"You're fucking kidding me right?!"

"Jimin please calm down and think about this logically." Yoongi sighs, thumb and index finger pinching the bridge of his nose as he sighs and awaits the barrage of profanities.

"Logically?! Are you fucking kidding me hyung?! We've got Jin locked up in a fucking cell, a dead hybrid in the lab, Tae hasn't come out of his room since all of this shit went down and yet SHE!" Jimin points a finger at Y/N, eyes narrowed and nostrils flaring. "She gets to just sit here with us like she fucking belongs and guess what princess you don't, I didn't trust you before and I certainly don't trust you now especially after your little light show with Jungkook."

"You honestly think I'm a danger to you?!" Y/N responds with equal amounts of anger and disdain, fingers curling into fists at her side as she stands up. "I'm just as confused and scared as the rest of you, one minute I'm living my life and pretty much certain of everything in it and then the next everything gets messed up. I don't even know who I am anymore! So back the hell off, I don't have time for you or your apparent inferiority complex."

"What did you just say to me? Inferiority complex?!"

"Yes inferiority complex, you hide behind this asshole bravado and spew your insults when something doesn't go exactly the way you like it. I get it okay, I get that you're protective of the people you care about and I also understand to a point your distrust in me but cut me some slack will you? I've done nothing but try to show you from the very beginning that I'm not your enemy."

Jimin seethes, the sheer audacity of this woman to presume she knows him.

......even if she is somewhat correct.

"How do you know that for certain? You've just said yourself that don't even know who you are anymore so what's to say you weren't sent here to take out our team? You just told us that you somehow reversed time to save Jin, that you reversed time....do you have any idea how ludacris that sounds."

"Don't you think I know that." Her voice trembles and Jimin pretends that it doesn't bother him. "I wish I could explain it to you but I can't, all I know is that I watched Jin die.....I watched the hybrid kill him and the pain it caused me was unlike anything I've ever experienced before. I felt like I had lost a part of myself and I knew then that I had to do something about it, I couldn't let him die and then it just happened."

"You just happened to reverse time, something that's scientifically impossible." Jimin scoffs and rolls his eyes.

It was impossible, she had to be lying to them.

He didn't trust her, nothing she was saying made any logical sense.

"You witnessed what happened after, how do you explain what happened with Jungkook? How do you explain me taking out a trained hybrid? Come on Jimin, you're a smart guy so please don't let your hate for me blind reason."

"She's right Jimin, we shouldn't be so quick to pass judgement." Yoongi didn't want Jimin to think he was against him, he understood his doubts and concerns because to a certain extent he shared them but they also didn't have all the answers yet and until they did it wasn't fair on Y/N to be punished.

"So even you doubt me hyung?" Yoongi despised the way Jimin's voice lost that hardened edge, how he allowed himself to be vulnerable for a moment because when that happened his eyes filled with so much sadness it broke Yoongi.

And that was no easy thing to do.

"I would never doubt you Jimin, you know how much I respect every member of this team but we don't have all the answers yet and until we do it's not fair to Y/N for us to make rash judgements of her character."

The sadness in Jimin's eyes didn't last long, he despised displaying weakness of any kind.

"I see." He spat, eyes once again filled with anger as he took one last look at them both before storming out.

Yoongi sighs, shoulders slumped in defeat as he turns to Y/N.

"Jimin is an extremely passionate individual. I know it doesn't seem like it but there's so much more to him than what you've seen so far, he's just had a really messed up life and I'm fully aware that doesn't excuse his behaviour but he finds it difficult to trust people and those he cares about he can be extremely protective over. He doesn't like change, he doesn't like someone coming in and messing up his routine and I hear what you're saying....I know that you never asked for this and you're just as confused as we are but please try and be patient with him." Yoongi is tired and totally out of this element, he isn't the one who usually takes charge but with Namjoon currently resting due to his injuries and Jin locked up he doesn't really have much of a choice. "I agree with Jimin to a certain extent, I don't fully trust you and you can't blame us for that but what I will promise you is that I won't fully judge your character until I have all the answers."

"I guess I understand your reasons for not trusting me, until then all I can do is show you that I'm on your side." Y/N doesn't want to argue, at this point all she wants is answers and time to sit by herself for a moment and let everything that happened sink in because if she's totally honest with herself she's absolutely terrified.

Losing Jin, the pain she felt....how she reversed time to save his life and kill the hybrid instead.

The connection she felt with Jungkook, the names they both recalled...a moment from a past they never knew they had or was it all fabricated?

Then Taehyung....why did he suddenly shut her out like he did? The way he looked at her after what happened with Jungkook was so cold and so vastly different to the man she's known since they first met that it unnerved her.

