"They have him," RM announced to the people gathered around the large table. Their faces were as grave as their leader's voice, waiting for the latter to go on.

RM briefly glanced at the two empty seats which were side by side. He almost let out a pained sigh but held himself. An agent should never show his true emotions so easily, especially not in a meeting.

"We suspect that they're keeping him in their headquarters since his identity has been revealed anyway," said RM.

"Are we going to save him?" asked one of the agents around the table.

The question might appear stupid but it wasn't. Undercover agents whose identities had been uncovered were usually abandoned. It was a risk for the agency to rescue them, so those agents were left to rot in their kidnappers' cells.

It was cruel, really. So many of these agents would put their own lives on the line, would take on the most perilous missions, would dedicate their whole lives to this agency, yet they were so easily abandoned when they needed help the most. But that was how it has always been.

"Yes," replied RM. "In fact, Suga has already begun tracking the location and finding details about the building and J-hope and I have been devising a plan to-"

The agent from earlier, Kai, slammed his palms on the table, standing up. He looked furious, his eyes blazing, nostrils flaring. "What? Are we just going to put the agency in danger and save him just because he's Kim's-"

The door opened abruptly, interrupting the man's words. "S-sorry, I'm late," panted the silver-haired boy who had just entered. He was a mess; clothes tattered, hair disheveled, face covered in dirt. But he somehow still looked handsome. "What did I miss?"

He casually walked in and went to take his seat, not sensing the tension in the air. Or even if he did, he paid no mind to it.

RM sighed. "V, could you be on time for once?" he asked.

"Sorry, not my fault. The mission took longer than expected," replied the young agent.

"Didn't it end two hours ago?" RM queried, raising an eyebrow.

V scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "Well... let's just say things got a little complicated because I didn't totally follow the plan and Baekjun's men came after me. Had to fight them off and all. Was fun but took some time," he explained.

"How many times do I have to tell you to follow the procedures? There's a reason we have them! To avoid unnecessary troubles!" scolded the leader.

"Ok, ok, chill, I'm fine," said V and retrieving a pen drive from his pocket, he added, "plus I got the files."

RM sighed but nonetheless let it go. It was rather useless arguing about such things with V. He always did things his way but at least he was getting the job done somewhat properly.

Before RM could go on, Kai spoke, a tone of malice lacing his voice, "we were just talking about you, Kim. Your little boy got captured and we were discussing whether we should save him or not."

V's eyebrows furrowed, glancing to his side, seeing the seat empty. His frown deepened. "Nam- RM, we have to rescue him!" he stated, clearly panicked, pushing his chair back, standing up and looking like he was about to depart from the agency to go look for the boy himself.

"Yes, we will, V," reassured the leader.

"Why?" protested Kai, voice rising with each word until he was practically shouting. "Why should we save him just because of Kim?! How is it fair to all the other agents who we've left to rot in worse conditions? He couldn't even complete a simple mission successfully, he deserves the same! He deserves to die in-"

A harsh punch landed on his jaw, cutting off his words. Some blood trickled from one corner of his lips as his fury only increased. We wiped off the blood with the back of his hand and let out an angered cry as he lunged forward to punch V.

The latter moved back, letting the other almost fall from imbalance. Kai held onto the edge of the table to prevent himself from tumbling over. He stood up straight and went forward to punch V. This time, he managed to hit his stomach and V went stumbling back, cursing while clutching his stomach.

He lunged forward, about to grab Kai and punch him again but he was stopped by a pair of arms wrapping around him and pulling him back. Another agent did the same to Kai. Both struggled to get out of the tight grasps to kick the other. "Stop it, both of you!" shouted RM. "If you want to fight, do so in the ring, not here!"

"V, I've already told you to control yourself and to stop fighting recklessly. And Kai, we're not going to save him because of V. It's because he's the leader of the fighting unit. He's one of the top agents here," RM added calmly.

Kai rolled his eyes. "I've had enough of y'all's bullshit. I'm outta here," he spat and shrugged off the other agent's grasp on him before storming out of the room.

"This little bitch-" V began, his eyes practically blazing as he tried to run after him to presumably punch him again but the tight grip around him prevented him from doing so.

"Calm down, will you?" J-hope said to him before loosening his arms around him. "Just sit and listen to the plan. We're going to rescue him."

At those words, V relaxed. He nodded softly before sitting down while J-hope went back to his own seat. "So, what's the plan?" asked one of the agents.

"I'm going to be brief since we've wasted enough time as it is," declared RM. "It's going to be an infiltration mission and we're going to proceed in phases. We don't have much information despite the many researches we've conducted, so the first part of this mission will be finding further information."

V leaned back in his chair, rolling his eyes and wanting to speak up but he kept quiet nonetheless, knowing that he shouldn't interrupt the leader during a meeting.

"The location of the headquarters itself is unknown and we don't know much about the gang members either- yes, agent 018?" He paused, seeing the hand of one of the agents raised.

"With all due respect, sir, haven't you said earlier that agent 003 has been tracking the location and looking for details about the building?" asked the agent, a young woman in her early twenties.

