Sexy (Pan)

My feet moved quietly through the crunchy ground as I stalked the deer, trying not to alert it to my presence. I was in the woods again. Hunting.

At least I wasn't in trouble with Pan this time. It always seemed that I was doing something, but I'd been avoiding him to avoid trouble, so I was good. For now. I might get in trouble later for avoiding him.

I saw the deer again and I completely silenced my footfalls. I stepped without making a sound, something that came to me very easily, being a hunter before I came to NeverLand. I pulled back the bow string and breathed out slowly. I waited for the perfect shot, not rushing myself. Just as I was about to shoot, the deer's head whipped up to something above me. I whirled around, knowing something was there. Never doubt an animal's instincts. Yet again I was assured that animal instincts were perfectly on point. Pan hovered above me, watching me carefully. I'd let the arrow fly the second I'd turn around and my eyes went wide. Pan caught it. He landed next to me. "S-sorry," I mumbled. "I didn't realize it was you. Otherwise-" I paused, realizing something. "Why were you following me?"

Instead of answering, Pan looked at the arrow. "Your aim is impressive," he noted.

Smug, I smirked. "I'm your best hunter, Pan. Of course my aim is impressive."

Amused as always, he chuckled. "Hm. That so?"

Playing it off, I shrugged over casually. "Want to do the trials again? Have everyone shoot? I think being beat one time is enough for your poor boys. I mean, beating even Felix in shooting was bad enough, but when I came only second in knife throwing and then first in sneaking, I mean, do you want to do that to your boys again?" I asked, making a face.

Pan glared at me. "Your deer's gone," he said lowly.

I turned and grunted. When I saw he was right, I huffed. "Thanks," I grumbled, turning back to him with a glare.

His eyes twinkled. "You're welcome."

My glare increased. "That was sarcasm, Pan. You use it a lot. You must be well acquainted with it," I teased, my expression softening as he chuckled.

This back and forth banter between me and Pan was a regular thing. I was separate from the Lost Boys. I sometimes came over at Pan's request to take part in bonfires or to beat the boys in a competition but I was not one of Pan's "merry men." I was not a Lost Girl. Well, I was, but not in the same way that Pan's boys were Lost Boys. I was not Pan's girl. I was simply me. A separate party.

Of course, Pan hated it.

I had a similar connection to the island that Pan did. I was here before Felix, just after Pan himself. Well, after Pan. I don't know how long he'd been here before I came. I'd been Pan's longest company. Not longest friends, because we weren't friends, but I knew quite a bit about him. I knew nothing about how he came to be here or his past before NeverLand, but I knew everything else. Pan constantly tried to get me to join his Lost Boys, but I told him they wouldn't be Lost Boys if there was a girl. That usually seemed to get Pan off the topic.

Quietly I sighed and held my hand out for the arrow still held in his hand. Pan handed it over and I put it away. "Do you need something?" I asked rather exasperatedly.

Playing it off, Pan shrugged. "Simply keeping tabs on the Island's Lost Girl," he offered nonchalantly.

Not sure if I really believed him, I rose an eyebrow. "Is that so?"

We seemed to call each other that. Pan was the island's Lost Boy and I its Lost Girl. The King and Queen of NeverLand. The boys had even followed orders from me once when Pan had gone missing about a week. They'd adopted me as a leader until he'd come back. If Pan didn't know the answer or they needed me, I was there.

Pan and I had a... Special relationship. We flirted and teased but nothing more. Pan was impervious to Love and I didn't find him capable of having a relationship. I wasn't old enough to care about Love myself. He looked about nineteen and I was seventeen when I'd come to NeverLand. The thing was, there was no room for romance on the island. It was all fun and games. So while we played around flirting, there was nothing after that. Just the playing.

Despite Pan and I not dating, the boys looked at me more as a commander or a mother than a sexual interest, so either they kept away because they weren't interested or because Pan seemed to be bothered when they did flirt with me. Which was amusing when it did happen.

"I'm not allowed to check up on you?" Pan asked, smirking confidently.

I refocused on him, putting my arrow back in its holder before folding my arms over my chest. Scoffing lightly, I rolled my eyes. "You're think you're so sexy, don't you?" I mumbled, raising an eyebrow of my own.

He bit his lip, making that (I won't lie) sexy expression I'd come to adore. "I simply-"

Unable to stand it, I laughed, cutting him off. "Don't even finish that." There was a pang in my chest and Pan turned away abruptly. Something was happening on the island. He looked back at me and there was complete seriousness on his face. "Go," I said, smiling. I didn't like when he left. Being alone was no fun. But I knew that I couldn't be in his little group, so alone it was.

Pan took off. Bitting back the urge to follow, I watched him disappear into the distance. There was another pang and I felt a tad nauseous and my eyes widened as I bit my lip, suddenly wanting to follow him and see what was going on that was big enough for the island to reach out to both of us like this.