Was it jealously?

Was it because of what happened with Jin?

Surely he wouldn't think less of her right?

"Hey, everything okay in here?" Jungkook stepped inside the conference room, eyes flitting between Yoongi who was leaning against the table and Y/N who was slumped in a seat adjacent. He reluctantly left just after the events of what happened when Yoongi asked him to take Namjoon and Hobi to their respective quarters to rest and recuperate before they met to discuss their next move, he didn't want to leave Y/N especially after what happened but he wasn't about to disobey Yoongi's orders.

"Everything is fine Guk, how are Namjoon and Hoseok doing?"

"They're good, just need to rest and then we'll be able to make our move." Jungkook didn't like the way Y/N didn't even lift her head to acknowledge him, she just stared at her hands.

What happened here after he left?

Did Jimin say something? Did Yoongi?

Was it something to do with what happened between them?

"Good, listen Guk....stay here with Y/N okay? I'm going to check on Jin, hopefully he'll be up to taking about what happened."

"We shouldn't keep him locked up like that hyung, it's not right....he's one of us...he's family."

"Guk he attacked Tae and Hobi, I don't know why....I don't even know if it was something he remembers doing but until we get answers from him he's staying where he is."

Jungkook doesn't like it, he knows Jin...they all know Jin and the type of person he is and there's no damn way he would ever betray them like this, there's got to be a perfectly good explanation.

......there has to be right? Jin wouldn't work for the organisation, he wouldn't betray them like that.

But when did anything go the way it was supposed to lately, everything seemed to be falling apart and Jungkook had never been so confused before...he couldn't make heads nor tails of any of this.

What happened between him and Y/N? Was she a hybrid? Was she truly someone they could trust? Jungkook had so many questions and he was determined to find out the answers.

"Just go easy on him okay? I don't think any of what happened is his doing....at least not willingly."

Yoongi pushed himself away from the table and gave a nod. "Call me if you need me for anything okay?"

"I will hyung." Jungkook waited for Yoongi to close the door behind him before he sat beside Y/N and gently took her hands in his. "Hey, what happened?"

"What's going on Jungkook? I'm so confused and so fucking terrified, what am I?" She looked up and Jungkook's heart ached.

She looked so sad....he hated to see her like this as it was totally out of character.

"I wish I could tell you, I wish I had all the answers for you but I'm just as confused. I don't know what you are, my guess is that you're a hybrid like myself but with what you can do....definitely more advanced. I don't know if the organisation created you like they did me or if someone else did but I promise we'll find out the answers, we'll uncover the truth."

Y/N nods, the furrow between her brows disappearing as she becomes lost in thought again.

"What if Jimin is right, what if the organisation created me and I'm here to hurt you? What if I just don't remember yet?"

Jungkook has already thought about that possibility and the thought leaves him with a heavy feeling weighing down on his heart.

"Then you have a choice, we all have choices right? The choice to change, to be better....to do the right thing."

"What if I want to change but can't?"

"Then I'll help you, I won't give up on you."

Y/N smiles, the first one he's had the absolute pleasure of seeing since he walked into the room and his heart soars. He doesn't know what their connection is, isn't even sure if it's a genuine one but want he does know is that he feels something for this woman and he wants to explore it....he wants answers and little does he know that these exact thoughts are also running through her mind.

"Did you see Tae?" Y/N whispers, eyes moving to the door as if the older agent will magically appear.

"No, I'm sure he's fine....probably just needs time to process everything."

"He looked at me like he hated me."

"He doesn't hate you, Tae is just.....possessive and I don't think he enjoyed seeing us as close as we were."

Y/N knows that Jungkook is right, that Tae probably just needs a little space but what she doesn't understand is the way he looked at her before he left the room.

Why is he blaming her for this?

"I....would you mind if I went to see him?" Y/N knew she shouldn't feel guilty but the feeling still surfaced when she noticed the way Jungkook's lips turned down at the corners, something they often did when he was upset or angry over something.

"I just want to know where I stand with him, that's all. I don't want to leave things awkward between us, please understand."

Jungkook seems to mull this over before nodding in agreement, pressing a chaste kiss to her forehead. "Okay, I'm going to check on Yoongi, make sure everything is going okay with Jin."

Y/N nods, eyebrows raised in surprise at the sudden show of affection but doesn't say anything else as she watches the younger hybrid leave the room.

She has no clue who she is anymore.

How much of her life before this was real?

Just what is her connection to the guys?

Does she have a connection to the organisation too?

Why does she feel like everything is about to become so much more complicated.

First things first she needs to speak with Taehyung.

She gets a sinking feeling that this isn't going to go the way she hoped.
