Unexpected

“All you did this day is to be busy on your phone! Like, argh! You're not doing your assigned task!” Here we go again, my elder sister is scolding me.

I looked at her boringly and then I put back my attention to my phone.

I heard her footsteps walking away. So great. She keeps on scolding me as if I haven't really done any task at home. Let's see your reaction later. I smirked a little bit and continue to read the story that caught my eyes awhile ago.

I sighed. I thought it could be something that's satisfy me but it's not. Why all the stories I'm reading here in Facebook seems to have the same plot.

I was about to play the movie recommended on our group chat when my elder sister suddenly approaches me and hugged me tight. She looks happy, well I think I know the reason. I pushed her a little bit 'cause I can't breathe.

She noticed it so she loosened the hug. Great.

“I'm sorry for scolding you awhile ago. I went to the kitchen and it was clean, the utensils are fixed. I also checked out the bath—” I cut her words. Is she going to say every detail of our house that I cleaned?

“Yeah. Stop with your observations. Just please cook food for our lunch because I didn't eat breakfast,” I said with an irritated voice.

She was shocked. I just rolled my eyes and played the movie they recommend.

“Okay. Fine, lil sister. What do you want to eat?”

“Anything that satisfies me.” I looked at her and smiled.

She chuckled and said, “Really, huh? Okay then wait for my cooked foods.”

She rushes to our kitchen.

I'm at the middle of the movie when an unknown number is calling me. Who is this? I hesitated to answer the call but I did picked it up.

“Hello,” I said boringly.

“Um. Hi. Have you received your load?” says on the other line. Load? Is this man kidding?

“Load? Did I ask for it?”

I heard him chuckled. “Have you lose your mind? I ask—”

“Justin, is this you? Oh. I'm sorry I didn't recognize your voice and I nearly forgot that I requested a load so you asked for my number!” I said happily. I checked notifications and proceeds to my messages and there it is. A message from SMARTload.

“Great. You recognize me. Sorry for not texting before I call.” Woah. He loaded me 100?!

“Thanks for the 100 peso load. That's high ah. I only asked for 50.”

“Well, share the 50 to your sister.”

“What?!”

I heard him laughed a little. “Just kidding.” I'm glad I have a cousin like this.

“Well, I'm lucky to asked load before her,” I said as I laughed.

He laughed with me. “So, bye for now. I have to do something.”

“Bye.” He ended the call before I could press the end call button.

I didn't expect him to load me for I just know him by accident. He's the son of my father's elder brother, uncle Diego. We're very much close but I just meet him last month. Well, I really don't have much interest in my clan. I don't care who my relatives are.

“Hey, lil sister. Is that Justin?” asked my sister. I didn't notice her coming.

I just nod.

“I can't forget the moment you met him,” she said while laughing. “It's somewhat irritating but fun.”

“I know. That girl don't deserve our cousin, Justin,” I said smirking.

“I heard that they broke up.” I looked at her confused.

“Since when?”

“Since the day you meet Justin.” Ah. I remember. “Have you forgot it, lil sis?”

“Nearly.” I laughed. “She was the one who bumped into me for not looking on her way. I was just standing near that bench then she was going to slap me and blame me for being reckless? Her juice spilled on her clothes.” I paused. 

“Does the slap hurts?”

“My punch hurts more.” I smirked. “After she was laying on the grass, that's the time Justin showed up.”

“I was about to show up also that time but I know you can handle the situation on your own.” My sister really have a trust on me. “Tell me more, I don't know the full story for someone called me that time but I still have my eyes on you.”

“The girl is complaining on Justin and telling him to revenge for her. I chuckled that time. Before Justin could speak up. I saw his school ID and it says Justin P. Agoncillo. Same surname like us, right? So I asked him...

“Justin P. Agoncillo? Is your father's name is Diego Agoncillo?” He's shocked and confused.

“How did you know my father?”

“I am an Agoncillo, of course I know. Your father is the only brother of my father named Chris Agoncillo.” He's amazed.

“So it's you, my beautiful cousin. Hi. Nice to meet you in person.” He smiled and was about to lend his hand but her girlfriend interrupted.

“Once you continue to shake hands with her. We're done.”

“Better,” I said as I shaked hands with Justin.

“My cousin don't deserve a girl like you. So demanding. You even slapped me. We don't need a person like you in our family. Your attitude don't fit in.” I can see the anger in her eyes.

I just walked out of the scene.

While walking away, I heard Justin said that he won't run after her. ”

“You did well that time, lil sis.”

I just nod.

“Wait. Are you done cooking?” I asked and she smiled as a response.

“Yeah. Come on. Let's eat,” she replied as she walks first towards the kitchen, so I just followed.

My eyes widened. Wow. I saw my favorite foods.  I started to taste all of it not minding whatever my sister is saying. I'm really craving for this.

When I feel that I'm full, I looked at my elder sister and smiled.

“Thank you for preparing my favorite foods!” I said as I hug her but loosen the hug immediately and get back to eating again. Well, the food is really tasty.

“I didn't expect you to prepare this huh. It satisfies me.” I smiled gladly.

“You're welcome,” she said.
