At school I'm the quiet girl at the back of the room and the reason for that was because I had a stuttering problem and is it embarrass to say it so I just never spoke and no one really cared.

Because I never spoke people just assumed that I'm mute and didn't try to even speak to me since they also thought I had depression.

Being alone isn't really as bad as it sounds, yes I do get bullied here and there but it's not that bad.

I was listening to music with one AirPod and my head down when I felt someone tap my shoulder I looked up and I was a teacher "Y/n are you okay?" She asked and I looked to see that everyone was staring at me.

I nodded and she said "why don't you try an answer the equation on the board" she said, and I nodded getting up walking to the board.

I looked at the equation then grab the marker and proceeded to solve it which it didn't take me long "good job! everyone why don't you give Miss. Y/l/n an applause"

The class groaned and lazily clapped there  hands and I quickly went back to my seat.

The girl sat in front of me, turned around and smiled "good job Y/n I guess your really smart" she said and I blushed.

I was going to open my mouth to say something but her best friend kaylee said "she's mute" "oh right I forgot" Jayla turned around and I sighed laying my head back down on the table.

-time skip-

The bell rang, which meant the day is finally over, everybody quickly got up from their chairs, grab their belongings and exited the classroom.

By the time I left the hallways were empty, I was walking to my locker when I heard a familiar voice "hey loser"

Shit

I turned around and there she stood Ava my bully and her little minions coco and Lena.

I don't know what I did to them, but they seem to hate me ever since I got here and tried their best to make my life hell.

"Sup geek" Ava pushed me against the locker "did you finish my homework?" she asked, and I shook my head "why the fuck not" she asked mad.

"oh, right I forgot you can't speak" "poor you" coco said taking my books away and throwing them on the ground.

Before they could do anything more, someone yelled "Hey stop that!" I turned around and saw that it was Jayla.

"What the hell are you two doing?" "none of your business" Ava spat "yeah well Y/n is my friend so I think it is"

"Really you're friends with her" coco said disgusted " yeah, I am and if I see one of you bully her again I'll make sure to tell the whole school to bully you back"

Ava and Coco looked at each other and let go of me "bye freak"

"Hey you okay" Jayla asked and I nodded picking up my books, Jayla bent down and help me.

"how long have they been bullying you for?" a I again open my mouth to say something but she cut off "oh right sorry I forgot your mute"

She was about to leave when I pulled in the courage and said "Thank you"

Jayla stopped at your tracks and turned around to face me again "did you just speak?" she asked and I nodded "wha-I thought you were mute"

"I-I'm not" "what then why don't you ever speak?" "b-b-because I-I have a stu-stuttering p-problem" I said embarrassed.

"Ohhh okay...you know I don't mind your stuttering" she said "I think you really have nice voice" I blushed at her words and said "t-thanks"

"Here let me add your number to my contact so I could at least text you" she said and we exchanged numbers.

"Alright Y/n I have to go now, but don't worry I'll text you later" she said and I nodded. "Bye" she smiled and left.

I couldn't believe what had just happened
