Today was a special day for the oldest two kids. Aspen is getting impressions for retainers and Everett is getting braces!

Joey walks downstairs to tell them the news, holding Bria since she has been a little clingy to him lately.

Aspen and Everett are talking about shopping and they look up at Joey, stopping their conversations.

"Hi, Daddy! Asp and I were talking about fashion and stuff!" Everett greets with a smile.

"Hey, guys! I have news for both of you." Joey says with a small smile.

"What's the news?" Aspen asks gently.

"Well, Aspen, you are going to get impressions so in a few weeks they can take your braces off!" Joey says nicely and Aspen gets very excited.

"Oh, cool! But what is that?" Aspen asks Joey curiously.

"It's that pink putty-like stuff they use for a mold of your teeth! You got it before you got your braces, remember?" Joey tells his oldest daughter.

"Oh, yeah! That stuff is gross!" Everett says and Aspen nods.

Everett just got his impressions of his teeth done a few weeks ago.

"And Ev, today you are getting braces!" Joey says, trying to make it sound exciting.

Everett thinks about it for a minute before nodding.

"Okay! Will it hurt?" Everett asks his Daddy.

"It might hurt for a bit after, like a few days, but some people don't get pain right away." Joey answers.

Bria snuggles into Joey, pulling on his shirt a little.

"But I might have to take Miss Bri here! She doesn't wanna leave me." Joey adds with a sad smile.

"Aww!" Aspen and Everett both smile at Bria cuddling with Joey.

Just then, Daniel and Sienna walk downstairs together. Tristan is hanging out with Maria outside

"You two should brush your teeth before you go!" Daniel says as he tickles Sienna and she giggles.

Aspen and Everett smile at Daniel and Sienna before going upstairs to brush their teeth before their appointment.

"Da da." Bria says hugging Joey, sensing he is taking Aspen and Everett somewhere.

"You are coming too, baby! Don't worry!" Joey says as he kisses Bria and rubs her back.

"Bria is clingy with you, Sienna is clingy with me and Tristan is clingy with my mom!" Daniel says with a chuckle.

"Must be this age! I think all of our kids were clingy to one of us." Joey says as he kisses Bria.

Aspen and Everett then walk down the steps together!

"Are you guys ready to go now?" Joey asks grabbing a mask.

"Yep! We are ready!" Aspen and Everett say together happily.

"I'm a little nervous, though." Everett says quietly.

"Don't worry, Ev, braces aren't too bad! And you get to eat lots of soft foods if your teeth hurt!" Aspen tells her brother reassuringly.

"Bye, everyone!" Joey, Everett and Aspen say to their whole family.

"Bye!" Maria, Tristan, Sienna, Daniel, Maxwell, Haven, Luna, River, Eden and Ash all say in unison to Joey, Everett, Aspen and Bria.

Everett, Aspen, Joey and Bria all head out the door and to the car, Joey buckling Bria up.

Aspen sits in the front seat and Everett chooses to sit next to his baby sister even thought he doesn't have to.

"I'm glad that I got my braces now instead of later! All of my friends will have braces and I won't!" Aspen says as she fixes her hair.

"That's cool! And I had braces in high school too! So did Papa!" Joey says with a chuckle.

"Peek a boo!" Everett says as Bria giggles loudly.

"Peek a boo!" Everett says as Bria giggles loudly again.

Joey then begins to drive while Aspen and Everett talk about what it's like to get braces on.

Bria babbles along to their conversation, not understanding anything Aspen and Everett were saying.

Twenty minutes later, they arrive at the dentist/orthodontist office!

Joey gets Bria out and holds her on his hip while Everett and Aspen follow him and they all wait outside.

A worker then comes outside holding a thermometer, ready to check them in! Joey already filled Aspen and Everett's forms on his phone earlier in the day.

"Hello! I'm going to take all of your temperatures first!" The employee says, her nametag reading Jolene.

Jolene first takes Joey's temperature first and it is normal!

"Are you Aspen?" Jolene asks the teen, who nods happily.

Aspen then stands still to get her temperature done and it is normal!

"You're good! And you must be Everett!" Jolene says to Bria as a joke, making Joey, Everett and Aspen all laugh.

Bria giggles too, knowing that's not her name. Either that or she just found it funny when other people laugh.

Once everyone's temperatures were approved, Joey, Bria, Aspen and Everett were all invited in.

Joey, Bria, Aspen and Everett all sat and waited, until Aspen is called in for her appointment.

Joey gives Bria to Everett to watch for a few minutes so he can go back with Aspen to talk to the orthodontist and make sure Aspen is okay.

"Let's take a cute selfie, Bria!" Everett says as Bria claps her hands happily.

Everett pulls his iPhone out of his pocket and enters his passcode since Face ID doesn't work with his mask and he pulls up Snapchat.

"Ba ba ba ba!" Bria says as she giggles and smiles at herself.

"Do you see yourself, Bria? Do you see yourself?" Everett asks Bria playfully and Bria smiles.

Everett finds a cute filter for him and Bria to try!

"Okay, Bria! Say cheese!" Everett says to Bria as he smiles behind his mask.

"Eeeeee!" Bria says as she smiles ear to ear.

"Cheese!" Everett says happily.

"Ba ba ba!" Bria says as she claps her hands.

"Wanna take another one?" Everett asks Bria and Bria claps her hands.

"Aaaa!" Bria says as she giggles.

Everett picks another fun Snapchat filter!

"Cheese!" Everett says happily.

"Eeeeeee!" Bria says as she smiles ear to ear.

Everett is about to put his phone away, but Bria seems to think differently and babbles loudly.

"Mo eeeeee! Ehhh!" Bria says with a bit of sass, trying to say she wants to take more pictures, along with trying to say 'Ev'.

