Kayla's POV

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YALL DOING HERE?" Joe yells. His grip got tighter around my hand. I instantly knew this was bad. I didn't even want to see who was in the room.

I took a step back, but Joe didn't let go of my hand. I guess leaving is out of the question. I step out from behind him and I see Paul sitting at the table, looking at a bunch of papers.

He didn't have a suit on, he didn't even have dress shoes on. He had on jeans and a T-shirt. I know what's on his mind, and it ain't business. He's about to try to fuck with Joe.

Joe slowly takes a step forward and I follow his lead. Once I fully step into the room, I see his ex, Christina standing in the corner, across from Paul, looking over at us. Oh, this is why he said that. What the hell is she doing here?

I also see his estranged best friend, Tommy, standing next to her. Now, I'm really confused. What the hell is going on?

"Is somebody going to open their mouth?" Joe asks, looking between the three of them but no one speaks. Christina was looking down at her hands, which were placed in her lap and Tommy was trying to avoid eye contact, so he was looking down at his shoes. A few seconds go by, then Paul breaks the silence.

"Joe, have a seat." Paul says calmly, ignoring his question. He didn't even look up from the paperwork on the table.

"Nah, not until someone gives me some answers." Joe says and Paul finally looks up at him.

Paul cracks a small smile, "You thought you were going to come in here and me not be prepared?" Paul asks Joe, "I know you've been plotting. Now I said, have a seat." He turns his attention to me. He looks me up and down, chewing his gum like a horse eating grass, "Hey, Princess!" He says with a smile, "How are you? You're looking well!"

I don't say anything, I just look at Joe, as he's still standing in front of me.

"Quiet today, huh? That's okay babe, I'll get you talking by the end of this meeting."

"Watch your mouth!" Joe says to Paul in a warning tone and Paul just smiles.

"Calm down, and have a fucking seat Joe." Paul says and they have a staring match for a few seconds.

"Babe?" I try to break his focus from Paul but he doesn't break his gaze. "Joe?" I put my hand on his shoulder and he snaps out of it and looks over his shoulder, at me. "Breathe." I say low enough for him to hear.

He nods his head and pats my hand, "I'm good." He says, then pulls out a chair for me to sit in. "You need to sit down babe." He says to me, and I take a seat and he sits next to me.

Both of us are now sitting at the table, across from Paul, while Christina and Tommy, in which neither of them has yet to say anything, are in the corner to our right.

Joe looks behind me over at them, "I knew you were being shady for a reason." He says to Tommy, "And I expected some shit to pop up from your hoe ass." He says to Christina.

"I didn't mean to get this deep into this shit man." He says in a panic, "And I didn't know anything about Christina until today. I swear. He approached me, offered me money to plant seeds in your head about Kayla. I didn't want to do it but you know my situation. I needed the money. I was going to tell you. I swear I was." Tommy explains

"When?" Joe asks

"The other day, when I was at your house. I was going to come back but I didn't think you would answer the door for me after what had went down." He explains, "I told him I didn't want to do it anymore because she was pregnant and that you were my brother but he kept offering me more money."

"How much?" Joe asks

"Initially, it was 20,000 but the other two times , he offered me 30,000." He says

Joe just shakes his head, he doesn't even say anything else to Tommy. I can tell, he is so disappointed in Tommy and all for some money. I'm sure if he needed it, Joe would've given it to him. He lied on me to break us up for Paul. Smh.

"Are you two love birds done?" Paul says with a disgusted look on his face. Paul sits back in his chair, "So I guess congratulations are in order. I hear my Princess is pregnant." He looks between both of us.

"Who told you?" I ask

"My new best friend....well not so much anymore." He nods his head towards Tommy.

"That's why I backed out of it. She's pregnant and I felt it was wrong. He offered me another 30,000 but I turned it down." Tommy says

"Good for you, you came to your senses. You already got 80,000 out of him. You might as well had just went ahead and followed through with it, made another 30,000 because it seems like that's what you care about. Money." Joe says

"It wasn't like that."

Joe waves him off, "I can't tell."

"Guys, guys, lets not fight." Paul says with a smirk on his face, "We're all here because we all have business to handle, so let's just calm down." He says being an asshole, acting like he cares.

"Cut the bullshit, Paul. Why are we here?" Joe asks

"Okay so I called Christina, well, my Babygirl." He plants a big smile on his face, chewing his gum, waiting for our response. He makes eye contact with me for a second, then speaks again, "Princess, you remember Babygirl, right?"

Joe looks at me puzzled, "Huh?"

"What the hell are you talking about, Paul?" I ask, confused.

