Jaden: 'Allo governors, Jaden here. Now, about a year an a half ago, I made a list like this before. Now, a lot has changed since then and one of those are my opinions. Now, there are a set of 10 characters that I want added in Smash and some of the characters I've said in the last list have no chance whatsoever. Especially Goku, I don't actually want him in Smash anymore. That was just me being a crazy Dragon Ball fan. Ah, the good days, I think.

Thundrr: Yeah, there will be no anime characters whatsoever. Only video game characters.

Jaden: Anyway, I'm making this list because the ARMS character will be releasing soon as of writing this. So here are the ten characters I want in Smash.

Number 10

Jaden: Now, this character, I do not expect to be added to Smash but it will still be cool if he was added. The character I'm talking about is Dunban from the Xenoblade Chronicles Series.

Thundrr: Ah of course, one of your favourite characters.

Jaden: Now, I know a lot of people want Rex from XC2. However, I feel that Dunban fits better because he fits well with the cast better. Plus the character is very unique in so many ways. Despite losing the use of his right arm, he never gave up fighting and still carried on. Obviously I want another rep for Xenoblade and I feel Dunban would fit well. Though I doubt he will be added. Reyn is also a good choice too.

Thundrr: NOW IT'S REYN TIME!!!

Number 9

Jaden: Like most people know, Smash doesn't have that much representation for the Final Fantasy franchise. Only giving us two spirits, some music, 1 stage and that's it. It does not seem very fair.

Thundrr: Truly.

Jaden: So for this, Sephiroth makes it to the list. Of course there are many characters to choose from but I feel that he is the most iconic antagonist in all of Final Fantasy. Awesome design, cool moves, giant sword and amazing voice lines. This character is fit for Smash Ultimate for sure. And for those who want Tifa Lockhart in Smash Ultimate.

Thundrr: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is for good boys and girls of all ages.

Number 8

Jaden: Ok, I will admit this, I am one of those people who do want Dante from Devil May Cry as a character. Not because of all the memes and how popular he is. I just like the DMC games, they are very good. And his style of fighting is very unique and has a lot of variety. I can see him in Smash.

Thundrr: Didn't you tell me that a friend of yours only wanted Dante added in Smash so that he can beat him using Bayonetta because of the Death Battle?

Jaden: Yeah, but he doesn't use that reason anymore because he has now learned to accept that Dante beats Bayonetta.

Thundrr: Ok, cool.

Number 7

Jaden: This spot goes to the spinning marcupiel, Crash Bandicoot. One of my childhood games growing up. I know a lot of you out there were hyped about Banjo & Kazooie. But I never grew up playing his games, I played more of Crash Bandicoot and he seems very fitting for Smash.

Thundrr: Yes, he has a similar art style to Banjo and is also an iconic game character during the early 2000s. It's rare to find someone who doesn't know this character.

Jaden: I mean, Spyro would also be a good choice but I think Crash is more popular.

Thundrr: I think so too.

Number 6

Jaden: Now, as of writing this, the Pokemon DLC is about to be released. And if there is a Pokemon that's going to be added, then it has to be from Gen 8. Now, I spent a lot of time thinking about this and I would've put Cinderace in here. But I can't because there are already two fire type starter Pokemon. And they are both not great.

Thundrr: For context, Jaden here doesn't like Charizard or Incineroar that much.

Jaden: So the Pokemon that should be added is Rillaboom. We need a Grass type starter in Smash and Decidueye would've been added had it not been for swapping it out for Incineroar. Now, I feel that Rillaboom would have a similar style of fighting to Donkey Kong but also adding in some plant and drum elements to it. Like, using the move Drum Beating to create roots on the ground as a down smash. Also, the final smash could be its Gigantamax Form using its G-Max move.

Thundrr: Yes, that sounds awesome.

Number 5

Jaden: Now, I'm a sucker for goofy characters in fighting games. Sure, Smash has a lot of weapons experts, strong buff characters and video game icons. But not many of them are goofy. For this, I want Frank West from Dead Rising to be a playable character.

