Alex's POV
There was a noise in the bush next to us, I jump up and get into a defensive position out of instinct. What shocks me is that there is a girl, most likely in the lower years of the school [I'm British and have no clue what the classes are like in America so... on with the story] she has pretty rainbow coloured hair and had a small bag wrapped around her waist "can you help me I'm lost?" The girl said with a innocent voice "my names Bliss Everfree" "well my names Jaden and this is Alex we would be happy to help but we're looking for a friend, you can join us if you want" Jaden suggests, I glare at him 'why did you invite her with us?' I think to Jaden 'because she needs help Alex, plus we could use the company' he replies, I know he is a helpful person and I can't do anything about it, as they say put up or shut up [if anyone gets the song reference I will be happy].
"We've been walking for hours" Jaden complains while his stomach growls telling us he's hungry "we've been walking for no longer than ten minute" Bliss said with a laugh while I just look at the brown haired boy with a amused expression -/master we have arrived\- said the magician of chaos, we had been following him since we met up with Bliss, she however didn't know that we were following a duel spirit. From the corner of my eye I see something red and purple "ruby" I whisper to get the spirits attention -/it's Jesse he told me to go and get help\- the cat like duel spirit said. I look over at Jaden with fear evident in my eyes, then we follow ruby to a river bank. I look around and notice my brother lying on his back near the edge of the water, he looked like he had been beaten up he had bruises all over and a cut on his lip. I run over to him and collapse to my knees at his side "Kai" was all he mumbled before passing out from pain. I start shaking from fear or anger I have yet to know, I notice Jaden sit next to me and put a hand on my shoulder "Jesse"I hear someone mutter but it wasn't me or Jaden, it was Bliss, she knew my brother? (No time for this) I thought to myself as my eyes start to water and I start showing signs of a panic attack. I look to the floor and the tears I had been holding back spilled. I'm shocked as I feel a pair of arms wrap around me making me feel safe and that's when I know it's Jaden. I bury my head in his chest and cry, while he whispers calming words to me Bliss calls for help.

After around half hour of crying the tears stop and I feel another pair of arms wrap around me (Bliss...) I think to myself. "Well, well, what do we have here" a sinister and familiar voice and my sadness from earlier is now converted into rage. 'Kai' Jaden thought to me I look at him and nod, he looks back with sympathetic and slight anger directed towards the newcomer...
