They walked together for a bit in silence, just side by side. 
Dick the whole time kept playing with his tie around his neck, twisting the end of it in between his fingers with his head down as he walked along side Jason.
Jason keep glancing over at Dick, he didn't really know why he was but he just felt the sudden need to keep checking up on the guy.

Jason finally stopped walking and stopped in front of Dick, causing him to freeze and finally raise his head up to meet Jason's gaze.

Dick's blue eyes scanned Jason's face, awaiting for him to say something.
"Maybe he realized that I'm a waste of space and is going to tell me to get lost" thought Dick as he stared up at Jason. 
They both stared at each other for a moment in silence, both being completely lost and consumed by one another's gaze.

"Are you hungry?" asked Jason who raised an eyebrow and tilted his head to the side as he watched Dick think for a moment. It looked like there was an internal struggle within his blue eyes.

Dick sighed and looked down at the ground. "Am I hungry? Do I want to eat? Would  I get in trouble for eating? Do I deserve to eat?" these thoughts bounced around in his mind. He hadn't truly eaten in a while. He drew in a sharp breath. He heard someone take a step closer, he totally forgotten that Jason was standing before him, so he glanced up quickly, his blue eyes slightly widen. 
Jason squinted his green eyes at Dick.

"Come on!" said Jason, he put his hand on Dick's shoulder and pushed him forward just a bit. Dick looked at him with a tiny piece of worry written upon his face. 

Jason pushed Dick along down the road towards a tiny diner.

Dick was in sensory overload. The noises of the other customers in the diner, the bell on the door as it opened and closed. The chef shouting out different orders, people chatting and eating. 
His eyes were a bit wide. His anxiety was high right now.

Him and Jason found a table and sat down. Dick sat nervously upon the chair as he eyes looked over the entire diner. His blue eyes fell down upon Jason who was looking at the menu. 

Dick shut his eyes tightly and took in a deep breath, trying to ease his mind a little bit.
"It's okay. Everything is okay. No big deal, relax." Dick told himself.

Just as he was just calming down, he heard the distant sound of the bell ringing, signalling someone's entrance or departure from the diner. What Dick didn't know is that who entered was Jason's best friend Roy. 

Suddenly something was banged down against the table, startling Dick from his thoughts. His wide eyes looked up at the red headed figure who was smiling widely. He watched as the guy yanked a chair away from another table and brought it over towards them.

"Hey!" he shouted and glanced over at Dick then looked back over at Jason. "Who's this?" he questioned.
"No one" thought Dick as he sat in silence.

Jason was busy looking at the menu, he was unsure as to what he wanted, but he knew that he had to get a milk shake and that Dick had to try it. The milk shakes here at the diner were awesome. 

He was focus on what he wanted to eat that he wasn't paying attention to anything or anyone else in the diner, not even Dick. When suddenly someone slammed their hands down upon their table, making both Dick and Jason to look up at the figure standing before them.

A huge smile came across Jason's face, along with his eyes shinning with happiness.

"Hey!" said Roy loudly and then yanked a chair and brought it over. Jason stood up and they did their hand shake before they both sat down. Jason watched as Roy looked over at Dick then back at him. Roy had his eyebrows crunched up.
"He's probably wondering who Dick is and why the hell I'm with him.'' thought Jason.

Jason never really had any friends before he met Roy and after that, both him and Roy had a tiny circle of people they talked too. 
In the main circle was himself, Roy, Roy's girlfriend Jade, Jade's younger sister Artemis, Artemis's boyfriend Wally.

"Who's this?'' asked Roy and Jason looked over at Dick. He could tell that Dick didn't seem to be okay. He seemed low, upset and off.

A tiny smile came upon his face as he remembered seeing Dick at the piano. The brightness within his beautiful eyes. 

"This is Dick. He's new at school and...'' said Jason but didn't know how to finish his sentence. Jason saw Roy send him a look and then saw him smile a bit before turning to face Dick.

Roy held his hand out towards Dick and watched as Dick slowly raised his eyes from off of the floor towards Roy and his hand.

"I'm Roy. I'm Jay Jay's best friend and is way cooler than he is'' said Roy who smirked over at Jason. Dick smiled a bit, casting his blue eyes over at Jason who friendly slapped Roy's arm, yelling at him, saying that he was way cooler than he was. That he was the best. 

Dick felt a bit sad seeing these two as great friends and hoped that one day that he would have a connection with someone like that.

Maybe even with....
