Thomas Cromwell.

A/n this character is the first of James that I loved and is based off a real life person. This character is from The Tudors.

One thing the court of King Henry Viii is known for is gossip,and today is no exception. Only it wasn't the ladies doing the gossiping it is the king himself and his best friend Charles Brandon,Duke of Suffolk. And there topic of discussion is why Sir Thomas Cromwell, is in a better mood than he has been recently.

"I just don't get it,for the last few weeks Cromwell has been miserable and dull,now he is happy and almost excited?" Charles says
"Charles,Charles,Charles its quiet simple really" Henry says
"Is it?" Charles asks the king
"A woman Charles, Cromwell has got a woman" Henry tells him.

"Nah it can't be,what woman would want him?" Charles asks
"He has wealth and a title,so plenty" the king says
"Still" Charles says dismissive
"Alright I'll ask him" Henry says"Sir Thomas"he calls across the room.

The man in question walks up to the table where the king and duke are sat
"Your majesty,your grace" Thomas says with a bow to each man
"Sir Thomas tell us the name of your lady?" Henry says,Thomas looks at the king shocked. He opens his mouth but closed it again just as fast
"Lady...majesty" Thomas eventually says.

"Yes your mood has greatly improved, so tell me the name of this lady who has managed this" Henry says,Thomas shuffled from foot to foot before saying
"Miss Y/n L/n"
"L/n,never heard of the name" Charles says
"They aren't wealthy" Thomas admits.

"So its a love match" Henry asks smirking
"Must be after your money then" a passing young noble says,Thomas turns to face him and says
"The circumstances of my lady's fortune is no concern of yours boy" the young man looks shocked at Thomas's outburst,the king laughs behind them.

"Dismissed boy" Henry says"And Thomas,I would so like to meet this lady,bring her to court"Thomas bows and leaves the room
"100 crowns says she is a dog?" Charles says
"Your on."
