Today was the day my girlfriend and I got our back tattoos, yes back tattoos.

I don't know how Jayla made me say yes to this, I'm not really a huge fan of tattoos but I knew that it'll mean a lot to her and I would do anything to make my girl happy.

We walked into the tattoo show and told him that we booked an appointment with her dad's tattoo artist who was a talented good family friend.

Jayla went first and chose to tattoo a huge butterfly on her back since loves butterflies and says that they remind her of me.

I decided on what I wanted but didn't tell her, she promised to not peek and just sit Infront of me and hold my hand.

"I hate you for making me do this" I said laying down on the chair "and I love you for doing this" she said pecking my lips.

"Are you ready?" he asked "wait is it painful?" I asked worriedly "no babe don't worry" Jayla said "well it depends on your pain tolerance" he said and I looked at Jayla eyes wide open "I have a low pain tolerance" I said and she kissed my hand.

"I'll be here" she said "okay Y/n you ready?" he asked again and I nodded, I squeaked when I felt the needle on my back.

"ughhh this hurts" I groaned and Jayla laughed "shut up" I whined burying my face into the chair.

30 minutes later and he was done "wanna take a look" he asked and I nodded "Jayla turn around" I said and she whined "nope turn around I'm not showing you it until your 18 birthday" I said.

I looked at the tattoo and smiled "it looks amazing that you"

Today is Jayla's 18th birthday and I'm so excited to show her my tattoo, after she blew the candles of her cake and opened the presents from her family I took her aside.

"hey is everything okay?" she asked worried "yea I just wanna show you something" I said and took off my jacket turning around and showing her my back.

She gasped and said "Y/n that's amazing!" I turned around and smiled "of course it is, I chose a lion because it reminds me of you, your strong, smart, brave, and most of all beautiful"

Jayla teared up and hugged me "thank you" "of course and here is your gift" I said taking out a small box from my pocket.

It was a promise ring.

"ones for you and the others for me" I said putting it on her finger "now this you can't ever take it off" "I promise I won't" she said.

"This is the best gift everrr" she squealed looking at her ring  "now come on we have to show everyone" she said locking our hands together and taking us back to the party.
