Angelic

[angelic
/anˈdʒɛlɪk/
adjective
relating to angels.
"the angelic hosts"]

Jay had never believed in the existence of such creatures as angels until he had first laid his eyes on her.

It was as if it happened yesterday that Kai had mentioned he had a sister to save.

"We're saving a girl? Is she hot?"

"Jay..."

"What? I'm just tryna know what we're getting ourselves into!... Does she like blue?"

"Back off!"

He never needed to know her name to know he was already interested in her.

She was Kai's sister, that was all he needed to know.

However, the first time he had actually seen her, the cogs in his head had stopped spinning as the only thing he could focus on was her.

She was absolutely gorgeous. She was the first girl he had set his eyes on, who he couldn't avert his eyes from again.

Her pitch black bob with bangs covering her forehead, her cherry colored lips, her beautiful brown eyes. Everything about her seemed perfect.

They say the first impression is what will stick in a person's head. And Jay was a person to believe in that, however there was a little problem...

Cole. Or Cole's scythe, to be more exact.

Jay had stuttered, desperately trying to get coherent sentences out. Yet only gibberish seemed to get out of his mouth, instantly getting on the Blue Ninja's nerves.

Luckily Zane had jumped in and saved him, asking the beautiful girl if she liked the color blue.

Now in retrospect, he actually laughed at himself because of that. His first ever question to her was if she liked blue. Not her name, not her age, not if she already had a boyfriend.

Yes, she was thirteen at the time, but you never know about the kids these days.

But her voice, oh her sweet voice. It was like music to his ears when he had first heard her speak.

"It's my favorite color."

Those four words were what made his heart do jumping jacks. They already had one thing in common. This was all he needed.

Of course their moment had to last for like five seconds before Kai had interrupted them and he had to leave her again to go on a mission.

But once he had come back to Ninjago from the Underworld, he had been very curious about what their blacksmith's shop looked like. Once Kai had mentioned they owned that place and worked as blacksmiths, Jay was confused and somehow proud at the same time. But he was also sad to hear they had to grow up this early to make a living for themselves.

Once they had arrived in Ignacia on their breathtaking dragons, Jay could see that girl rushing outside to greet her brother. And after Kai had hugged his sister, as it seemed from his angle, Jay had immediately hopped down and run up to the girl.

And when he had seen her running up to him, his heart definitely did some things he had never felt before. When he had first wrapped his arms around her shoulders, he felt extreme happiness rise up inside of him. Her smell was exotic, he had never smelled anything like that. He could barely even describe it, it was like every one of his favorite smells combined.

After she had finally told him her name, his expectations were absolutely smashed. He had expected something cute and something that suited her appearance, and Nya was exactly what fit.

Once Kai and Nya had moved into the monastery, Jay was absolutely ecstatic.

And after only a few days of living together with her, he had admitted to himself that he had officially developed a crush on her.

After only a few weeks of living together with her, he had realized his crush on her was more than just a crush.

He needed her. He needed to be with her 24/7. He never wanted something bad happening to her. He wanted to protect her with his own life. He only wanted what was best for her.

And he had never felt those things for anyone other than his own parents before.

Nya had always been special to him.

When he had finally gathered his courage to ask her out, his heart had skipped multiple beats after hearing her sweet voice agreeing.

"Hey, uhh, Nya? I'm sorry. The reason I was- You know- I went to Kai because- Look, what I'm trying to say is-"

"I know, it's just a cruel joke. I should be fine. Please, go fight snakes."

"No, no, no. I was trying to impress you. Before Sensei left, he said our heart was the key to unlocking our true potential."

"Impress... me? But I look so-"

"Fantastic. Look, maybe, if you'll let me, I can take you to some big fancy restaurant. You don't, uh, you don't have to... if you don't want to."

"You mean like a... date?"

"Um, yeah?"

"Sure! I'd love to! But I have to go now before the perfume toxins enter my bloodstream and I go into shock. See you tonight!"

And when he had actually seen her that night, he felt like he had won the lottery. Multiple times. She was absolutely gorgeous in her red, backless dress.

The fact that she had made herself that fancy just to go out with him, had made him feel even happier than he had already been.

"Though I hate thisss Samurai, where isss he when you actually need him? Samurai! Help! Help! Samurai!"

"Jay, I don't think the Samurai is coming."

"Why?"

"I know this might not be the best time, but I haven't been totally honest either."

"What isss it?"

"I... I'm the Samurai!"

"You're the Samurai?!"

When I tell you he was shocked, that would be an understatement.

Nya had always been the type of girl to claim she was able to protect herself and be as independent as possible. And Jay had never doubted that, he was just being extra protective of her without really showing her.

Yet when he had found out about her being the mysterious Samurai who had managed to fight snakes, and kick the guys' butts, he realized she never needed his protection.

That never meant he would stop to protect her and worry about her, though.

But her being able to kick some butts on her own made her even hotter than she already was.

And after she had agreed on being his official girlfriend, his heart had also officially left his chest. And their first kiss was just magical, it was everything he had imagined.

Once they were broken up, he had realized how much he had dependent on her being with him. Her absence had made his everything ache.

No matter how much he had tried to give her up, his heart was against it. It had told him to fight for her, even if it was against his best friend.

Now in retrospect, that was probably one of his stupidest actions.

Although the alternate timeline had officially never happened, for Jay and Nya it was still vividly there.

"That's it? That's all that's left? That isn't big enough for both of us!"

"But it is big enough for you! Nya, take the poison. I promised you I was gonna protect you, and I'm a man of my word."

"Oh, Jay, this is the reason..."

"The reason for what?"

