Jungkook sighs contently as he lies in Jongsuk arms that night, the alcohol in his system making him feel all warm and giggly.

"You'll go to Japan with me right?" The younger asks, his voice sounding like he was half asleep.

"Of course." Jongsuk hums against Jungkook's neck, making him giggle.

"Good, 'case I don't want to be alone." He says turning to face Jongsuk. "You have to come with me."

"I'll be there, Kook. Why wouldn't I be?" The older asks, his fingers tracing patterns into Jungkook's waist.

"I don't know." Jungkook hums, blinking slowly as he hides his face in the crook of his boyfriend's neck. "I'm scared."

"Don't worry about being alone." Jongsuk says pulling him closer. "You don't have to worry about anything. They chose you for a reason they obviously think you know what you're doing and you do."

Jungkook laughs a little for no apparent reason at all. "What if they don't agree with my scores?"

"It doesn't matter, they can't make you change them. Just be honest and the scores will speak for themselves." The older says reassuringly.

"My ex is gonna be there." The younger says, his words almost too muffled to understand.

"I know." Jongsuk says surprising the younger.

"You know?" Jungkook asks pulling away and looking down at him.

"Well, he goes every year. And he sweeps literally every category." The older chuckles.

"You don't seem upset." The younger says looking down.

"Why would I be upset, bun?" Jongsuk asks moving the younger's hair from his face.

"I don't know. Guys usually get mad about those types of things, right?" Jungkook asks.

"Only if they're insecure." The older says. "You're mine now so why does it matter?"

"It doesn't I guess." The younger says laying back down with his face in the crook of the older's neck.

"And you guys separated on good terms, right?" Jongsuk asks, Jungkook hums a yes. "Then there isn't anything to worry about."

"You're right. I'm so stupid all the time." Jungkook sighs, his words becoming heavy.

"You aren't falling asleep on me are you?" The older ask, running his fingers through Jungkook's hair.

"You always say the right things." The younger continues, obviously falling asleep.

Jongsuk chuckles softly at that. "I guess so."

"You...always make me feel better...I love you."

"What?" Jongsuk's smile falters a little when he's met with silence in return. "Jungkook?"

The older chuckles to himself, he must've just been speaking nonsense.

He doesn't think too much about it as he hugs the younger closer and closes his eyes.

Even if Jungkook didn't mean it, Jongsuk loved him too.

Taehyung can't seem to stop looking at the list of judges once it is released, he usually didn't care but when he found out that Jungkook was a potential judge he couldn't help but see if it was true.

"M-Mr. Kim?"

The sound of his stylist's voice draws his attention, making him look up from his laptop.

"Did you not like them?" Mina asks nervously as she tries to interpret Taehyung's blank expression.

"What?" The model asks after unintentionally zoning out.

"The new sets. I can change them around or get rid of them completely. There's s-still time if you~"

"No, no. They're fine. Don't worry about." Taehyung says, trying his best to not be too intimidating. "I'll have to take a closer look at them another time. I have to go talk to Seokjin right now."

"Yes, sir." Mina says, bowing respectfully when Taehyung stands with his laptop.

"You're welcome to leave if you want." The older says before leaving the room.

He gets to Seokjin's office and he finds the older bent over filling paperwork out like he seems to always be doing.

"Hey, hyung?" He says sitting his laptop down on the older's desk.

"Yeah?" The older hums sounding preoccupied.

"Did you know Jungkook was judging at the retreat?" Taehyung asks sitting down and crossing his arms.

Jin glances up at him before continuing with his paperwork. "No. Namjoon only mentioned Yoongi and another person. I didn't know Jungkook would be there."

"Have you not talked to him recently?" The bluenette asks, pretending to be preoccupied with something on his laptop.

"No. We usually miss each other, time difference and everything." The older shrugs.

"Did he seem alright the last time you spoke?" Taehyung asks.

Jin thinks back to his last conversation and how it didn't exactly end well. "Yes. The last time we talked he was getting ready for his last launch."

"That long ago?" The bluenette asks in surprise. "You guys usually talk more often I thought."

"We do, but like I said we've been missing each other." The older says looking up at the model. "You know you could just google him if you wanted to know what he's been up to."

"I'm not going to stalk him, Jin." Taehyung says rolling his eyes. "I just wanted to know if you've talked."

Jin hums knowingly before returning to his paperwork.

"You should go home, hyung. That can wait." The younger says standing up. "I already sent Mina home and I'm leaving now so don't feel like you have to stay."

"I'll go in another hour or two. Take care of yourself." The older says, never failing to instruct the younger to do so. "And don't skip dinner, you skip too many meals lately~"

"Alright, alright." Taehyung groans. "You know it's that time of the year, hyung."

"You need to stay healthy. You have photoshoots lined up for the next two weeks and the Vogue retreat is after that. If you don't eat healthy you'll feel drained and if you feel drained you'll look drained. Get it?" Jin asks pointing at the younger with his pin as he waits for a response.

"Got it." The younger sighs before walking towards the door. "Goodnight, Seokjin."

"Goodnight."

———

Jungkook wakes up with a slight headache the next morning, feeling around for Jongsuk only to find his spot vacant.

He forces his eyes open against the light pouring into the room. "Jongsuk?"

There's no response, causing the younger to groan and push himself up into a sitting position.

He grabs his phone from the bedside table and checks it for any messages before searching the ground for his clothes.

He knows they're gone before he even looks, Jongsuk was such a neat freak.

He ends up finding some of Jongsuk's clothes and throwing them on despite the size difference.

He finds the older sitting at the kitchen table reading over some of his files for work with a cup of coffee in his hand.

"You're up early." Jungkook smiles, walking over to the coffee maker to make himself a cup.

"Headache?" Jongsuk asks without looking away from his paperwork.

"Yeah. It's not too bad though." The younger says sitting down across from Jongsuk with a mug of black coffee.

"I actually have to run, I have some things I need to get done for work." The older says quickly, standing from the table as he stuffs his files back into their folder.

"Oh, okay." Jungkook says in confusion.

"I'll be back late so don't wait for me if you come back or just go to your place. Doesn't matter." Jongsuk says shrugging his blazer on over his dress shirt. "See you."

"See you?" The younger says/asks as Jongsuk walks out the front door without another word.

They haven't exchanged 'see yous' since before they were officially together and it just rubbed Jungkook the wrong way.

Was Jongsuk mad at him for something or was it just out of habit?

"See you?" He says to himself in confusion.

Did he do something wrong?
