Prolouge- Beginnings
An iridescent egg of all shades of blue, with swirls of silver and leaf green scales floated onto the shore of an island. It's hidden path followed by a ragged mother scavenger in a canoe, holding her baby daughter close as two full moons rose into the sky.
The mother stumbled out, setting her baby momentarily on the sand to lug the dragon egg from the water. Something about it was different, she could tell. The townsfolk at her old village called her crazy, and a threat, but she could always tell these things.
A panther wearing a silver, wooden, and emerald circlet bounded out of the undergrowth, inspecting the egg a moment before turning to the mother. Neither were afraid, and the panther spoke another language, one the mother could somehow understand.
Moments later, as the moons reached their apex, the egg cast a silvery glow and shook. The dragonet inside it felt the call of the moons, the tides, the power of life in island itself. The eggshell cracked and splintered, giving birth to a dragonet. She was small, scales hues of blue and touched with silver, with little wing buds of the same color. She instantly ran up to the mother and the panther, who's own cub scrambled to her, and jumped on them both with happy chirps.
And so Tidedancer was born, a new story beginning, a new leaf on the tree of the living.
