Leaving the cafe in a confused state, I made my way back to the apartments, where I was staying for the time being. The metal staircase clanked with every step I took, climbing all the way to the fourth floor.

I opened the third door on the right and made my way inside. The apartment was a tiny one, just big enough to suit my needs. It has a joint living room and kitchen area. A master bedroom holding only a king size bed, and a dresser with a mirror on it. To the right of my room was the bathroom.

I sighed as I shrugged off my bag onto the couch, proceeding to plop down next to it.

“Well, that was something, huh. I need a breather ” I said with a slight chuckle.

Getting up from the couch, I slid the footrest across the carpet and out of the way. I then proceeded to shove the couch back just a tad. I then went to the middle of the open area I created and sat down cross-legged. I conjured a circle around me and folded my hands together.

I steadied my breathing before shutting my eyes and meditating. Slowly the car horns and birds chirping became almost faint as I was sucked into a world of my own.

Sorry for the teaser but I've been super busy lately and haven't had the chance to write more. Although I love the idea with this story, I just can't write a certain part for this chapter, but I'll get over it and try my best to fully finish this chapter soon!!
