Chapter 23:

"Kuya!"

I was woken up by an unfamiliar words, piercing through my ears. I opened my eyes and I saw again an unfamiliar place. Damn, where the hell I am?

"Kuya, it's already dinner! Eat with us!"

What the hell is she saying? I can't understand!

I looked at the girl beside me and I was confused because I didn't know her. Who is she? Why am I here? What the fuck is she saying!?

"Kuya?"

I looked away and shut my eyes tightly. This happened already, I know. Back when I was in airport when I went here too, it happened. Just like this. But this is more intense.

Damn, I can't even understand my own thoughts!!!

"Kuya, let's go!"

When the girl tapped my shoulders, everything came back like my senses. Everything became familiar, even the words she's saying.

I opened my eyes and looked at her. She's Macy and she's my sister. Why the hell did I asked myself that? And I am here in my own room in London because I was asked by Dad to come here for Macy's birthday!

Damn it. Ano na naman bang nangyayari? Bakit napapadalas?

"I-I'll go down in a while."

"Okay, then."

I checked my phone and it's already 8:10 p.m. So, it's 4:10 a.m. in the Philippines now, huh? Hindi pala ako nakapag-chat kay Ruby para sabihing nakarating na ako rito. I opened my Messenger and sent a message to her.

Me:

Good morning!

Baby, I'm sorry. Hindi ako nakapag-chat sa 'yo nang makarating ako rito. I arrived here by 8p.m. in the Philippines. I became busy catching up with Dad and his family, and I slept immediately right after. I'm sorry if I made you worry but I'm fine. How did your first day in Manila goes? What did you and your cousins do? Please tell me stories when you woke up. I miss you a lot. I love you.

After that, I went down to eat dinner with my family. We continued catching up with the things that happened in our life and they shared me the details for the party on Wednesday, and the family tour on Friday at the Warner Bros Studio. Macy is an avid fan of JK Rowling, especially her works Harry Potter series. She even made her room themed with her Slytherin house. She's a big softie for Professor Snape even after reading all the books and finding out how cruel can Snape be.

I like Luna, though. But I'm a Gryffindor.

"Kuya, when are you coming back to the Philippines?" Macy asked me while we're finishing our foods.

"Saturday morning, baby."

She pouted. "That fast?!"

I smiled and nodded before patting her head. "You come to the Philippines too. I am very busy with my work."

She rolled her eyes at me. "Busy flirting with Ruby!" Dad and Aunt Priscilla laughed with that. "I don't want to. It feels like your mom's going to kill me."

I laughed. "I almost heard Draco's voice in you. Stop binge watching that!"

She laughed. "You can't stop me."

After we ate dinner, we played Monopoly at the living room and Macy always complain that she always lost. When it's already 10:00 p.m., we decided to sleep.

After taking a bath and changing my clothes, I checked my phone. Ruby sent me a message 15 minutes ago!

Robitussin:

I just woke up. Ganito pala ang LDR :( I miss you too! Nag-inuman kami rito nila Hennessey kasama sila Ate Anna and George, pati ibang mga pinsan ko. I know you're fine, Macy sent me a message saying that you arrived.

Wow, that girl. Akala ko ba galit siya kay Ruby?

I replied.

Me:

Wow, close pala kayo :D That's good to know!

Robitussin:

She knew that I read Harry Potter and I'm a big fan of the book too, based on my Instagram post. She started chatting me and all just before you left the country. Ang daldal ng kapatid mong 'yan.

Me:

Bagay nga kayo :D

Robitussin:

Sige, si Macy na lang pakakasalan ko in the future.

I chuckled with her reply.

Me:

I love youuu.

We chatted for few more minutes, or an hour, before she forced me to sleep because it's too late here. Damn, I hate the distance between us now. Ayaw pa makipag-video call dahil sabog daw siya sa dami ng ininom nila kahapon.

I sighed before I went to sleep again.

The following days were spent by touring around the London with the whole family. It's quite cold here now. Good thing I was prepared and brought some thick clothes. By Wednesday, the party happened with her friends and classmates as visitors. It was quite a blast! Aunt Priscilla really planned it very well for her one and only daughter. Evening that day, we had our own party as the adults because most visitors are minors and they can't party the way we do.

Friday evening, after the all-day tour and visit for the Warner Bros Studio, Macy came to my room, crying. Her eyes were swollen and her tears are falling nonstop.

"Why do you have to leave immediately? Can't you stay more?" she asked in between her sobs while she's watching me pack my things again.

I held her wrist and pulled her closer to me. I made her sit on the edge of my bed beside me. "I have a work to do in the Philippines."

