As Cold As Ice

“Hey! Frozt!” I called him and there he keeps on reading a magazine. I hate him! He's not giving me attention. What kind of a brother is he? He is my twin.

“Frozt!” I shouted loudly and finally he looked at me with a blank expression. Again.

“What have you done yesterday?!” I angrily asked.

He puts down his magazine and lean on the sofa. “Nothing? What do you mean, Lil sissy?” I love the way he call me lil sissy but not this time. I'm disappointed.

“You talked harsh to Bryant!” I looked at him angrily.

He raised his left eyebrow. I raised mine too. “He doesn't deserve you and you'll never deserve him more,” he said.

“You're wrong! You hurt his feelings, don't you know?! Now, he is avoiding me.” I almost cried saying that.

He sighed and stood up. “You!” He pointed me. “Why can't you understand my point?!” I was shocked with what he asked. He seems so very serious and I hate it.

“How can I understand you? You're always giving me blank expressions most of the time! What are you trying to say?!” I hate his attitude. For real! He is as cold as ice. He doesn't care what will happen after he said something that's not good to others.

He went near me and lean closely as he looked at me straight in the eye. “Can't you really understand? Lil sissy, you don't need a boy like him. He's just like me but more to that.” He smirk. What does he mean? Bryant is not cold as him. How could he say that? I looked at him confused.

“He's ignoring you right? Well, if he really does love you then he shouldn't be avoiding you. I talked harsh to him to test if he is good for you. I told him the things that people talk about him. For sure you know those things and boom! It's real. Now tell me, am I cold as him? He doesn't care about what you feel for him, Lil sissy. Wake up! He doesn't love you nor will love you.” How could he say that? Bryant love me. I can feel it.

“How sure are you with those things? He love me. I can feel it.”

He laughed and went beside me. “Maybe he do things that you want to experience but just for fame. We're like a celebrity in school, remember? He just want to be noticed. Well, great I have a chance talking to him yesterday.” He smiled. I think he's right.

“You're right, Bro. Why haven't I noticed it earlier? I've been fooled.”

He raised his eyebrows again and sighed.

“Some other girls like him and even gave him gifts but he just don't care about those. He always uses me as a reason to hurt other girls feelings.” I can see now, my brother is different. He may not show emotion but deep inside he cares, specially to me. However, he doesn't really care about people outside our circle.

“See? Well, by the way. I don't want to talk to the girl who's waiting outside our gate. Don't let her in.” I rolled my eyes. He is pertaining to his ex. They broke up for the girl hates my

brother's attitude and now he is running after my twin. She will not succeed for sure.

I went out to talk to my twin's ex. “Hello!” I greeted her with a smile. She smiled back. A forced smile.

“Is Frozt—”

“He's inside but doesn't want to talk to you. Never again even I, I just came out to tell you this.” I smiled widely and turn my back.

“Damn! You both are cold as ice! I waited here for hours even if the weather is hot!” Is she angry? I turned my back again and looked at her. Raised my right eyebrow and clap.

“Amazing talent! I, we, don't care if you waited here. Who told you to?”

Her faced turns red because of anger. “Soon you'll melt! Damn you twins!” Melt? That's funny huh. We're not ice, well we seem to be. I smirked.

“Thanks for wishing for it.” I smiled and laughed. “Maybe soon.” I turned my back again and enter the gate. I told the guards to close it.

“I hate you!” she exclaimed. I just continue walking.

“What did you tell her?” asked my brother.

“Nothing much. Well, I think I'm like you.”

He chuckled. “Of course you are. We're twins, aren't we?” And now he's trying to make fun of me.

“Not literally. I mean the attitude but not much.” I chuckled. He chuckled with me.

“Whatever.” I just crossed my arms. Well, we're really twins but not much.

He is more cold as ice than me. Anyway, he really cares for me and I love him for that. He jumped towards me and pinched my nose.

"That hurts!” He just looked away after he smirked at me.
