I wake up with a headache so I go to the bathroom to take some medicine. I start to get ready for school, but I feel dizzy so I sit down on my bed. "Fuck..." I hold my head and get up, grabbing my backpack. I skip breakfast and head onto the school bus, taking a nap. I woke up and headed off the bus and heading into the school. I went to my locker, but everything was blurry. I grabbed my notebook for Spanish.

"Hi!" Jennifer might as well have screamed. 

"Can you please be a little more quiet?" I ask. "My head hurts."

"Yeah, sorry baby." 

"It's okay, babe." I kissed her on the cheek. The bell rung signalling class. "See you later."

After class, I go to the nurse. 

"What seems to be the problem?" A nurse asks.

"My head hurts, I'm dizzy, my visions blurry..." I explain.

She takes my temperature. "You have a fever. Do you want me to call your parents?"

"No." I promised Jennifer I'd go meet her parents and take her out for a date.

"How about you go lay down until the next bell?"

"Yeah, thank you." I head over to the other room to lay down and close my eyes, falling asleep. 

"Hey, James, it's next period. Wake up." 

I open my eyes slowly and see the nurse. I look around and remember why I'm here. I rub my eyes, yawn, and stretch. I thank her and head off to lunch. Once I've gotten my lunch, I sit at an empty table waiting for Jennifer.

"Hey," I hear Jennifer say and sit down. "How you doing?"

"I'm feeling a lot better." 

"That's great." She kisses my forehead. 

After lunch, we go to our classes, then go onto the bus to head home.