"Okay, we'll take a few more!" Everett says and picks a different filter, making Bria very happy.

Everett and Bria do stuff together for ten more minutes, and Aspen and Joey walk back to the waiting area.

"I'm going to rinse my mouth out." Aspen says with a laugh, leaving for a moment.

"All right, honey." Joey says gently, picking up Bria back up since she wants to be held again by her Daddy.

"Hi, baby! Daddy's right here!" Joey coos and Aspen returns and sits down by Joey and Everett.

"Everett? Everett Preda?" Another employee asks, their nametag said 'Harper' on.

Everett stands up, and Joey does too, trying to hand Bria to Aspen.

But Bria did NOT like the idea of leaving Joey again. She only clings to him more.

Aspen smiles at Joey and Bria together. Joey doesn't want Aspen to feel bad that Bria doesn't want to sit with her.

"She wants to be with you Daddy! That's fine!" Aspen says with a cheeky grin.

"I'll take her back with me. I don't want her crying. You know people get annoyed with that for some reason." Joey says softly.

Joey takes Bria back with him and Everett even though he didn't really want to because she might be distracting.

Everett sits down in the special chair and the orthodontist explains what they'll be doing.

"You might feel some discomfort, but I'll go as quickly as I can so it'll be over." Harper says with a smile.

"And what color would you like for your rubber bands?" Harper asks Everett curiously.

"Can you do rainbow?" Everett asks happily, and Harper nods and makes Everett relaxed.

Bria babbles a little loudly to Joey, who is reminding her to be a bit quieter.

"Inside voice, baby girl. Shhhh." Joey says softly, giving Harper an apologetic glance.

"She's been very clingy to me lately, I hope it's not too distracting." Joey says.

"No, it's okay! She's just a baby. I have a son about her age, I know how it is." Harper says as they begin to work on the braces.

Everett closes his eyes and thinks about some music in his head to get his mind off of the weird feelings of the equipment.

"Bria actually has a brother and sister the same age! We had surprise triplets last year!" Joey says with a smile.

"Uh huh!" Everett says forgetting he shouldn't be talking.

"A surprise? Wow!" Harper says with a smile at Bria.

"Yes! We thought we were having twins! Bria and her brother Tristan! But then on delivery day we found out about their sister Sienna was hiding!" Joey says with a giggle.

"That's fun!" Harper says and continues to do their job!

Half an hour later with Joey trying his best to not distract Harper put the tools away and adjusted the chair so Everett is sitting upright.

"You're all done! They look great!" Harper announces happily, handing Everett a hand mirror to see his teeth.

"Wow! They look so different!" Everett says, standing up slowly.

"Here's a list of foods you can't eat and how to brush your teeth with braces!" Harper says handing Everett a paper.

"No chewy foods? Or soda?" Everett asks out loud, rhetorically but he's only a little surprise.

Everett already knew Aspen had to avoid certain foods.

"Do you want to go to the store to pick out some soft foods for a few days, bud?" Joey asks his oldest son.

"Yeah! My teeth hurt! Is that because they're moving?" Everett agrees and then questions.

"Well, they'll move more over time! And you can take some pain medicine." Harper says to Everett.

"Thank you so much!" Joey says to Harper happily.

"My pleasure! Dr. Stevens Will want to see you in a month for a check up and then every few months until you get your braces off! It looks like your braces will be on for two and a half years!" Harper says to Joey and Everett.

"Cool! Same about of time as Aspen!" Everett says happily.

"And Aspen's appointment is on two weeks! Her retainers should be done by then!" Harper says to Joey.

"Great! Thank you so much!" Joey says as he waves at Harper instead of shaking their hand.

"My pleasure! Have a great rest of your day!" Harper says with a grin.

"You too!" Joey and Everett both say in unison to Harper.

"Ba ba ba!" Bria says as she waves goodbye to Harper.

"Bye, little one!" Harper says as they wave at Bria and Bria giggles.

Joey, Bria and Everett all walk back into the waiting room where they are Aspen watching a documentary on YouTube.

"Look, Asp!" Everett says as he pulls his mask down for a few seconds to show his teeth before putting it back up.

"They look nice! Did it hurt?" Aspen asks Everett.

"A little bit! Not too bad!" Everett says to Aspen.

"Yeah, my mouth is sensitive so that's why it really hurt!" Aspen says as Bria smiles at her.

Joey signs some paperwork to schedule Everett and Aspen's next appointments then, he, Bria, Everett and Aspen walk back out to the car.

"You can show everyone at home too! I bet Haven will love your rainbow bands!" Aspen says to Everett, sitting in the front again.

"Yeah! I bet they will!" Everett says nicely, buckling up.

Bria bites on her fingers and fusses, her teeth hurting. Joey buckles into her car seat with a frown.

"It's okay! It's okay! We're gonna be home soon, after we go to the store." Joey coos, calming Bria down a bit more.

Everett grabs a teether toy for Bria and hands it to her making Bria smile.

"Ba ba ba ba ba!" Bria says as she happily bites on the teething toy.

Everett, Aspen and Joey all happily smile at Bria.

"Okay, let's go to the store really quick!" Joey says as he begins to drive to the grocery store.

Joey, Everett, Aspen and Bria grab a few things before leaving the grocery store!

"Should we have a pizza for dinner?" Joey asks Everett and Aspen.

"Pizza sounds good!" Aspen says with a cheeky smile.

"I can try and eat some pizza! It sounds really good." Everett says with a grin.

"All right! We'll have pizza for dinner!" Joey says happily, causing Aspen, Everett and Bria to cheer.

Bria just likes copying the energy and excitement of her older siblings.

Joey then begins to drive home and once they get inside, they all relax together for the rest of the night and have pizza! :)