"The reason you're the only one I've ever let into my heart. I don't know how to ever tell you this, but even before you saw a glimpse into our future, I saw it too. The first time I met you."

"You did?... Hurry, Nya, the flame is dying out!"

"But if I'm ever going to have a say in our future, it's me who has to protect you, because it's you who has the wish!"

"What are you doing?"

"I'm speaking up for my future, and it's never felt better. Save me, Jay Walker. There's gonna be a wedding, and I want you to do something about it!"

Jay had been both shocked, and relieved at the same time while hearing her talk about her having a liking in him. She had told him she let him, and only him, into her heart.

It was clear for him to admit she was still in his heart, but the more they had been apart, the more he had doubted her love towards him.

And hearing her talk about their future was all he had needed to hear to push those doubts away.

Once he had seen her in that wedding dress, her beauty blew him away. He had imagined their wedding quite a few times, but actually seeing her in a white dress was enough for him to let out tears of joy.

However, she had still been wearing that dress for another man. A man both of them despised to the core. And he had to stop that.

After realizing he had been too late to stop the wedding, his heart had shattered into tiny bits and pieces.

And after holding her in his arms as she was slowly fading into eternal sleep, he had reached his limit.

"Guess it's true... the greatest love stories... do always end in... tragedy."

Her last breath still haunted him in his dreams to this day.

"I wish you had taken my hand... and no one ever found that teapot in the first place."

His words were genuine as his hands had been gripping her lifeless body closer to his own shaking one. Tears had been dripping down his face as he was holding onto his dead love.

"I remember. I remember it all."

"Haha, I do too. But how?"

"Who cares?"

Jay could never forget about the first kiss they had shared after a far too long time of being broken up. That kiss had been what had officially declared them as a couple again. And thanks to Dareth, everyone in Ninjago had found out.

And being able to call her his own girl again had made him happy once again. No more worrying, no more hurting, no more stalking.

She was his again.

After being stranded in the realm of Oni and Dragons, Jay had been more than worried about his girlfriend. He hadn't been certain if he would ever be able to be reunited with her again, and that was what had made him lose his mind.

Literally. We all know what he had done with a piece of wood.

Once he had returned to Ninjago, however, his heart had dropped at the sight of his home realm. And his concerns went haywire.

"Our city..."

"What's left of it."

"Let's just hope our friends are okay."

"You're coming in loud and clear, brother!"

"Nya? Oh, you're alright!"

"Uh, I don't know about that. But we could use a little help."

After having her finally back in his arms again, Jay had looked at the powerful warrior that was his girlfriend. She had looked exhausted, yet she was still as beautiful as ever.

They were together again, and he hadn't been too keen on losing her that easily again. Thus why he was ready to drop the question that had been bothering him for a long while.

"Nya, I have to ask you something important."

"What? Now?"

"Yes, now!"

"Nya, you make me so happy every day. When we're not together, it feels like part of me is missing. Will you be my Yang?"

"Now you're asking?!"

"We seriously need to talk about your sense of timing, Jay!"

"There may not be another time."

"Yes! Of course! Yes, yes, yes!"

His heart and mind were finally at peace. The girl of his dreams was now officially his Yang, and he was now officially her Yin. After everything that had happened to them in the past, whether it'd be Cole, an evil djinn, or constantly being torn apart. They had managed to overcome every obstacle together.

(Back in the present, yet still in past writing form, you know what I mean)

Jay was always ready to compliment his girlfriend in any way possible. He always told her she was gorgeous, beautiful, funny, etc., which was something she was always denying immediately. He hated whenever she did that, however he couldn't really do anything about it other than insisting on the honesty in his words.

Now that the Ninja team needed some more money to get very expensive spare parts for new mechs, they found themselves lucky when they were offered to shoot a commercial in exchange for a big sum of money.

However, there was one little catch; it was a commercial which only Nya and Jay were told to participate in, which wasn't really something bad for the others.

But it was a perfume commercial.

After having finally convinced the directors to change the perfume to plain water, they eventually agreed.

Now they were on set. Well, he was on set.

The two haven't been told what their planned costumes were from the beginning on, so Jay was left to wonder why he was in white pants and a white shirt which was unbuttoned, leaving his upper body basically nude.

He did see some female crew members giving him hearty eyes while looking at his toned chest and six pack. And even though he liked being complimented, he still felt uncomfortable in some way.

Which left him to wonder what they gave Nya to wear.

But she hadn't come out of her dressing room yet, so he was waiting on set.

The others were there as well, laughing at how uncharacteristically Jay was looking. Jay didn't really mind, though, he didn't like his look, himself.

"Miss Smith, are you ready to enter the set?" A guy spoke through the loud speakers.

"I hate all of you!" Nya's voice came from behind the main doors.

"That is understandable. Please walk inside in five, four, three, two, one..."

The doors opened, and when Jay set his eyes on her, his jaw dropped to the floor.

Nya was wearing a plain white dress which almost reached down to her knees and her cleavage was in the shape of a heart. Her hair was down and falling just below her collarbones. She was wearing white high heels which didn't really make her any taller.

But what made her stand out the most were the gigantic, white feathered wings that were attached to her back.

Jay slowly walked up to her and she cat walked over to him. When they met halfway through the way, he held her by her waist and looked deeply into her eyes, his mouth constantly opening and closing.

Then he chuckled once he regained his voice. "And here you've always tried to tell me you weren't an angel." He put a strand of her hair behind her ear and smiled. "You're absolutely gorgeous. My angel."

Then he connected his lips with hers in a sweet kiss.

To Jay, his angel was standing right in front of him.

"Would you please get into your positions, we have a commercial to shoot!"
