Ground Type Pokemon

Jaden: *in a hard hat, covered in black coal and holding a pickaxe* 'Allo governors and welcome to my top ten lists. Today is the ground type Pokemon. Also, if you were wondering why i wasn't here yesterday, I was in need of sleep and I had trouble focusing. With that, let's get on with the list.

Book: *in a hard hat, covered in black coal and holding a shovel* I think Lucas tripped again.

Jaden: How did this happen?

Book: Well, some rocks were on the bottom of the mine's floor and he tripped over them. now he's looking for his hard hat.

Jaden: Oh goodness me, let's help him.

Number 10

Jaden: I liked this Pokemon a lot when I was a kid. But after growing up, I started to like it less. It's Flygon.

Lucas: What's your reason for liking it less?

Jaden: Well, it's not really that good in competitive and it also is really in need of a mega evolution. Too bad the art designer had artist's block and couldn't come up with a good design. Also, its shiny makes no sense.

Lucas: *looks at shiny* You're right, it does make no sense.

Number 9

Jaden: This doesn't look as good as it's Alolan form, but it's still a great Pokemon. Marowak not only looks cool, but its origins are quite interesting.

Lucas: But sad too.

Jaden: Yes, that too. It's also low on the list because compared to its Alolan counterpart, it isn't very good in competitive. Its tier is PU compared to Alolan Marowak's RU Tier which is a step higher.

Book: Yeah, it is considered one of the strongest Alolan forms too.

Number 8

Jaden: Read Rock type list for Rhydon's reasoning.

Number 7

Jaden: Read Steel type list for Steelix's reasoning.

Number 6

Jaden: I used this in my playthrough of Diamond and it was good. Gastrodon is awesome because it only has one weakness and is fairly decent in competitive.

Book: That's understandable.

Jaden: However, it is a special attacker and there aren't that many ground type special attacks.

Lucas: *looks up list* Huh, the only good one is Earth Power.

Number 5

Jaden: Read Dark type list for Krookodile's reasoning.

Number 4

Jaden: This Pokemon used to be a unique typed Pokemon, until another one of its types came out. But Gliscor is a powerhouse. Not only is it cool looking and the anime portrayal was great, it is amazing in competitive.

Lucas: Ability Poison Heal, give it a Toxic Orb, you are set.

Jaden: Did I mention that it also can sweep people easily?

Number 3

Jaden: When I started playing Emerald, Mudkip looked like an awesome Pokemon. Once it became a Swampert, I absolutely loved it. It has an awesome design, it is good in competitive for sure, and it has an awesome Mega Evolution.

Book: Isn't he the favourite of the Hoenn starters?

Jaden: Yes, hence why there are so many Mudkip memes.

Number 2

Jaden: Read Dragon type list for Garchomp's reasoning.

Number 1

Jaden: In Generation 1, this Pokemon was broken. In later gens, it wasn't as broken but still good. In randomizer nuzlockes, it is power early game. The best designed generation 1 Pokemon of all time takes the number 1 spot. Nidoking.

Lucas: I agree, it looks badass and it is a powerful Pokemon.

Jaden: Like I said, it was an overpowered Pokemon in the first games due to an X Accuracy glitch causing moves to never miss. That way, you can just spam Horn Drill and win. He's basically the go to speedrunner Pokemon.

Book: Also, his shiny makes sense unlike someone. *cough* Nidoqueen.

Jaden: My Nidoking is named after the Patterrz's draft logo, Newcastle Nidokings. While I don't root for them, I still like Patterrz. Not as much as Luke.
