I stand looking at my reflection in the full length mirror,normally I'm not one to go to these fancy party's in Gotham but my best friend Wanda Galavan had begged me to go with her. She is the cousin of the new mayor of Gotham Theo Galavan.I look at the floor length wine red dress,my hair styled how I like,beside me is Wanda in her floor length Royal purple dress with matching shoes and accessories, her black hair is down.

"Why did I agree to this?" I complain to Wanda

"Because I asked you nicely and you're my best friend that's why" Wanda tells me

"Okay fine,but just this one last time" I say,Wanda giggles.

We head down the stairs and outside to the waiting car that took us to the party. We arrive and walk inside and I see the room is crowded with various rich people. Wanda puts me at ease,she has told me that her cousin Theo is a billionaire but he isn't stuck up and treats people equal

"Okay Wanda,I'm here now what?" I ask.

"Let's got see Theo" Wanda says and she begins to look around the room for her mayor cousin"There he is by the bar"Wanda drags me over to a tall black haired man in a tux

"Cousin Wanda,how lovely to see you here" Theo says,giving Wanda a hug

"Thank you cousin,this is my friend Y/n L/n" Wanda introduces me

"Ah the infamous Y/n,Wanda has told me all about you" Theo says,looking at me.

Theo's beautiful blue eyes bore right into me and I forget to speak

"...all good things I hope" I eventually say. Theo laughs at that

"Of course,would you excuse me for a moment ladies,I must go and greet Captain Barnes" I watch as Theo walks into the crowd,it is only when I turn back to Wanda she is smiling at me knowingly.

"What?" I ask my best friend

"You like my cousin" Wanda says, direct as always

"What...no...I have only just met him" I say dismissively

"Y/n I have known you since we where little,I also know when you like someone" Wanda says

"Okay fine,I admit I think your cousin is hot" I tell her.

"But he is the mayor and I'm...gutter trash" I say sadly

"Don't put your self down like that Y/n,Theo is not like that" Wanda tells me

"Look who it is,my dumb pathetic cousin" a voice says,I turn and see a dark skinned woman who must be Tabitha Galavan

"Watch what you say bitch" I say

"You must be the gutter trash friend of her's,Y/n" Tabitha says.

"Just because I'm not rich doesn't make me scum" I say

"No,just being friends with my pathetic cousin does" Tabitha says,I see Wanda look upset

"Do not talk about Wanda that way,she is a better woman than you will never be" I glare at her

"Ah here you are Tabby" the deep voice of Theo says.

"Yes brother,I'm keeping our lovely cousin and her friend company" Tabitha says sweetly

"More like being a stuck up bitch about us" I say

"Is this true sister?" Theo asks his sister

"You believe this gutter trash over me" Tabitha says angry

"I might be gutter trash,but at least I'm no bitch" I snarl at Tabitha.

"Why would you treat your own cousin in this manner" Theo asks shocked, Tabitha goes silent "You're no sister of mine" Theo says coldly and with one final glare at me Tabitha storms off"I'm very sorry for the way Tabitha spoke to you "

"I am used to it,it is the things she said to Wanda I don't like" I tell him

"Wanda is more of a sister to me than a cousin" Theo says

"I'm going to get some air" Wanda says.

"I will join you in a few moments" I tell her,once Wanda had walked off,Theo says

"Y/n I hope I'm not being to forward,but I would love to take you to dinner some time"

"I...sure" I say,knowing Wanda would talk me into it if I said no

"Excellent" Theo walks me outside and we see Wanda by the car"I look forward to our date"Theo kisses me on the cheek before heading back inside.

I join Wanda and we get in the car

"So what do you think of the mayor?" Wanda asks

"I like him,I can't wait for our date" I say

"And I was right to bring you to this party" Wanda adds

"Yes you where."