Thundrr: Ooh, this is an interesting one. A photojournalist who kills zombies with any object he finds.

Jaden: I mean, it works. His camera can be used as a weapon, his specials and smash attacks could be based on his plethora of combination weapons. Heck, his final smash could be sending enemies into a zombie horde or using the Exo-Suit.

Thundrr: Probably the zombie horde sounds better. He could do like in Marvel vs Capcom Infinite and take a selfie while the horde is being blown up.

Jaden: True.

Number 4

Jaden: This character was heavily predicted during the time Joker was announced. And many people like myself wanted him added to Smash. That character is the most iconic gaming ninja himself, Ryu Hayabusa. Not only would he be comparable to characters like Greninja and Sheik with fast combos, he would also have a plethora of weaponry.

Thundrr: Correct, his jabs can be his Falcon talons and his tilts can utilise his staff or nunchucks. And his neutral special can use his shuriken too.

Jaden: This character has been one of my person favourites. He also has many types of techniques called Nippon techniques which are similar to Hero's Magic. I wonder how they will be able to implement that into the game. Hmmm.

Thundrr: Maybe be like hero and do an RNG thing with down-B. That way, there will be more luck based aspects in Smash.

Jaden: Are you sure that it's not going to cause another drama?

Thundrr: Maybe, but who cares.

Number 3

Jaden: Now, it has been hard for Sakurai to get Square Enix characters added to Smash. But there is one Square Enix character that has to be added. Crono from the game Chrono Trigger. This would be very good for the DBZ fans because the games art director is Akira Toriyama.

Thundrr: Hell yeah, that character is definitely an amazing choice. Especially since it was voted the game with the best soundtrack. In fact, it will be amazing to play Smash Ultimate and listen to Frog's theme.

Jaden: I 100% agree. Frog's theme in Smash for sure. Also, this character has critical hits in his game so it might be a thing where he gets one but I highly doubt it. All I care about is that an amazing character gets added and the amazing soundtrack gets added too.

Thundrr: FOR GLENN, THE WARRIOR THAT HOLDS THE MASAMUNE AND SLICED A MOUNTAIN IN HALF!!!!

Number 2

Jaden: Now, I have been a fan of this character since he came out on the DS. The English Gentleman and Archaeologist, Professor Hershel Layton. Sure, a lot of you may think he doesn't suit Smash because he doesn't appear to be such a show offy type character. Well let me tell you this, he has survived a lot of things throughout his series.

Thundrr: Correct. He survived large explosions, falling buildings and a Ferrish Wheel chasing him. Not only that he is capable of holding his own in a fight.

Jaden: Especially sword fights considered that he took fencing classes when he was younger and was able to fight someone with a sword using a metal pipe. Not only that, he is capable of creating many kinds of gadgets on the fly, a good example being the slot machine gun.

Thundrr: Which is just a large machine gun made of slot machine parts and fires many coin tokens faster than someone who hit a jackpot.

Number 1

Jaden: This one, I'm pretty sure you've all been expecting. This opinion will never change at all. I want Phoenix Wright added to Smash. I want more goofy characters and the Ace Attorney himself is the embodiement of goofy characters. His fighting style will be comedic and interesting at the same time.

Thundrr: And just like Lucario, Joker and Terry, he will fit perfectly with a comeback mechanic. Because his main gist is turning things around when there is a turnabout.

Jaden: Correct, this would be similar to Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 but it won't have all the heavy, medium and light attacks. It'll be less complicated and can build up like Cloud's limit or Joker's Persona Bar. Mainly because it takes time to find the evidence and make a comeback, Phoenix Wright style.

Thundrr: I feel as though his final smash would be him taking everyone in his view to court and proving that they comitted a crime.

Jaden: Yeah, that is the most iconic part of Ace Attorney.

Thundrr: Now that I think about it. You're right, Smash does need more goofy characters.
