Dick's POV

"Mistah J!" Harley screams from the other side of the warehouse and I know Batman was spotted so we are most likely going to fight Harley Quinn and from what she just screamed out I can more then likely presume the Joker is here too.

I run on the rooftop of the warehouse next to me .Batman was searching here and I see through the skylight Harley is running and batman isn't far behind her so I follow them on the roof looking at Harley below then stop at the edge just keeping my balance and I sigh in relief I didn't fall, It would hurt a lot.

"Batman to Robin, I need backup, joker has a new guard and I can't take out him and her, Harley is already unconscious just take out joker's guard and leave joker to me" Batman says in my earpiece and I nod and I smash one of the skylights I just ran past and I jump to the ground.

"Ok batman what does this guard look-" I'm cut off when something hits my head hard and my head throbs where I was just attacked and I fall down leaning on a box. A girl dressed in a black and white jester costume, jester hat and domino mask walks into my view with a golf club her hand.

"Boy blunder, I was wondering when you'd show up" the girl says and I try to stand up but I can't because my head is throbbing too much.

"W..who are you?" I say over the throbbing pain of my head and she tilts her head.

"I'm surprised you and bats haven't met me yet, I'm the Jester, sidekick to the Joker "she says and looks at my head, "hit you pretty bad didn't I?" She says to herself and I get up with the support of the box and she doesn't attack but instead spins the club in her hand like they used to do at the circus with batons.

"How long have you been his sidekick?" I ask still with a throbbing head but it isn't as bad now. Who even is she, she must be new or just hired. Maybe she's an assassin or a mercenary they have for their next big attack.

"Let's just say I'm more experienced than you, here lemme help you outside" she says and walks towards me and I take out my tazer gun and point it at her and she stops walking and looks at me with her hand on her heart and she gasps.

"What, I let you go and this is how you repay me?" She asks faking being offended then laughs and I keep my aim as steady as I can with my really bad head.

"What's the catch?" I ask weakly and she laughs shaking her head

"No catch, I just need you alive for later" she says smiling. I shoot my gun and she cartwheels out the way without trying then sighs looking at the tazer shocking the wooden box behind her

"That was my new toy in there!" She yells annoyed then sighs looking at me as I fall back down leaning into a wooden create, "I tried to play nice but sooner or later I'll have to kill you, sleep tight." she says then kicks me in the head and I black out.

I wake up and hold my head since it really throbs and I groan. I'm in my room and Alfred walks in. "Master Dick you took several injuries to the head last week so you are absent from school today and master Bruce recommends lots of rest until you recover" Alfred explains and I nod sitting up and drinking some water I have at my bedside, being off for week is normal for me if I'm injured during missions which happens quite a lot to be honest.

"Sure, can I get some pills to ease the throbbing and some snacks?" I ask and Alfred nods smiling.

"Yes I'll get them but no junk food since master Bruce insists you stay on a healthy diet to keep yourself in shape." Alfred says and I groan because I hate those stupid 1 month diets I'm on for my core building and crap like that and Alfred knows I hate them. I groan loudly making Alfred sigh.

"Ok then master dick, I will sneak you in a candy bar but do not tell master Bruce and I know nothing of you eating candy bars either. Do we have a deal?" Alfred asks with a small smile and I nod happily then he leaves and I turn on my phone and go on the news app and read the articles.

(2 seconds ago) CENTRAL CITY
Sidekick to the Flash, Kid Flash has just been sighted running into Gotham-

I stop reading when my door opens and I feel a bone crushing hug and I push off my best friend, kid flash.

"Dude I was worried sick when the team was told you were in a fight with joker's sidekick and was out for a week, the team just got a notification you had woken up from batman so I came here as soon as I could" kid flash says taking off his costume at superspeed and changing into his casual clothes.

"Yeah I sort of figured." I say then smile at his concerned face, "Wally I'm fine I swear, it was only a little hit to the head, I should have been more careful" I say and wally rolls his eyes and sighs.

"See this is what I mean by you always take it out on yourself too hard! Nobody has ever fought Jester so you didn't know what to expect from her, she's obviously pretty good in combat and stuff if she got you out for a week but Batman is out looking for her and Joker so you don't need to worry." wally says pulling out an energy bar that he soon begins munching on.

"So Harley is in Arkham?" I ask surprised Jester didn't help Harley since after all Harley was in the same room as us.

"Yeah she is, it turns out Jester hates Harley's guts so she left her in Arkham." wally says and I look out my window at the sun. Did he say Batman was out?

"It's daytime, Batman is out in daylight?" I ask point out confused and wally laughs and nods

"Yeah I know crazy right? Bruce is really pissed though about what that Jester did to you so he said he wanted her in a cell in Arkham before she could pull off anything else since she has more skill then Harley and Joker combined and she's only your age! The girl needs to be taken off the streets before she hurts anyone else, the team are looking for her too but not at this moment, I think they're watching Netflix at the moment." wally says and I nod.

"Yeah it felt like I was fighting Harley and Joker all at once. I thought she was just like one of the goons but she wasn't" I say and Alfred walks in with the snacks and pills and I eat my chocolate bar I got first.

"Master wally when did you arrive?" Alfred asks and wally looks at his watch.

"About 5.2 minutes ago, why?" Wally asks and I swallow both my pills with the water I have and Alfred looks at Wally smiling and shaking his head then leaves us alone.

"Yummy, I have some...carrot slices and- wait is that...oh no it is! Those are green beans, great snacks" I sarcastically complain, "I'm so not whelmed..."

Wally looks at me and laughs shaking his head at me, "Is Bruce asking you to do one of those diets again to help your..." Wally says laughing and is lost for words

"...my core, it's to help my core building and I'm being forced to do it, not asked" I say and wally eyes up my snacks

"Can I? I mean if you aren't going to have them it's only right to not waste the food..." Wally trails of and I nod. I blink and the food is gone. I sigh, typical Wally...

"So why are you off school today?" I ask looking at Wally and he smiles.

"Since I'm a senior now I get Friday off, but you already knew that." Wally brags and I glare at him. Wally is 18 and he enjoys being 18 too, I on the other hand am only 15 so I still go to school full time, most of it is homeschooled since I'm off a lot but I do still attend when I don't have any bad concussion issues or injuries. It is annoying if there is any chaos in the city though, because it means I have to take 3 hour long bathroom brakes if I'm at school. I'm going full time homeschool next year though so that will be a lot easier with my double life.

"Good for you" I say annoyed and he knows it so he smirks, "how's Artemis?" I ask and he laughs. The Gotham seniors don't get off on Friday because unlike central city's students Gotham's students work hard and do the full week. Oh and trust me, we just love going to school more than central city do (note sarcasm.)