GO! It seemed to scream at me. PLEASE!

Screw it. I'm going.

Crouching a second to touch the sound, I took a quiet breath in before I pushed off. Instantly I was I racing through the woods. While Pan was flying through the air like a bird, I was speeding across the Earth like a cheetah. It was interesting how our powers evened out like that.

I got to the camp to see them fighting. Pan had landed already and was yelling at his boys. That's when I smelled it. The plants, burning. There wasn't a fire, no. There was someone using plants to put a spell under the boys.

Pirates.

A while back they'd learned how to burn some plants to have an effect on the boys. They used the boys as a distraction, or put them to sleep or whatever. We still hadn't had the chance to wipe their memory, but I think we'd get our chance today.

"Peter!" I yelled. Pan immediately looked at me; I only used that name in a very serious situation. "Hook!" I used Pan when I was angry or playful. He knew it was serious when I called him Peter. He looked around right as the Pirates rushed into the clearing. The boys were taken down immediately, tied up and thrown to the side.

I lost Pan in the crowd, surrounded by pirates. I fought my way and easily took down most of them. I looked over to see that Pan and I were both two-to-one, and I smirked. I went to get back to fighting when someone tripped me. I landed face first. I felt a hand grab my hair by the roots, yanking me to my feet. I screamed out.

"STOP!" Hook yelled. I felt a point press to my throat and I froze. Peter turned to look at me and everything else froze too. "DROP YOUR WEAPON!" He yelled at Pan. I shook my head urgently but the pirate's hook pressed harder to my throat, forcing me to stop moving or get cut. Pan paused and I was sure he wouldn't care enough to drop it. But then he did. My eyes went wide and Hook laughed triumphantly. "I knew you were his weakness," Hook whispered in my ear.

That's when I saw Pan wink at me. I smirked. He had a plan. "Put the girl down, Hook," Pan commanded, putting his hands up.

Hook laughed mockingly. "And give away my leverage? Never!" he spat.

Holding back a scoff, I rolled my eyes. I pressed back into Hook, getting my throat away from the weapon and stepped on Hook's foot. Immediately my speed kicked in and everything started moving in slow motion. I whipped my head to bite Hook's wrist and he ripped his arm away, successfully removing the hook from hurting me. As he stumbled back, I swiped my foot to turn, crouching to grab the extra blade I kept in my belt, ending with me pinning Hook, blade to his throat. Time sped up again.

Hook put his hands in the air and I heard Pan use the same mocking laugh Hook had beforehand behind me. "You think she needs me to protect her? She the best hunter here. She can take care of herself, Hook," Pan snapped. I smirked even wider, my teeth showing.

My face was close to Hook as I seethed, "I don't need a sexy boy to save me. The only person who saves me is me," Hook glared at me. "Pan!" I called behind me, not letting my eyes wander from Hook in case he tried anything. "Start wiping their memories of the flowers. That way we have the advantage again. I'll take care of Hook." I smiled at him coldly.

Fear flecked through Hook's eyes as he realized Pan was not the only threat on this island. Pan was not the only demon, as Hook called him. "You're as bad as Pan," Hook spat at me.

"Don't forget it," I smoothly replied, grinning like an animal. I put my palm on his forehead and closed my eyes. I took away the information about the flowers or their existence away, leaving his knowledge about Nightshade and the location of everything. This way, he'll still know the dangers but not how to use them. I held Hook there as Pan did the rest. "Goodbye, Hook," I spat. Then Pan proofed them back to their ship so he wouldn't know where the camp was.

A quiet huff escaped my lips as my eyes looked around and I grinned, proud and calming down after the excitement. I dusted my hands on my shorts, triumphant. I turned back to Pan, folding my arms. "Victorious again, Pan," I congratulated him.

He simply smirked. "You think I'm sexy?" He asked.

My eyes went wide, remembering my comment from earlier. I'd been messing around, but, if I was being honest, yeah, he was. I coughed, trying to slip back into that nonchalant, flirty attitude I always had. "Pan, you forget. That's your job. Distractingly dazzling. Gets all the ladies."

Then I went to walk away. I got out of the camp and a little ways off when I felt a hand wrap around my wrist and spin me around. I went to reach for my dagger but someone snatched my other wrist too. "You never answered my question. Plus, I think you're quite attractive too," Pan whispered seductively in my ear.

I smirked, licking my lips. "I know I'm attractive," I chuckled.

He moved his head, pressing me back into a tree. His lips ghosted my neck and I gasped. "Let me show you... Just how sexy I can get," he whispered. A shiver went down my spine.

There was something that screamed relief after so long wanting Pan to touch me as he did now. It had built up and piled and eventually gotten too much. I missed him when he went, but it was better than the itch I had when he was around that I could never scratch. Pan always seemed to go the casual flirt route so I'd left it alone. But this. I wanted this. I had for a while now. "I'm fine with that," I whispered back.
