Jaune is hurriedly putting on his armor. Olivia has forbidden any students from going into the forest right now. A monstrous shriek is heard. He quickly mounts Blast, and they take off, soaring as fast possible through the skies. He sees the wave of dark energy, and he dives towards the epicenter. Only to be met with a flurry of dart like spikes. Blast does a barrel roll, avoiding them. He then unleashes a Savage Fireball, causing an explosion and a roar of pain.

Blast lands and they see their opponent.h

The Nargacuga snarls, before roaring.

It's then charges the two. Blast dodges, but Jaune ranks the hit with his Charge Blade, before doing an upwards slash and slicing across the Nargacuga's nose. With a vicious snarl, it swipes at him, only for Jaune to block, but he is sent skidding backwards. A fire ball explodes against the Nargacuga's back, causing it to roar in pain.

It turns around, only to get two claw slashes across its face, causing big it to roar in agony. It's mouth starts to foam with purple liquid. With a rage filled roar, it enters it's enraged state, the malefic aura increasing by tenfold.

It charges at Jaune, who uses his one of his charged phials to use his energy release attack. The massive energy sword forms, and he slashes at the Nargacuga's chest, causing it for shriek in agony. But it suddenly whips its tail around and shoots several spikes towards Jaune. Most bounce off, but one lucky one stabs into his biceps. He grunts in pain. He rips out the spike, and contained fighting.

News Bullhead

"This is Lisa Lavender! Reporting live for the Vale News. Currently, we are hovering above what seems to be a large crystal. If you can tell by the roars and explosions, something is fighting below us."

The camera zooms in on the battle.

"It appears to be a young man in armor fighting against a large black beast surrounded by a strange purple mist. A smaller red beast is aiding the young huntsman. It appears the red beast has a saddle, so perhaps he's the warriors mount?"

The Nargacuga enters its Enraged state.

"Oh my goodness! The monster seems to have powered up! And - oh my goodness!"

The camera shakes a bit as the energy blade slashes the Nargacuga, and they watch as one of the spikes hits it's target. But Jaune pulls it out and tossed it aside. He then seems to call out to Blast, who flies towards him. Jaune jumps into the air and lands on his back. They circle the Nargacuga, before Jaune's Kinship Storms starts to glow.

"The strange amiable on the Hunter arm is beginning to glow! What's happening down there?"

Back to Jaune

"Let's go, Blast!"

Blast roars in agreement. He drives towards the Nargacuga. It leaps at them then ton knocking them out of the sky. But Blast suddenly pulls up, and his eye starts to glow as they ascend.

They pass through a cloud, and Blast tucks into a ball, before they lounge downwards, Blast's right talon outstretched. They slam into the Nargacuga, which cause a massive explosion and a massive pillar of fire.

They then turn to the inferno and watch as the flames dissipate.

There, in a large smoldering crater, was the Nargacuga. It was no longer suffering due to the Blight, and now was just lying there, breathing it's last ragged breaths. Jaune slides down the rim of the crater, and gently puts his hand on its side. A small series of small mewling, and he sees a small trio of small baby Nargacuga's rolling down the rim of the crater.

They peep as they snuggle against their dying mother, small tear welling up in their eyes. The Nargacuga growls softly. The babies turn to Jaune, before they scamper to his feet and pile up there. He picks them up. Holding them in one arm, he gently placed his hand in the mother Nargacuga's nose. It growls softly, as if in thanks, before it's eyes close. Jaune stands up, wiping tears form his eyes.

He then puts the babies into a small pouch in Blast's saddle bag. Jaune then takes out a small knife and carved a few pieces off the beast. He then signals to Blast as he walks to his side. Blast inhales, before unleashing three Savage Firballs, igniting the corpse of the Nargacuga. He then fires another fire ball into the air, as if he was saluting his strongest opponent so far. With that, Jaune mounts Blast and they take off, flying slowly back towards the crystal, passing the Bullhead. He nods, before continuing his flight path. Lisa has tears in her eyes. She speaks quietly in a shaky voice.

"W-w-well. That concludes this incredible battle, and a sad farewell to a mother. This is Liza Lavender, Vale News."

     Jaune lands in front of the crystal. He then places his Kinships Stone against it, and with a beautiful shower of blue and white light, the stone returns to it's original blue color. He then mounts Blast again, and takes off, soaring back to Beacon.

Salem's Castle
Salem POV

       That aura... it can't be. Lute? How? No one could channel enough power into a Kinship attack like that. Lute. His soft touch and Ratha's warm breath in the middle of winter were amazing.

     The boy... Jaune... he is indeed worthy of defeating the Black Blight. Perhaps... he can cure me of this... affliction.
