Chapter 13

Friday came. It was my last day in HAF – Baguio. By Sunday, I will be back in Ortigas. Parang dati lang, excited akong umuwi sa amin kasi miss ko na ang mga kaibigan ko at ang pamilya at mga katrabaho ko, but now, all I wanted was to stay here.

Nagkaroon ng kaonting pamiryenda sa company bilang farewell nila sa akin at may party kami mamaya sa bar. I asked Ruby to come with me. Sabi niya, nagpi-prepare siya para sa assessment niya pero ita-try niya raw.

"Don't you dare not show that damn handsome face to us later, ha?" Architect Divine said.

I chuckled. "I'll go. Mag-stay naman ako sa Baguio until Sunday morning," I assured them as I ate the malabon they ordered online.

"Naks, para ba doon sa hindi mo type?" pang-aasar sa akin ni Architect Yael.

Tinawanan ko na lang sila at hindi na pinansin ang mga pang-aasar. Tinapos ko na ang duty ko at dumiretso sa apartment para magbihis at kumain ng hapunan. Nagdala kanina si Ruby ng pagkain sa apartment dahil nga alam niyang aalis ako. Para hindi na raw ako magluto.

Ahh, missed that little woman already.

Nang makaligo at makapagbihis na ako ay tinawagan ko si Ruby. After two rings, she answered the call.

"Yow," she said that made me laughed.

"Oy, are you really not coming with me?" I asked.

She sighed. "No, I can't. Ang dami ko pang ime-memorize, eh. I'm sorry," she said in a cute tone.

I laughed. "It's okay. Puro lang naman alak at sayawan doon. See you tomorrow."

"Okay, update me, ha?" damn, I can imagine her glaring at me. I laughed. "Subukan mo lang talagang hindi mag-update. You will never kiss me again."

I laughed. "Damn, that's the scariest thing I've ever heard. Don't worry Ma'am, I will update you from time to time."

She chuckled. "Okay, then. Enjoy the farewell party!"

"Okay, thank you, baby."

She laughed loud before ending the call. Napapailing na lang ako. Every time I called her baby, she would laugh at me like I was a funny clown. I know that there was no official label between us as of now but I am damn sure of her.

She's mine. Despite the lack of the relationship, she will always be mine. She assured me already, and even if she won't assure me about that, I will never treat her differently. With assurance or without, I will stay for her the same way that I wanted to stay with her now.

I went to my car and started driving to the venue of the party. Pagkarating ko roon ay hindi pa masiyadong marami ang tao. Maybe because 8:30 PM is too early for the party people. I can't blame them, though. Back in Manila, I love to party at 11:00 PM onwards because that's the best time to be wasted.

But now, all I wanted was to spend all my time with Ruby.

We partied like there's no tomorrow; drink Tequila like were running out of it. Pakiramdam ko, nalalasing na ako. But with just few minutes of taking a nap, I know I'll be able to be sober later.

I want to see Ruby later.

"Bro, can you get her number?" Architect Corpuz asked, pointing at the woman who's dancing wildly alone.

"No."

They all laughed. "Bakit naman? Bakit dati kinuha mo 'yung number noong babae?"

I laughed. "I just can't get someone else's number. I'm already committed, dude," I answered them before drinking my shot.

Nagtawanan ulit sila bago nagbigay ng iba't-ibang dare. I won't participate to these types of games anymore. I've got my girl already. I don't want to play anymore.

I know that they have been very disappointed with the party tonight because I don't want to do their dares but I won't risk my Robitussin just for these stupid games.

"Dude, aalis ka naman na. Tsaka you can assure Ruby that you're not going to cheat on her," Architect Yael said.

Umiling ulit ako. "I don't want to disappoint her anymore. I can't risk her feelings for temporary games, dude. Hope you'll understand."

Hindi na sila kumibo pa at itinuloy na lang nila ang games. Sa huli, nagkan'ya-kan'ya na lang din sila ng punta sa mga babaeng target nila sa loob ng bar. I even saw Yael kissing Divine wildly at the dance floor. Damn these two. Sabi ko na nga ba.

When the clock strikes 1:00 AM, I bid my goodbye to them. They just let me go because they know that I am not up for these types of games anymore. I can't just play when someone's waiting for me.

Nang makapasok na ako sa driver's seat ng sasakyan ko, ipinikit ko na muna ang mga mata ko at isinandal ang ulo sa sandalan. I stayed like that for 20 minutes before I started driving away, when I know that I am slightly sober and can drive already.

Nang makarating ako sa pamilyar na malaking pulang gate, tumawag ako kay Ruby. Despite the time of my call, she still answered it.

"Hello..." she said in sleepy voice.

"Ahh, my baby has a sexy bedroom voice," I chuckled. "Are you awake? Did I wake you up, baby?"

She laughed. "Yes, kinda. Tapos na party?"

"Yup."

"Okay, take a rest na. It's almost 2:00 AM already. You need to rest."

I chuckled. "I'm... outside."

I went out of my car. Saglit pa lang akong naglakad papunta sa hood ng kotse ko ay muntik na akong matumba.

"What the fuck, seriously?!" she asked, shock was evident in her voice. Imagining her face right now made me laugh.