"But you can work here too. It pays the employees here better than in Philippines, you said!"

I chuckled inside. Hindi ko na pala sana sinabi 'yon noong sinabi niya sa akin na gusto niya rin ng trabaho ko sa Pilipinas.

"Macy, I'll be back again, okay?"

"But when? I rarely see you! I don't want video calls with you anymore!" she sobbed again.

I sighed before pulling her into a hug. "This is why I forgive easily. It's all because of you," I sighed. "I promise to come back with Ruby and I'll let you bond together, okay? You'll go back to the Wizarding World again with her someday. Just wait, hmm? I promise to come back here."

She sniffed and then I felt her small arms hugged me back. "I love you, Kuya. I will miss you again."

I kissed her temple and calmed her before I continued packing my things. Mamayang 2:30 a.m. ang flight ko papuntang Pilipinas. Ibig sabihin, 10:30 'yon nang umaga. Mukhang 1:00 a.m. na ang dating ko ng Pilipinas, ah? Pero Linggo na 'yon. 'Yun na rin 'yung araw ng pag-alis ni Ruby ni Manila dahil kailangan niya pang mag-enrol at dumalaw sa puntod ng mga yumaong mahal nila sa buhay.

Fuck this. Hindi ko man lang nasulit ang buong linggo kasama siya.

Hindi na ako nag-abala pang matulog dahil masasayang lang ang mga oras na 'yon kung itutulog ko. Nakipag-usap na lang ako kay Ruby habang nag-aalmusal siya.

"So, okay na? Aalis ka na d'yan?" she said before sipping in her coffee.

I can see my condo's kitchen at the background. She really stayed the whole week in my condo. I imagined her lying on the couch, watching Netflix as she ate pizza. Damn, that was hot, huh?

"Yes. I've packed my things already. Maliligo na lang ako at aalis dito by 1:00 a.m."

She nodded. "Ihahatid ka ng kapatid mo?"

I shrugged. "She's crying. Ayaw akong pauwiin."

She laughed. "She's clingy. D'yan ka na lang! Dami g'wapo dito!"

I chuckled as I sat properly with what she said. "Anong g'wapo?"

"G'wapo! Sa Manila! Maraming g'wapo!"

I jokingly glared at her on the screen. "Stop that."

She laughed. "Why? Eh anong gagawin ko, maraming g'wapo nga sa Manila kaysa sa Baguio! I want to come back here often tuloy," she sipped from her coffee as I catch a glimpse of her smirk.

"Hmm, you won't come back for me? You want to come back for the gwapos?" I asked.

She burst out laughing as she put the cup on the table. "Ang conyo naman, putangina!" she laughed louder again like I was a great clown! "Babalik nga ako rito kasi maraming g'wapo! Pero ikaw! Ikaw ang pinakag'wapo! Okay ka na ba?"

I chuckled. I knew she would say that.

"Will you be awake by 1:00 a.m.?" I asked.

She nodded. "Oo naman! Susunduin kita, eh."

I felt my heart beats faster. The small thing, really.

"Really?" she nodded. "I will look for you, then."

She smiled. "Miss na kita. I hate this distance," she said.

"I hate this distance too."

"We need to close this distance once you get here, baby," she smirked. "I mean, closer."

And with the way she said that, my heart sank in happiness and excitement.

I know what she meant.

I know that smirked. I know that too well because it was a signal for making out. But, if I understand the word closer right, did she mean...?

Ohh, fuck.

"Ayiee, excited," she chuckled. "Huwag kang ma-excite. Magkaka-jetlag ka mamaya. Makakatulog ka."

I laughed as I shook my head. "I won't let that jetlag get in between us. I won't disappoint you. I won't sleep and I will stay awake for you, I promise."

She smiled as she shrugged, before she sipped from her coffee again.

We talked for few more hours before we ended the call. I took a bath and changed my clothes, sprayed my perfume then went out of my room with my bag and luggage.

"Ready to go home?" Dad asked.

I nodded. "Tulog na si Macy?" I asked.

"Hindi ka naman inihahatid no'n sa airport kahit kailan."

She hates this kind of moments. I understand her, though.

Inihatid na ako ni Daddy sa airport. I did all the procedure inside then waited for my flight to be called. Nang tawagin ang flight at tuluyan nang makasakay ng eroplano, nag-chat ako kay Ruby na pa-take off na ang plane. She replied.

Robitussin:

Take care! I can't wait to have my kisses fresh from London <3

I chuckled as I typed my reply.

Me:

I can't wait to be closer with you. I love you.

And then she sent me a smirking emoji.
