Jays POV
I head to my apartment and put the key in the door handle. "Are you lost" I ask the tall female next to me. "Are you detective Jay Halstead" "yes and you are" "DEA agent Skyler Owens your sergeant said I would find Lily Johnson under your protective custody here. " she says "Kate" I say opening my apartment and welcoming my guests inside.
Lily's POV
Jays apartment is huge compared to what I've lived in for the past year or more at the shelter I ran away to.  "Jay  has Lily told you what happened before her parents were murdered." Agent Thomas asks Jay "no what happened he says looking at me. I sit down on the couch and just sit there. "Lily it's ok" Kate says putting her hand on my shoulder after sitting down next to me. "One day when I was about nine and a half years old, I was on my way home from one my usual average orchestra rehearsals. I was on my way home when I saw on a corner guys dealing." I say wiping away tears as I lean over against Kate. "It's ok Lily no one can hurt you now" Kate says stroking my hair.  "We were on the scene with an undercover agent who was watching the buy from the deceases car.  She was walking by and saw the dealer shot the buyer, she ran when it happened and the shooter saw her. He started to fire bullets at her but we got to her before he had a chance to kill her because he had to reload his gun. He was arrested on scene for murder and attempted murder. She was the prosecutions key witness." Agent Owens says. "And to keep her from testifying" Jay says but I interrupt saying "no they did a crapy job protecting their key witness, they were so good at there job that the parents of that witness were shot while they were at a friends house" I yell at Jay and Agent Owens. "Well you should leave I have work in the morning" Jay says.