"Yes. I want to see you."

"What the hell, ang layo ng apartment mo rito, you're drunk and you still come here! Sinong magdi-drive sa 'yo pauwi? Hindi ako papayagan ni Daddy!"

I chuckled. "I can drive, okay? Don't worry about me. I just... want to see you. Kahit five minutes lang."

She sighed before she asked me to wait for few minutes, and then she ended the call. Ibinulsa ko na ang cellphone ko at tahimik na naghintay sa kan'ya. It's really cold here but with the amount of alcohol I drank, I seriously feel so fucking hot. Gusto kong maghubad.

Sa kalagitnaan ng pagnood ko sa mga bituin sa langit ay narinig ko ang pagbukas ng maliit na part ng gate sa gilid. I saw Ruby went out of that gate wearing a jacket while her legs are showing. I quickly went to her and kissed her lips.

"Jin!" she stopped me from kissing her. "Uy, stop," she giggled. "Baka may makakita, nakakahiya!"

I chuckled. We went inside my car at the backseat. I continued kissing her. She kissed me back. I carried her so she could sit on my lap and she willingly obliged to my body's request. She broke the kiss and started talking.

"You're drunk. You can't drive that far, Jin."

"I'm okay, baby," I answered before kissing her again.

I heard her chuckle and giggle while we make out at the backseat of my car. Since the day I kissed her lips, all I want every day is to feel her skin on mine. I am damn smitten with her, and I can't help it.

After few minutes of kissing and cuddling, she stayed sitting on my lap while we hug each other.

"You need to go home. I can't let you sleep in my house, pagagalitan ako ni Daddy."

I kissed her cheek. "Five minutes more, then I will drive home."

Umiling siya. "You can't drive. Sobrang lasing ka. Tingnan mo nga sarili mo."

"Will you drive me home?"

She laughed. "Bawal nga akong umalis nang ganitong oras," she moved away slightly but I pulled her back quickly. She laughed because of that. "Unless I'll leave with one of my cousin."

She moved away and took my cellphone from my pocket. She giggled again when she saw her face on my lock screen before unlocking it with her own fingerprint.

This cutie. I swear, if she's just smaller than she is now, I will put her in my pocket then take her with me wherever I'll go.

I watched her put my phone on her ear.

"Who are you calling?"

She shushed me by putting her index finger on her lips. "Hennessey."

I moved forward to kiss her while her index finger was on her lips. She slapped my chest but kissed me back, still. This woman, really. She's driving me crazy, God.

"Sino 'to?"

Napabitiw siya nang malakas sa halikan naming dalawa nang sumagot na ang tinatawagan niya.

"Henz!"

"Oh, kaninong number 'to?"

"Uhm, Jin..."

"Magkasama kayo? Nasa bahay niyo pa ikaw kanina, ah?"

It was damn quiet inside this car, I can clearly hear his cousin's voice.

"Oo. N-Nandito kami sa labas ng bahay."

"Oh, then?"

"C-Can you drive him home? He's drunk. I can't trust him to drive at this rate."

I move forward again and kissed her neck. Why am I so crazy with her? Paano pa kung mag-asawa na kami? Damn, I don't know how many kids we will make at that point.

"Jin!" she stopped me but I just won't let her. "Please, Hennessey."

"I don't even know where that fucker lives."

Ruby laughed so loud, hindi ko alam kung dahil ba sa sinabi ng pinsan niya o dahil nakikiliti siya sa ginagawa ko sa kan'ya.

"I'll come with you. Ituturo ko sa 'yo. Babawi ako sa 'yo. I'll help you with Ate Deli, I promise."

Hennessey laughed on the other line. "Parang kilala ka, ah? You really think I stood a chance?"

My lips went to the middle of her neck and she gave me full access of it by looking up. I almost heard her moan.

"Duh, of course. Tara na, bilis. He's too drunk, I swear."

"Okay," I heard Hennessey's laugh again. "Pag ikaw, nabuntis niyan," he said, laughing.

"Your prettiest cousin is a virgin, shut up!"

I heard him laugh again before they ended the call. Ruby pushed me away from her as she left my lap. Nasa tabi ko na siya ngayon nakaupo. I watched her wiped her neck, which I know, was wet with my kisses.

I laughed inside.

I was about to kiss her again when someone knocked on the window. I looked at that person and saw that curly guy when Ruby opened the door in driver's seat.

"Bilis na!" she instructed him.

I saw with my tipsy eyes how Hennessey shook his head. "You'll pay me tenfolds, woman."

Ruby laughed. "Just make an excuse for me with Daddy, please."

Hindi ko na pinansin ang pag-uusap nilang dalawa. Nanatili si Ruby sa tabi ko habang si Hennessey naman ay nagdi-drive ng sasakyan ko.

Earlier, I thought I am not that drunk but why do I feel so fucking drunk now that I just finished making out with her? Parang gusto ko na lang matulog sa sobrang hilo ko. Maybe I really did drink too much. Gladly, I didn't get into accident a while ago.

Hindi ko na alam kung ano nang nangyari. I just realized that Ruby's asking for my apartment's key. Later on, we entered inside.
