Alex's POV
As I walk into the chancellors office I notice a tall man with a small beard and a bald head. "Ah, you must be our new transfer student Alex Anderson. As you are a transfer you will have to start at our lowest rank the slifer red, however I'm sure you'll be moved up in due time." He said looking at me, I nod as he continues ''I am chancellor shepherd and welcome to duel academy, I'll take you to Dorothy to get you fitted for a uniform." He explained I nod again silently as he walks toward the door and opens it to find.... A 2 toned brown haired boy, I'd say he's around my age of 14. "Jaden Yuki what are you doing here?" The chancellor said looking at the boy "well, teach, Dr Crowler sent me here because...because... I can't remember, I fell asleep while he was explaining why, haha" the boy, Jaden, said with a slight laugh. 'This boy seems quite hyper, he can hardly stand still' I thought 'he kinda reminds me of Jesse' "I don't know why he only sent me though Jesse was sleeping too, oh yeah it might be something to do with the fact that I'm a 'slifer slacker'. Who's she?" He questions innocently. "This is a new transfer student Alex Anderson." Chancellor explained with a smile on his face at the boys hyperactive innocence. "Wait Anderson, my friend has the same last name as you." He commented with a smile that only he could pull off, I looked to the chancellor for help as I can't talk to people, I haven't spoken since Jess left north academy. "According to the papers Jesse Anderson is her older brother, however we have a slight issue, she's mute." Chancellor said saving me from having to explain "how about you come with us to see Dorothy, we need to get Alex a slifer uniform, hmm" chancellor said shocking me, "would you like to have a roommate Jaden if it's ok with Alex that is, I know we don't normally let a boy and girl room together but we don't have any other rooms available." Shepherd said as he began to walk out of the spacious room into the long narrow corridors. 'Why of all people did I have to be put with the cute hyperactive one that everyone wants to choke In his sleep? This is gonna be a long year.' I thought with a sigh.

'I'm not wearing a skirt or shorts' I write down in my notebook and show the teachers " ok that's fine, we'll get you a red long sleeve jacket a pair of black trousers and a grey top, is that ok for you?" Dorothy said I nodded in agreement. I hear growling and turn to Jaden and see him with a huge smile on his face "hey Dorothy do you have any food?" He asked and I immediately understood what was going on, his stomach growled, I sigh. " yes, I've got some rice balls, freshly cooked. You want some dear?" The lady asked me politely, I hesitantly nod my head in appreciation as Dorothy walks into the room with a fresh plate of rice balls, just the smell alone made my mouth water slightly. Jaden went and grabbed 2 rice balls and began stuffing his face, I began to laugh quietly. "Wow did my sis just laugh?" I hear a familiar voice behind me 'who.....Jesse' I thought as I turned around and flung my arms around my teal haired brother. Out of the corner of my eye I see a red gem "ruby carbuncle, come here don't ya wanna see my lil' sis again" my brother said with a joyful tone. But then his face went from smiling to frowning "so it's true that you don't talk anymore, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have left you" Jesse said sadly. I sigh "Jesse..." I whisper In a hoarse voice as it hadn't been used in months. My eyes start to tear up as my brother leaned in to give me a hug. I fall to my knees as the rivers began to flow from my eyes, Jesse kneeled down with me. I feel another pair of arms wrap around me and tense up and look down to see two different tones of brown 'Jaden' I think shocked, I've known him for half an hour and he's already trying to cheer me up. I hear Jesse chuckle so I look up, he's smiling but I can see the hint of sadness in his eyes "I've missed you." That one statement caused me to burst into tears again, I cried for what felt like hours but was probably only minutes until my eyes began to feel heavy and I drift off into a uneventful sleep.
