When Jungkook gets to the beauty room he finds Taehyung sitting at one of the spiny chairs in front of the morrors as Hair styles his freshly dyed hair.

Jungkook can't help but stare for a moment when he first sees Taehyung's brown locks, the model's overgrown bangs cut short while the back remains longer than the rest.

Hair meets his eye in the mirror, a look coming onto his face as he steps away and removes the drape from across Taehyung.

The brunette looks up and meets his eye as well, thanking Hair as he stands to meet him.

"Hey," Jungkook smiles as he approaches.

"Hey." Taehyung says back, wrapping an arm around his waist and kissing his forehead before continuing passed him.

Jungkook frowns at the gesture, turning to face him. "What's wrong?"

"I have a meeting in a little bit so I'm gonna go change." The brunette says as he grabs his phone, his back to Jungkook. "I'll be up in a minute."

The younger watches in confusion as he leaves the beauty room.

"I told you they were screwing." He hears make up whisper, making make up snort obnoxiously.

Jungkook turns to face them. "What the hell is the problem?"

"What?" Make up asks rolling her eyes.

"Is there a problem?" Jungkook asks looking between the both of them. "If so, now is the time to address it."

"Whatever." Make up says turning away.

"No, not whatever. Keep fucking trying me if you want. I'm talking to both of you. I'm over it." He snaps at them, waiting a moment for their response before following Taehyung out.

He goes up to Jin's office where he hears the two of them talking, his intentions aren't to eavesdrop on what they're saying but to hopefully hear what it is that's bothering Taehyung, besides the fact that Hoseok will be here.

"There are other ways, Taehyung." Jin says. "Jungkook will~"

"There won't be an opportunity as good as this one, you know that." Taehyung snaps in irritation. "I just don't know how I'm going to get him to leave."

"Do you want to be with him?" Jin asks, his tone somewhat cautious.

"Not if it's going to get in the way."

Jungkook backs away from the door, his eyebrows drawn together in confusion.

Taehyung wanted him to leave?

The younger walks away pressing the button to the elevator repeatedly as his heart started to ache.

Was their relationship getting in the way of Taehyung going further in his career?

The last thing Jungkook wanted was to hold Taehyung back, he didn't want Taehyung making decisions about his career based in him.

If that was the reason Taehyung was acting distant than why can't he just say so?

Why can't he just be honest with him and tell him what's going on?

They aren't emotionally unstable teenagers that don't know how to express themselves, they're adults.

They should be able to have an adult conversation without the unnecessary drama.

Jungkook's brief sadness changes to anger as he walks into the clothing room where Taehyung hadn't yet changed his clothes.

He plops down on the couch, staring ahead in thought.

He wasn't sure if he was hurt or angry, maybe he was a little bit of both.

The door opens but he doesn't look towards it, knowing that it was Taehyung coming in.

Jungkook doesn't say anything and neither does Taehyung, leaving the room completely silent apart from the sounds of the brunette changing.

"The meeting starts in ten." Taehyung says as he leaves, not waiting or saying another word.

Jungkook swallows hard when he feels himself starting to get emotional.

He hated how overemotional he was at times.

He gets to the meeting room just as the other two are walking in, keeping his eyes directed in front of him to avoid Jin's questioning glances.

Yoongi, Namjoon, Jeonghan, and Hoseok sit around the conference table when they enter, standing to greet.

"How are you guys?" Taehyung asks, forcing a small smile as he shakes Yoongi's hand.

Everyone felt the tension in the room but nobody was willing to address the elephant which was Taehyung and Hoseok's ongoing media feud.

"We're here to discuss numbers." Yoongi says getting straight to the point, one thing about Min Yoongi that Taehyung liked was his ability to get straight to business no matter the situation.

The meeting mostly consists of Jin speaking on Taehyung's behalf and everyone else pretty much agreeing.

Jungkook keeps his eyes focused on the table, not wanting to be here anymore.

When the meeting finally does come to a close he gets pulled aside by Yoongi.

"Namjoon tells me you're interested in designing." The older says crossing his arms.

"O-Oh well, yeah. I want to be a designer." The younger nods, trying to push his nerves to the side.

"Have you heard of Gagi Fashion?" Yoongi asks him.

"Yes. It's the label that you started under." Jungkook says, trying to respond as if he hadn't spent countless hours on the internet learning everything about Min Yoongi.

"Yeah." The older nods with a smile. "I haven't seen any of your designs but Namjoon thinks you're promising, and I trust him, so how would you like to start at Gagi?"

Jungkook's eyes widen at Yoongi's words, he isn't sure if he can trust his own ears right now. "W-What?"

"Gagi Fashion, would you want to start there?" The older repeats, smiling a little at Jungkook's reaction.

"Gagi? Me? Work there?" The younger asks as if he's too incompetent to even think about a job at Gagi.

"Yes. What do you think?" Yoongi asks tilting his head as he waits for Jungkook's response.

"Yes! I mean~ what? Of course. I'd love to, that'd be great." Jungkook rambles.

Yoongi laughs, another rare smile forming on his lips. "Yeah?"

"Yeah." Jungkook nods with a smile. "I'd love that."

"You do know that you'd have to relocate to the states?" The older asks.

"Yeah." The younger says, his smile faltering. "I was planning on relocating anyways."

"Perfect. I'll make some phone calls tonight and I should have you on a plane in no time." Yoongi says before holding his hand out. "You're a very talented young man."

"Thank you." Jungkook says shaking his hand.

The door to the conference room opens and Taehyung walks out followed by Hoseok, both wearing the same hard expressions as they go their separate ways.

"Jungkook. Come." Taehyung's voice calls without even glancing in his direction.

"I'm going to the car." Hoseok says walking pass them in the same manner.

Yoongi and Jungkook smile at each other despite the behavior of their counterparts.

"Jin will make sure we stay in touch but if you need to reach me call my building." Yoongi says to the younger before they say their goodbyes and split up.

Jungkook follows Taehyung to the elevator, stepping on silently behind him.

"What were you talking to Yoongi about?" The brunette asks.

"What were you talking to Hoseok about?" Jungkook shoots back.

"Nothing." Taehyung says pressing the button to close the doors.

"Taehyung?" The younger starts making the other hum in acknowledgement. "Do you need to talk to me about something?"

"What do you mean?" The brunette asks, his gaze still focused ahead.

"Do you need to talk to me?" Jungkook repeat as the elevator dings and the doors open.

"No." Taehyung says shortly, stepping off the elevator and walking off to his office.

Jungkook steps off the elevator and walks to Jin's office where he finds the older taking a call.

He sits down at one of the chairs against the wall and gets on his phone, wasting the rest of his day silently playing on his phone.

Maybe he was overreacting, maybe he just needed to give Taehyung the space he needed to sort out whatever it was he was trying to sort out.

He didn't want to get in the way, you don't hold back the people you love, you push them to do bigger and better things.

Who was Jungkook to hold Taehyung back from doing bigger and better things?
