Daniel's POV
My mom was coming to visit tomorrow and I was so stressed. I've been cleaning all day and making sure everything looks perfect I don't want the house to look bad. She is staying with us for a few days and I want to make it feel great for her nothing out of place. Joey had been helping too (surprisingly) and I appreciated that it makes me feel good that's he's getting ready for my mom to visit.
The Next Day
My mother arrived in the late afternoon the next day and was so happy to see Joey and I. I decided to make dinner for us to make her stay more welcoming. As I made dinner Joey and my mom talked about everything they could think of and I was so happy Joey and my mom got along so well. Dinner was ready and we all sat down to eat and chat. My mother was very chatty tonight and brought up lots of things. She said a few things that surprised me. "Daniel you cook every night do you." She said. "Yes I do mom Joey isn't the best cook." I said smiling at Joey and he nodded his head at my comment. But what she said next really got me thinking. "Well that's good Daniel I mean you need to provide for each other especially if you want to get married soon." I was in shock she was talking about marriage. Joey sat there and smiled he looked so happy when she said that. "Mom could you please excuse me and Joey for a moment." I took Joey into the other room.  "What's going on Daniel is everything alright?" Joey questioned. "Yes everything is fine everything is great actually. I just didn't think straight after my mom said that." Then Joey smiled. "What about us getting married yea we were talking about that and of course I want to marry you more than anything." Joey said. "You wanna marry me!" I said on the verge of tears. "Of course more than anything and I believe one day we will be married and I wouldn't want to be with anyone else." Joey said as tears slipped down both our cheeks. I kissed his face and hugged him so tight cause this is all I needed to hear today after how stressed I had been with the arrival of my mother to hear the person I love so much say he wants to marry me one day is incredible. I wiped away his tears and he did mine and I kissed him one last time before arriving back to the table hand in hand with the biggest grind on our faces and finished a wonderful meal with the people I loved the most.
