"(Y/A/N), we are going to the Moonpool today. What travelling herbs do we use?" Jayfeather questioned. "Burnet, Sorrel, Daisy and. . ." panic jolted in you as the name of the herb slipped away from your mind. "Chamomile. Don't push yourself too hard." to your suprise, Jayfeather touched your shoulder with his tail tip. "Now find all those herbs and wrap them up in leaves, then tie it up with some grass." he instructed. "But, how does Chamomile look like?" you didn't know what it is anyways, you never even used it once. "Never seen it." the tom meowed blankly. "Sorry!" a small purr of amusment escaped his throat. "Its a flower with a large center." He purred! He's in a good mood today. "I am, so don't try and destroy it." Jayfearher read your mind. You blushed in embarrassment, lucky that Jayfeather can't see it. "Now go."

Soon, you got all the herbs on some leaves. "Wait let me check." the tabby tom sniffed the herbs then smiled. "Good job. Give some catmint for Mousefur's cough." you grabbed a stem with leaves, the sweet aroma of the herb filled your mouth. You heard Jayfeather sigh. "We'll need to find some catmint later."

"Mousefur, Jayfeather asked me to give you some catmint. "Don't waste it on some dying elder." she rasped. Then a series of coughs escaped her. "Mousefur, you aren't going to die of some mouse-brained cough. Take it! It will ease some pain at least." Mousefur looked at the remedy given to her then reluctanly ate it.

"Jayfeather should I give Mousefur some honey? She can't really talk." you told him. "Ok." you dashed out of the den with a small honeycomb in your muzzle. "I brought you some honey, Mousefur! And I sit here until you take some." you mewed firmly. "Wished Jayfeather never choose you." she mrrowed in amusment then licked the honey.

"Get some rest, we're going to the Moonpool." the sun was dipping low into the horizon. Jayfeather curled up his nest, soon falling asleep. You tried to sleep, but the cold of the new leaf-bare came into the den. You decided to shift your nest nearer to Jayfeather's. You pressed to his warm soft pelt, soon sleeping before you know it.

Jayfeather's POV

I felt one side of my pelt hot. I then realised (Y/A/N) was sleeping next to me, her (F/L) was soft. Getting up, I licked her ear and ate the travelling herbs. Then I checked the herb store, feeling a clump of fur between the cracks. Unseathing my claws, I got some of the fur out and scented it. No, it can't be. The fur was Hollyleaf's! "H-Hollyleaf?" I whispered to myself, my voice full with grief. I realised she was Leafpool's apprentice once, her fur must have got stucked there.

"Jayfeather! Should we go now?" my apprentice called. Pawsteps thrumming along the medicine den floor. "Have you eaten your herbs yet?"
"Yeah!"
"Ok, we can go."
(End of POV)

"Jayfeather, I'm scared. What if the others don't like me?"
"Will StarClan really visit my dreams?"
You asked so many questions, Jayfeather answered none. "I told you, you'll have to find out. And never share your dreams with others, but if it is an omen or prophecy, you'll have to tell me." he sighed. "Come on follow me, we will be late." he bolted off, suprising you. You never knew blind cats can run. You pelted after him, being a furball of energy, you easily caught up with him.

"Jayfeather, you got an apprentice?" you saw a sleek silver tabby staring at you."I'm (Y/A/N)!" you introduced yourself, puffing up your (F/C) fur. On the other paw, Jayfeather ignored everyone. "(Y/A/N), touch the water with your nose. Try to remember everything you see." he mewed. You felt the cold jolting into you, it wasn't painful, but shocking.

"Jayfeather's new apprentice, I see?" a femimine voice sounded. Many faint starry outlines came closer, becoming more clearer. "I am Bluestar, ThunderClan's leader before Firestar." she meowed softly. "Jayfeather got an apprentice? When hedgehogs come flying into StarClan!" a broad-faced cat appeared, her amber orbs looking at your (E/C) eyes. "If that's so, guess he has some sanity in him."
"Yellowfang!" Bluestar snapped. "Why are you here? You were supposed to talk with Jayfeather." The former ShadowClan medicine cat narrowed her eyes. "He's right there, Bluestar." she flicked her tail to Bluestar's side. "Jayfeather!" your eyes shone with happiness. "If you're here, where's the other medi-" Bluestar slapped your mouth shut with her tail. "No. He's just special. He can walk in other cats' dreams."
"Then why is he here?"
"I don't know."
"Jayfeather. Stop walking into dreams where you shouldn't walk into." you heard Yellowfang scolding Jayfeather. "Not my fault." he hissed.
You mrrowed in amusment. You didn't know there was cats grumpier than Jayfeather. A part of you wanted to tell Dustpelt, but then you remembered you can't share dreams with others. Suddenly, you were back at camp, warriors, apprentices and kits were coughing badly. Your mentor was pacing around in the medicine den, stressed out. The vision faded.
"(Y/A/N). Leaf-bare is comming, and herbs won't survive in this one. You'll have to go further from Clan territory to twoleg place."

You jolted awake. The other medicine cats were waking up too. "Jayfeather-" you started, but he covered your muzzle with his paw. "Shh, I told you no sharing dreams." he snapped.

You had to run a little too catch up, due to your short legs. "Jayfeather, wait up! Its really important." Luckily, the tom broke his stride, letting you catch up. "Bluestar said we needed to go to twoleg place to find herbs as this leaf-bare will kill all of it. If we don't, everyone will get white or greencough and the herb store. . . it was totally empty. I saw it!" your (E/C) eyes looked into Jayfeather's blue cloudy ones. After what seems like moons, he sighed. "Okay. I'll tell Firestar."

Jayfeather's POV
I saw (Y/A/N) for the first time! I love her beautifully groomed (F/C) (F/L) fur and (E/C) eyes. Finally I got to see my apprentice instead of some random StarClan cat.
