Alex's POV
Kai leans down and licks my neck causing me to flinch away, unfortunately for me there was a knife held to my throat. I whimper in pain as the knife digs in. "Alex" Jesse shouts growing increasingly annoyed. Kai still has his mouth near my neck so I'm cautious, he is a vampire after all. "My pet" he says before crying out in pain. I had lifted my foot and slammed it into his leg. I try to escape from his grasp but that only annoys him more. He grabs my shoulders and digs his sharp nails into my skin. The pain isn't there for long as salamence grabs Kai from the back on his top and throws him on the ground, slifer is still waiting for my directions. The vines reappear around him keeping him on the floor, this time he won't escape as he has used up too much of his power. I gently placed a hand on my neck and applied pressure to slow the blood flow. "Our bond is one that will stand the test of time. And when we work together there's nothing we can't do" I say breathlessly and turn away. I begin walking over to the others, but I'm stopped short when I weakly collapse to my knees. "Slifer take him to the past, seal him in a tablet. Hopefully that should stop him from appearing again." I say with a weak smile. I take my hand from my neck and look at it, my hand is covered in blood. I look up at my friends and see that arceus' barrier is still keeping them away, it's the only thing that stopped them from getting injured in the fight. The barrier breaks and Jaden and Haou run towards me instantly, I smile at them before feeling the last of the energy I had draining. I fall into Jaden yet somehow remain conscious "Jay...Haou..." I mutter weekly as I feel Jaden place a hand under my neck and another hand under my legs. I grunt in pain as he lifts me "salamence could you possibly fly us to the nearest Pokemon centre. If we don't get there soon then..." I hear him say, it's as if he cut himself off, not wanting to think of what could happen. "Bring her here. I should be able to heal her" arceus says with a powerful voice. Before I drift off into a deep sleep.
Jaden's POV
I walk over to the god pokemon and he glows green again, this time he puts his foot on her stomach. I instantly notice the gash on her neck glowing the same green, its healing. The glow also seems to be giving her back her energy, I bow my head in respect to the powerful Pokemon. When I look up I see that Haou is stood next to me, he looks at me and smiles (wait smiles?). I smile back and look down at the girl in my arms, she had lost consciousness after arceus had spoken. Haou hugs me reassuringly "what's wrong?" I ask "I should be asking you that, your the one that's crying" he replies with concern. He brings his hand up to my cheek and brushes away a few stray tears. I pass Alex gently over to Jesse, who is conveniently stood behind me, and turn back around to face Haou. Unexpectedly I jump into him and the tears start flowing freely again. "We've almost lost her so many times H-Haou and knowing her it's most likely to happen again" I say with my voice cracking. He wraps an arm around me gently and the other he runs through my hair, it calms me down but I can't stop crying. "Don't worry Jaden, we have to trust her. Plus we're all going to protect her." Haou whispers to me reassuringly. I slowly stop crying and look at Alex, she no longer looks like she's in pain and looks peaceful. Even with ripped and muddy clothes she looks beautiful. I can't help but kiss her forehead, I love this girl. I think of how she was when she first came to duel academy, shy and mute. Then I think about her now, she often takes control in situations like this, she's protective of her friends, she's becoming more confident and most of all she's opened up to us. I sigh and smile. I then begin to laugh, she was so broken and now she's the shining star, "it's funny how fast people change" I say in a joyful tone "yeah, after Haou was controlled by the darkness and was controlling you, you refused to talk to anyone, you didn't turn up to lessons either but there's nothing new about that" Jesse said laughing to...
