Yugioh Ace Monsters
Jaden: 'Allo governors, Jaden here. As you all probably might know, I am a fan of Yugioh. Especially the GX series hence the name. Also, since I haven't watched the VRAINS series, I won't be adding any cards from that.
Thundrr: And to be fair, most of it is in Japanese so there names would be totally different to the translation.
Jaden: So welcome to my top ten Yugioh Ace Monsters. Suggested by JohnathenYoungs.
Number 10
Jaden: I'm going to be real here, I absolutely hate the ZEXAL series. No, I am not biased or anything, I do like this monster but I don't use it that much at its full potential.
Thundrr: Let me guess. Number 39: Utopia?
Jaden: Exactly.
Jaden: I mean, I do like the concept of having cards that help it out and other versions of it but it really doesn't do that much.
Thundrr: Well, I guess that explains it being in the number 10 spot.
Number 9
Jaden: In Yugioh Arc-V, they introduced four different ace dragons for each dimension. They are all good but everyone knows that Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon is on the list thanks to the array of versions it has.
Thundrr: You couldn't get a bigger picture, could you.
Jaden: No I couldn't, anyways, Odd Eyes has been one of the main dragons and the very first pendulum monster ever created. His ability to do double the damage when destroying a monster is pretty powerful. And it has many amazing counterparts like Rune Eyes, Beast Eyes, Rebellion, the list goes on.
Number 8
Jaden: Remember how I said that Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon was a good ace monster. Well, he is not the best of the four dragons. Because out of the four, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon is much better.
Thundrr: Why is this better than Odd Eyes?
Jaden: Just read the effect.
Thundrr: Ok, that takes the cake.
Jaden: And probably ate it too.
Number 7
Jaden: Another thing to mention is that when saying ace monsters, I am not only talking about the very main character. So on the number 7 spot, we have Joey Wheeler's Red Eyes Black Dragon.
Thundrr: Ah, yes. It also has many different cards that help it out.
Jaden: Correct my electric friend, those cards include Black Stone of the Legend, Red-Eyes Fusion, Inferno Fire Blast and Lord of the Red. Just to name a few.
Number 6
Jaden: Despite being a GX fan, there aren't really a whole lot of ace monsters. There aren't many notable ones and a number of characters don't have a specific ace monster.
Thundrr: The list are Syrus, Zane, Alexis, Jim, Axel and Atticus.
Jaden: Well, Atticus does have an ace monster but it's the same as Joey. Anyways, on this spot, we have the king of a country I'm from. Master of Oz.
Thundrr: Did you just choose him because of how high his attack points are?
Jaden: Yes.
Number 5
Jaden: Now, not many know this monster well mainly because the character that used it got written out of GX after every season. Hence why he went missing through most of season 2 and 3.
Thundrr: This could be interesting.
Jaden: As a fan of science, I was happy to find this card. Meet Water Dragon.
Thundrr: Despite the unoriginal name, the gimmick is quite interesting.
Jaden: Correct, to summon it, you have to use a card called "Bonding H2O" which causes you to destroy two Hydrogeddons and one Oxygeddon to summon him. And if you didn't know, two hydrogen molecules and one oxygen molecule makes water.
Thundrr: End of science lesson.
Number 4
Jaden: This one was a bit of a tough decision mainly because there were so many to choose from.
Thundrr: So we thought, why not add all of them.
Jaden: So this spot is taken by the Signer Dragons.
Thundrr: Yep, they're all cool and they link to the crimson dragon.
Jaden: Not only that, but they're all powerful just on their own. This shows that people can work as a team even if there are ups and downs.
Number 3
Jaden: When making this list, I was always wondering what was Yusei's ace monster. Was it Stardust Dragon or Junk Warrior? Well, since I already did the Signer Dragons before, Junk Warrior takes this spot.
Thundrr: Really?
Jaden: Yes, now I know what some of you are thinking. "Jaden, Stardust Dragon is better because it has different versions like Shooting Star, Majestic Star and Shooting Quasar". Yes, that is true and Yusei does like that monster a lot. However, Yusei's deck mainly consisted of low level monsters to easily synchro summon monsters like Junk Warrior.
Thundrr: And?
Jaden: Let me tell you something, when I was dueling on YGOPRO, I OTKd someone using Junk Warrior because I used his effect mixed with Doppel tokens and Solidarity. This made his attack points 131000. It can go that high with such ease.
Number 2
Jaden: Ok, we can't have a top ten Yugion Ace Monster list without the OG monster. Say hello to the one, the only, Dark Magician.
Thundrr: This isn't the right picture. It's supposed to be purple.
Jaden: I know, but it's still the same one. And who doesn't like the very first ace monster in existence. Ok, maybe more people use Blue Eyes White Dragon which I was going to put in this spot but Dark Magician is way better. Especially since there are so many cards and I mean loads that support him.
Thundrr: So many, we can't name them all.
Number 1
Jaden: Ok, this might sound a bit biased but there is a reason as to why I like this card. Who am I talking about? Jaden Yuki's ace monster, Elemental Hero Neos.
Thundrr: Didn't that card not come into his deck until season 2?
Jaden: That is true but to be fair, Jaden made that card as a kid and it became his dream for it to be made.
Thundrr: Ok, so what do you like about him?
Jaden: Other than how cool he looks, he was the one that introduced Contact Fusion. Fusing two monsters without the need of Polymerization. Not only that, he has a ton of support cards and since there is an archetype revolving around him, he is the king.
Thundrr: Overall, this takes his number 1 spot for sure.
