“I want to play this game,” Kissy said excitedly to her brother while holding the basketball. They're in their school gymnasium right now.
“You might get tired when you're going to play this, my lil sister,” said Jyle, his brother in a concerned voice.
“But... I wanna try this game. I want to be a varsity of basketball women's in our school next year. Please train me now,” she begged to his brother. She even do the puppy eyes.
Jyle sighed. “Kissy, it's dangerous to join basketball. It's better if you'll join volleyball,” he responded.
“Please brother. Please.” Kissy puts down the ball she's holding then went near her brother.
Jyle look directly at Kissy's eyes. He sighed. “You're really willing, but can you please just let me play alone first?”
Kissy smiled and nodded. “Okay. I'll watch your moves!” she said happily and went to sit in the benches.
Jyle started dribbling the ball. Kissy is so proud of her brother. Jyle started to do the crossover while walking and his ready to shot the ball to the basket. He got two points after shooting.
“Bro! Can you do the slum dunk?” Kissy asked excitedly while clapping her hands but no sounds of clapping. How was that?
Her brother look at her and nodded. “Watch me,” he said as he started dribbling the ball towards the basket and then do the slum dunk.
“Woah!” Kissy was amazed that made her jump in her sit and clap her hands. “That was... Wow! Now brother, can you show me how to shoot in the 3 point lane?”
Her brother dribbles the ball while walking towards the 3 point lane and stopped there. He faced her sister and back to his game. He dribbles the ball 3 times and lift it. With force, he throws the ball. The ball is roaming on the ring.
Jyle and Kissy are focused on the roaming ball. Waiting for it to be shoot. The ball started roaming slowly and then. “Shoot! Yes!” both of them exclaimed.
“That was nearly a minute,” Kissy said and went to the court. She gets the ball and went to the free throw lane. “Watch me brother. I'll try to shot this,” she said with a smile on her face.
“Okay. Do it, my lil sister,” Jyle agrees with a thumbs up.
Kissy dribbles the ball. Lift it up. With a force, the ball flies towards the ring. Then shoot! Jyle clapped. “Woah! That was the third time.”
Jyle stopped clapping. “Wait. Third time? You mean you tried shooting a ball? When?” he asked confused.
“Ah eh. I-I did try during our P.E. class.”
“Okay. So, you really are interested in basketball?” Jyle asked and sighed.
“Yeah,” Kissy responded while nodding.
“Fine. Let's go home now. Mom would probably got worried about you. You usually went home early around 4 o'clock. It's already a quarter to 6,” said Jyle as he puts down his phone and started fixing his things.
Kissy fixed her things too and was ready to move. “Can you teach me more brother?”
They started walking. Jyle is playing his ball. He faced his sister and smiled. “I will. It's Saturday tomorrow and we're free to play in our half court at home.”
Kissy smiled happily. “Yes! Thank you brother!” she said happily as she hugs her brother.
“Kissy! I'm full of sweats. My shirt is wet,” Jyle said.
Kissy loosen the hug and look up to his brother. “I don't care. You still smell fresh brother.” She winks at her brother.
“This kid," he said as he carry her sister with his right arm. “Why can't you gain weight?” he teases his sister.
“Shut up! I have a mass of 46 kilograms. You know!” She chuckled. “Put me down, brother. You might get tired more.”
“It's okay. You're my sister and I'll carry you whenever I want even though you're really heavy.” He chuckled. “Come. I'll carry you on my back,” he commanded.
Kissy has nothing to do but to agree. “I'm blessed I have a brother like you,” she said as she lean hear head on her brother's shoulder.
Jyle just smile and pats his sister's head. “I'm blessed too.”
Later on, Jyle heared her sister snores a little. “She's too tired. I'm worried. She has a weak heart and still want to play basketball.”
They reached home and their mother opens the door for them. Kissy is still asleep. There mother is a little bit worried about Kissy but
Jyle said that she's just resting. Jyle then carry his sister to her room. He laid his sister on her bed. He removes the bag pack of her sister and put it on the side bed. “Hmm. She's really tired. What's in her bag? Never did I open it... But now, I'll find out what's inside.” Jyle look her sister first before opening her bag. “Sorry Kissy. ” After opening Kissy's bag, he noticed her sister's sketch pad. His eyebrows raised. “She's drawing again? Hmm.” He was about to flip the cover of the sketch pad when their mother called him that's why he returned the pad on her sister's bag and went out the room.
“Why, Mom?” Jyle asked as he arrives at their living room.
“What did you do a while ago?” His mother's eyebrows raised.
“Play basketball?”
“You let your sister get tired?!” Her mother raises her voice.
“No Mom. She just try shooting the ball for once and she just cheered me while playing.”
“But... why did you let her do it?!”
He sighed. “Mom, she wants to learn. Let's just support her.”
Her mother has nothing else more to say so she walked out.
Saturday came and now, Kissy and Jyle are enjoying in playing basketball. Jyle taught his sister the basics of how to play basketball.
“Thank you brother. I have a fun day,” Kissy said while they are resting.
Jyle pat her sister's head. “Just promise you won't get so tired the next time you'll play this game.”
Kissy nodded and smile. “I will.”
“By the way, what's in your sketch pad?”
Kissy smiled at his brother and say, “It's for you to find out."
Jyle rushed to her sister's room and looked for the sketch pad.
He was overly joyed after seeing what's in the sketch pad. It's full of drawings about him and his sport.
Later, he saw his sister, Kissy, walking towards him bearing her beautiful and lovely smile. He hugged her. “You really love me, don't you?" Jyle chuckled.
Kissy just hugged him tight.
