Chapter 1: Origin Part One
"Master Fu! Hawkmoth's akumas are getting stronger!"
"I know, Wayzz."
"What are you planning on doing?"
"Recruiting new heroes."
As Master Fu said this, he winked at Wayzz. Wayzz knew the sign instantly as the two walked (Wayzz flew) to the phonograph.
Entering the code, Wayzz watched with excitement. This was his favorite part.
However, both were shocked when they found that a certain miraculous wasn't there!
"Where is it?" Master Fu asked as Wayzz sighed. "I guess you made yet another mistake. Let's hope that this time it's not in the wrong hands..." Wayzz said as his voice trailed off.

"Hey, Janabrat! Where are you going?"
"Chloé, leave her alone!"
A girl with lightly dark skin had bunny ears attached as her bright teal T-shirt and blue jeans were now covered in coffee stains due to Chloé Bourgeois. Her name was Janis Channing.
Looking up, Janis saw her best friends defending her.
The red-head holding a sketchbook was named Nathaniël Kurtzberg. He was shy and scared of Chloé, but he was willing to protect Janis.
The other boy was a brunette. His name was Alex. He moved in a few weeks ago, but clicked in easily with the group.
"Or, what? Should we tell the class about your crush over Maritrash?" Chloé taunted as Nathaniël growled.
Everyone (except a few) knew that Nathaniël had a crush on the bluenette. Unfortunately for him, Marinette had a crush on Adrien Agreste.
You see the star-crossed lovers, right? Now, add Janis to this equation of sloppy love. Janis loved Nathaniël. He was her secret crush yet he only saw her as his best friend.
This confusion of love wasn't fun. In fact it was sad because at the moment, no one was winning.
Alex held Nathaniël back as Chloé smirked. Holding up a page of the bluenette, Nathaniël was too shy to defend himself at this moment.
Pushing past Alex, Nathaniël ran away as hot tears ran down his face. Alex quickly helped Janis before staring at Chloé.
"How can you be such a prick?"
"It's who I am."
"Ugh! I hope you're satisfied, Chloé!"
Alex then turned his shoes and ran after Nathaniël. Glaring at Chloé, Janis followed pursuit as she didn't want to lose Nathaniël.
"Ah, yes. A boy with a broken heart in hopes of confessing," said a voice as he summoned an akuma.
"Go to him and darken his heart, my little akuma!"
°°°
Nathaniël was away from Janis and Alex as he was heartbroken. "Chloé is right. I don't have a chance with Marinette," he said before picking up his pencil.
At that moment, an akuma went inside his pencil as a butterfly outline formed on his face.
"Evilillustrator, this is Hawkmoth. A girl shattered your hopes of confessing, but I can help you win her heart," Hawkmoth paused before continuing.
"In exchange, I must have Ladybug and Chat Noir's miraculouses. Do we have a deal?" Hawkmoth finished as Nathaniël smirked.
"I accept! Marinette will be mine!"
Watching from a distance, Alex gasped. Digging through his bag, Alex found his mask. "I knew you come in handy. Lunar--" However, he was cut off by a hand grasp.
Taken away, Alex was offically gone.
°°°
Janis was walking home after losing track of Alex and Nathaniël. Sighing, she hoped that the two were okay.
She wanted to search for them, but had no clue on where they went. Having some money on her, Janis decided to treat herself by entering a jewelry store.
Entering inside, a bell chimed as Janis saw light blue shading.
Scanning through the jewelry left to right, she found one that truly caught her attention.
It was a plain grey necklace, but when Janis looked at it, the necklace changed to a light blue shade. Ironically, her name was craved onto the necklace.
Unfortunately, the necklace was locked in a glass container. Curious, Janis wondered why.
"Do you need any help, ma'am?" a worker asked as Janis nodded. "Can you unlock the container? I was hoping to buy this necklace," Janis said honestly as the worker's face fell.
"Are you sure? There's this nice magnesia bracelet," the worker offered Janis.
The worker then proceeded to tempt Janis into choosing another piece of jewelry.
"I'm sure."
"I'm afraid you can't have it. The necklace is cursed."
"Okay."
Sighing, she thanked the worker and left.
On her way home, she found an elderly man trying to pick up his cane in the middle of the road. Thinking fast, Janis helped him to safety.
"Are you alright, sir?"
"I am now, thanks to you. Are you okay?"
Janis nodded and held his cane. "Here you go," Janis said softly while digging in her bag for something. "Thank you, madam," was the last thing the elderly man said before disappearing.
When she stopped, the man was gone.
Shrugging, Janis placed her headphones in and hummed to a song named 'Never Forget You' by Zara Larsson and MNEK.
°°°
"Do you think she's the one?"
"I know it."
"What if it becomes your mistake?"
"Wayzz, I only made a mistake once--"
"Twice."
"I only made a mistake twice. This time I am certain."
Let's hope that you're right on this one.
What will happen now? Find out in the next chapter!