"You've spoken to my her before, over the phone." He says

I look over and Joe, then back at Paul, "How? When? I don't know her. I've never seen her before in my life, other than that time she showed up at Joe's house." I look over at Joe, "I don't know what he's talking about." I assure him.

"Remember when you and I first got together?" He asks

I nod my head, yes.

"Before you, it was her, my Babygirl." He says smiling over at her again and she smiles back. Ugh. "I dumped her for you. She called you on the phone and you two got into a screaming match...."

I cut him off, "She said you left her while she was pregnant with your baby." I say remembering back the. 

"Riiiigghhht. See you remember." He says

"How am I supposed to know that that was her?" I say looking over at her in disbelief. Then everything clicks. "Oooohhhhhhh."

"Wait a minute." Joe interrupts, holding a finger up and sitting up in his chair. I think things are clicking for him too. He looks over at Christina. "You used to date him....and was pregnant with his child?"

She shrugs her shoulders, "Yeah."

"Was this before or after me?" He asks

"A little bit before, a little bit after and a little bit during." She says like she doesn't even care. What kind of woman is this?

"During? When?" Joe asks

She looks over at Paul, like she's looking for his permission or something. Paul nods his head and she speaks, "When I got pregnant. I told Paul and he didn't want me to go through with it because he was dating you." She points to me, "Then I convinced him that I would just tell you it was your baby. It was going good for a few weeks until he got paranoid Kayla would find out about it and find out that he was still dealing with me and he made me terminate the pregnancy." She explains.

I cover my mouth in shock. I can't believe my ears right now. I was with Paul for years, and turns out Paul was cheating on me while we were together. He was probably cheating on Stephanie with her before he met me because after his divorce, I do remember a girl calling me. I completely forgot about all of this. Which now I'm starting to see why Stephanie hates me so much and that's because she thought Paul was cheating with me, when he wasn't, he was actually cheating on her with Christina. I can't believe I didn't see this. I guess I was just so blinded by everything Paul was saying and doing for me, I guess I just buried all of this and it's so crazy because just like he did me, he got her pregnant, and made her get an abortion.

"Wait, hold up." Joe says, "You made me think your baby was mine? You were fucking around with my boss? And he got you pregnant? You had me thinking all this time that I lost my kid. You put me through all of that, for what?" Joe snaps

"I wanted to keep my baby and I wanted to be with him but he chose her over me." She says

"AND HE'S STILL CHOOSING HER OVER YOU." Joe yells, "Do you not get that? How dumb are you? He is doing all of this bullshit because he wants her back. He used you, Christina. You're a special kind of stupid." Joe says and I just roll my eyes. She's too blind to see Paul is using her.

"Wait, I thought you ended up with Jax. I'm confused." Tommy says

"No, I said I wanted to be with Jax. Jax and I were never together. That was a lie. I wanted to be with Paul and I was trying to get him back." She says and I look over at Joe. He's just shaking his head.

"That's why Jax kept saying she was lying." Tommy says looking at Joe.

"Yeah, I'm putting the pieces together." Joe says sounding defeated. I put my hand on his, trying to comfort him. This is the calm before the storm, Joe is about to flip this room upside down.

"So while we're all going over the history of how we're connected" I say using an air quotes, "How about you explain how or why you're doing this to Joe." I say to Paul.

"Simply put, I wanted you back. You're my Princess. Why not use his ex girlfriend and best friend to do it. Yeah, I get that I used Christina and I'm sorry for that babygirl." He looks over at her.

"It's okay." She says

"But she was perfect because we had a little thing. I wanted to do it all on my own and that's what I was doing for a while but one day Christina and I were having a conversation and it fell on Joe. She was telling me how much Joe was into her when they were together and that it probably will be easy to steer him away from you. Clearly, she was wrong, so I figured I could use his best friend but he bitched up on me." He says looking over at Tommy.

"And she's sitting here pregnant. Is it yours?" I ask

"Yeah." He says

I just shake my head.

"It's not ideal but Princess wouldn't have my baby." Paul says

"I COULDN'T." I yell, "Paul you've made me get so many abortions that I can't even carry a baby." I say getting upset.

"Calm down, babe." Joe says, "Don't stress yourself out over this."

I don't care that she's pregnant by him, I care that I'm pregnant by Joe and I might not be able to carry to term because of him.

"We're getting off subject." Paul says trying to change the subject. Of course he is, asshole.

"Paul, we were together for a long time and for as long as I've known you you always had this vendetta against Joe. That's what I'm talking about, that's what I'm asking. Why do you hate him so much?" I ask, "Because all of this started before me."

"I think him and Steph had an affair." Paul says with a straight face.