She was a Japanese agent and was rarely in Korea and had been called for the sole purpose of this meeting which would lead to an important mission against the biggest gang in the country.

The woman had an oval shaped face, dark brown eyes, a very fair complexion and her short black hair reached her shoulders. Her name was Myoi Sharon Mina. Only people who were close to her called her Mina, which was not a lot. The others in the agency knew her as Sharon. She was rather reserved and very attentive, mentally taking notes of everything being said.

"Yes, but we haven't gotten much information about the main headquarters, it was all mainly about the small branches here and there," replied RM. "However, several rumours have pointed towards one thing. The next mafia leader, Baekjun's only son, attends Daejung High. Therefore, the first step will be to find him and get further information from him by capturing, threatening or kidnapping him, any means except killing or torturing him of course. Further details about the plan will be revealed once the first step has been completed."

Every agent listened closely, some even taking notes, except for one. V. He snickered. "What's so funny, agent 005?" demanded RM sternly.

"Oh nothing, just that we're conducting this whole mission based on stupid rumours," spat V mockingly. "How do you know it's actually true and we're not only gonna waste our time?"

"In addition to the rumours, we also found proofs that it might actually be true. So, it wouldn't hurt to check for ourselves," RM calmly explained.

"And what if it doesn't lead us to anything?"

"Then we change strategies."

"So," V raised an eyebrow while speaking in an incredulous tone. "You mean to tell me we're going to waste time when J- when agent 011 is potentially being tortured? We're going to be experimenting with strategies when his life is being threatened right now?!"

The silver-haired agent's voice rose several octaves higher by the end of his speech and he had stood up from his chair out of anger. He was enraged and frustrated by the methods being adopted by the agency. They just didn't seem to understand how vital it was to rescue him as soon as possible!

The leader, however, remained calm as always. He had obviously mastered the art of keeping his cool despite his young age. He didn't even flinch at V's sudden outburst. "Such missions require time, agent 005," he answered almost mechanically, without displaying any emotion.

"Which we don't have!" shouted V.

"Lower your voice and sit back down, agent 005," ordered RM, his eyes fixed on the younger with a warning gaze.

There were consequences if you misbehaved or caused trouble in a meeting and V knew it. Defeated but still keeping this intense glare in his own dark orbs, he sat down and waited for RM to go on about his plan.

Clearing his throat, RM went on to assign the roles of the mission to everyone present. Most of the agents didn't have much role in it but they were just being informed as they were top agents.

They had to know what was going on in the agency in case something happened and they had to be ready to intervene in the missions if they got nasty and couldn't be handled.

"And V, you will be the one in charge of the infiltration. You will go there as a teacher and try to find the boy. I will personally give you further details later on," RM concluded.

V gave a solemn nod. He didn't like this mission, it was a waste of time to him. But he still had to comply if he didn't want to lose his position which he had worked hard to attain. Anyway, he would be infiltrating, so he could always speed up things and try finding the target as quickly as possible.

"And one last thing," said Namjoon. "This mission is an imperative one. The instructions must be followed, the procedures must be respected and everyone must take this seriously. It's not child's play. It might not appear like it, but this will be hard. No one can afford to mess up. Have I made myself clear?"

A collective response of "yes, sir" was heard among all the 23 agents present in the room. RM's eyes, however, lingered on V for a little longer than necessary. They almost held a warning glare to them, as if telling him not to do anything stupid.

The younger returned the glare with the very same intensity. But at the same time, a curt nod of his head indicated that he had understood despite his distaste for the nature of this mission.

As the meeting ended, all the agents stepped out after bowing. Only Suga and J-hope remained with RM. "V, wait a minute, we have to talk to you," the leader said as the silver-haired boy was about to exit the room.

V held himself from rolling his eyes, having an idea of the discussion he was about to have.

"Take a seat," offered RM, gesturing to the chair right next to him.

"Listen, I know you're going to lecture me about how important this is and I get it, ok? Let me live, for God's sake!" retorted V.

"No, that's not what we want to talk to you about," intervened J-hope. V raised an eyebrow and sat down.

RM cleared his throat and began, "Agent 005." This term only made V straighten his posture. The agent code was usually used in serious occasions such as meetings, during a mission or when a mission was being explained. And V guessed that, in his case, it was the last one.

"Your mission will be to infiltrate Daejung High as a teacher," the leader went on.

V wanted to roll his eyes but controlled his urge again. He already knew that. RM always needed to appear dramatic while explaining a mission and the reason for doing that was beyond V's comprehension.

"You will have to find Baekjun's son. It might sound simple but it won't be. It is a reputable school and all the students seem to have clean records. However, some may be fabricated and may contain false information, which is very likely for the case of Baekjun's son," RM said.

"Alright, I got that from the meeting," V affirmed, clearly losing his patience. He hated being held back unnecessarily.

"Agent 005," RM reprimanded with a warning tone and a stern look. V apologised and waited for the leader to go on.

"You will have to go there in disguise and for that..." he trailed off, gesturing towards Suga.

V's eyes opened wide in horror as he stared back at what Suga was holding up for him. 'No way,' he thought in disgust. 'No fucking way.'
