as avocato, derrick, quinn, jaune, his team and team RWBY arrived at the bottom of the stairs, they see little cato with blank, glowing eyes and also hovering above the floor as he said

little cato: papa.

avocato: little cato.

he said as gary showed up and said

gary: oh, not to kill the reunion vibe, but there's something mega not right with your boy.

nora: i have to agree.

ren nodded to nora at agreeing with her

avocato: it's my fault, he's angry with me.

jaune: avocato, it's not your fault, it's the lord commander's.

gary: exactly, but he's got a wierd way of showing his anger in the fact that he's HOVERING off the ground!!!

ruby; EEP!!

she shrieked as she jumped on her half sister's arms

nora: (screams) hold me, ren.

derrick: avocato, gary does have a point.

quinn: yeah, he literally is hovering.

jaune: she's right.

gary: i know i do.

he said as little cato moved forward to gary as he shrieked

gary: nice to meet you, and your name is?

little cato: death is sweeter than life.

he said in a creepy way, which made everyone quiet until gary said

gary: i don't know why more kids are named ''death is sweeter than life''. fine boy you have here, avocato.

jaune: really gary?

avocato: things are going to get real, now go everyone.

yang: (red eyes) why would you say that, we're trying to help.

avocato: what do you even know about me, everyone?

gary: i know for a guy....

derrick: who says he's not a cat, you sure do love milk.

jaune: like ruby here.

ruby: HEY!!!!

avocato: guys, i hate the lord commander for a reason........i used to be his 2nd in command.

everyone: WHAT!!!!!!!!??????

avocato: that's right,

(flashback)

avocato: i was a master of death, i did anything the lord commander asked of me. he above all else demanded loyalty, and one day he ordered all of his generals to prove their allegiance to him by killing their firstborn.

generals: for eternity, for the lord commander.

they all said as they fire at their children with the lord commander smiling like a crazed maniac, like the fun-sized devil he is as he said

lord commander: do it avocato and become my first. do it.

he said as past avocato was about to fire at past little cato, but couldn't. so instead he fired at the troopers holding his son as little cato was running away, but was caught by vines and avocato was being held down by the vines as the lord commander spoke up

lord commander: if i sense doubt in you, ever again, remember. i own your son, and now...i own you.

he said

(end flashback)

as the flashback ended, everyone was glaring at him while ruby was also glaring at avocato, but has tears forming in her eyes as gary said

gary: how did you end up with that little tic tac cosmic butthead like that in the first place?

avocato: by asking the question i didn't want to hear the answers to.

jaune: what the hell does that even mean, avocato?

avocato: i made a lot of mistakes, but do all of you still want anything to do with me?

jaune: hey, all of us are broken like i was...

gary; but i promised you to get your son back...

phyrra: and until we get him back....

nora: we gor your back...

gary: its back to back, for life.

everyone (except avocato): yeah!!!!

little cato: ready, papa?

he said while floating and doing a ''come on'' gesture with his hands

avocato: ready, son.

he said as the group armed their weapons and began to follow him as garu said

gary; you know that the lord commander's gonna be behind this door, right?

he asked as when they went through the door, the lord commander, along with adam, said

lord commander: surprise.

he said as gary started to laugh a bit and say

gary: surprise? you gotta be kidding.

avocato: dude, no one's surprised.

adam: silence peasant.

lord commander: i spent many hours of my day planning this. everyone in the entire prison was murdered for this surprise.

derrick: well, we don't know what to tell ya dude.

adam & lord commander: SILENCE!!!!!!

they yelled as the lord commander levitated gary, quinn and derrick up high as he said

lord commander: i have more surprises for you, the gary.

gary: Just....gary.

lord commander: adam, attack the huntsmen, but keep blake alive for your...business with her.

adam: with pleasure, my lord.

he said as he unsheathed his sword and started to attack teams RWBY and JNPR

lord commander: as for your father...kill him.

he said as the possessed little cato attacked avocato by tackling him through a wall as gary said

gary; get on with it you fun-sized devil.

lord commander: we all know you won't tell me where mooncake is, so i think it's time i find him myself.

he said as he used his powers to look into gary's head, and while he's distracted, quinn and derrick looked at each other and activated their distress beacons to the arc's light fleet in remnant

while that's happening, we see avocato and his son fighting each other as avocato said

avocato: little cato?

little cato: little cato no longer controls this body.

he said as he attacked his dad as he said

avocato: i know you're in there, son.

little cato: wrong.

he said as he cut avocato and kicked him through a wall that led outside of the prison, which is raining and started strangling avocato as he said

avocato; i've been a terrible father (coughs) the lord commander ruined me and i lost you. please son, don't let him ruin you.

he said

little cato: what if it's too late?

avocato: it's not, you're still right here.

he said as he started hugging his son, trying to snap him out of the lord commander's control, which succeeded as he said

little cato: dad?

he said as he punched him, but to make sure that he's real as he said

little cato: what the heck took you so long!?

he said with a smile as avocato chuckled a bit and said

avocato: now let's go help my new friends, your new crush and get the hell out of here.

little cato: ok, wait new crush?

avocato: long story, but you'll meet her once she meets you.

little cato: ok.

he said as the two ventrexians went back inside to help teams RWBY and JNPR with their ''adam'' problem as the screen went dark
