I was abruptly awoken by loud screams.

"No! Please! Don't hurt him!"

My eyes widened and I sat up looking beside me to see Jason thrashing.

"Baby," I said shaking him.

"Jase, baby you're okay," I whispered to him.

I wrapped him in my arms as he thrashed around, tears down his face.

"Jason, c'mon baby, come back to me, you're safe with me," I continued whispering.

He stopped thrashing but still let out painful screams.

I wanted to cry but I had to be strong for him.

It's only been two weeks since Jason and Julian came home but Jason has had trauma.

I find myself waking up to Jason's cries of pain and hits to my side.

It pains me so much. Jason has become so vulnerable. There are times where I go to touch him but he jumps and moves away until he realises it's only me.

They did so much damage to him not only physically but mentally. Can't imagine the pain he went through now he's still suffering.

"Baby, please, c'mon back to me, I'm right here," I whispered gently caressing his cheek softly.

His eyes opened, his eyes showed so much fear. And I know it was from his dreams.

"J-Justin," He stuttered.

"I'm here," I whispered holding him tight.

"Th-they were," He said, tears in his eyes again.

"I know baby, you're safe with me, no one is ever going to touch you," I said making a promise. I wiped his tears.

Every night, it was the same dream just worse.

"Wanna talk about it?" I asked.

He shook his head furiously. "It's okay baby, we won't talk about it til you're ready,"

"Thank you," He said before cuddling into my side.

A yawn escaped my lips.

"Ja-jay?" He said.

"Hmm?" I hummed.

"I'm s-sorry," He whispered quietly squeezing me.

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "What's for?"

"That you have to go through this, I wake you up every single night and..and I jump when you go to touch me... And.." He trailed.

"No baby, it's not your fault, I would gladly wake up in the middle of the night for the rest of my life just to tell you, you're safe and no one is going to hurt you," I whispered, rubbing his back.

"I know but I'm still sorry,"

"It's okay baby, I'm here for you, beside you through everything and every obstacle, that's what our vows said right?" I said. He nodded and sighed.

"Get some rest baby, I'm right here," I said when I saw his eyes drooping.

"But... What if it happens again?" He asked scared.

"I'll be right here," I assured.

He nodded and closed his eyes.

"Can you sing me to sleep?"

"Any suggestions?"

"Hmm uhm can you do something Boys II Men?" He asked cutely. Yes, cutely.

"Any?"

"Yeah.. Wait can you sing 'End Of The Road'? I love your vocals when you sing that one," He said.

I nodded.

But I was met with soft snores.

I looked down to see he was fast asleep.

"Goodnight baby," I whispered kissing his temple.

Hopefully he can sleep for the rest of the night.
