No and I don't plan to he's a child and even that is offensive to children." I put food and drink in her cart after giving them the once over. It was all mainly comfort food. I needed comfort food right now.

"He's not a child." Blair sighed "I think he's grown up over the past couple of years." I stopped what I was doing

"You want to bet on that?"

"What?"

"My brother is still a child and I bet that I can prove it. My thank you to you is proving that while you have actually grown up he hasn't." I could see her thinking it over

"I can't believe I'm agreeing to this. What's the plan?" she sighs and I give a small smile.

The two of us arrived back at mine, Eric was there

"Eric the brother I wish I had!" I chime carrying the groceries

"You're in high spirits, for everything that's going on." he comments and I grin "I know that grin you're up to something."

"I am, where is Daniel?"

"Here, Hey Babe." we kissed and he took the bags off me we headed downstairs. "So what's going on.

"I have found the perfect thing to help me feel like my old self. Screwing with my brothers head."

"I don't get it. How is messing with Chuck's head gonna help with everything that is going on?"

"Coming from a person who is not experienced in the art of mind games. My brother is a ass, now I was going to take the high road and not do anything. While I was talking with Blair, I realised revenge especially with my brother even's things out, puts things in balance. And if I get to prove a point it's a bonus"

"What do you have in mind?"
