"Moon Howlers?" Slate shot Blake a condescending look "Why would Jade go there?"
Blake shrugged as he hoped inside of his car alongside his brooding Alpha "We found out Jade is travelling with her friend, Cora. She has a small home in that town, but I don't think she's aware of the Pack territory"
"We need to hurry - the Moon Howlers are notorious for their hatred towards humans" Slates wolf stirred restlessly. Blake started the car and sped out of the Divisions — After a couple of days they finally reached their destination.
The both of them got out of the car and entered the Pack house to formally introduce themselves, just to make sure they don't get mistaken as Rogues "Alpha Parker! Beta Blake! How nice it is to see you again." Orin, the Alpha of the Moon Howlers greeted them.
They stood in a large dining room, surely being eavesdropped on by the whole Pack — but at this moment Slate didn't care, he just wanted his mate back.
Blake offered a warm smile "...I wish we could be here on better terms but after...a misunderstanding - My future Luna decided to travel on her own accord. We just need to make sure she's okay, and her current location to insure her safety."
"Of course, of course I know for certain how important mates are even if they are human. Three teenagers came to this town about a week ago. Two girls and one young man to be exact." Orin answered "Their house is on 45, fredrick road." Slate felt hope burn deep within his heart — He was finally going to see her again "But. They aren't there anymore."
Blake grunted "Then where are they?"
"If it is true, and your mate was one of them. Then I have some bad news" Orin paused "The human girl is in hospital due to her injuries inflicted by one of my she-wolves. That she-wolf that attacked her is mated with the man they came with. The other girl has disappeared"
Slate roared angrily at the thought of his mate getting hurt. "Where is the man they came with them and where is the she-wolf!"
"He's on his way here. I contacted them as soon as you mentioned your mate." Just as Orin finished his sentence the dining room doors opened to reveal none other than a very familiar Omega with an unfamiliar women.
Dylan sat down on a chair with his mate next to him.
"Alpha Par-"
A low dangerous growl escaped his lips — perfectly formed into a scowl "Where is she?"
"I don't know..." Dylan muttered in fear.
Blake laid a hand on Slate's shoulder, signalling him to calm his wolf "What do you mean you don't know where she is? You came here with her." Blake mused.
"There was a...complication."
Slate banged his fist on the table "I don't care! You tell me everything you know right this instance!"
"O-okay..." Dylan shot a fearful look towards Orin "It was the day I found my mate Melissa." Dylan gestured to the girl next to him. She was sporting a swollen cheek "Soon she found out that Jade and Cora were human so we decided to go over to the house and tell them to... leave."
Soren was extremely close to ripping out Dylan's throat for telling his mate to leave before he could get a hold of her "-When we came some words were exchanged and then...a fight broke out."
"She had it coming!" Melissa screeched.
Slate glared a piercing dagger making her cower "Continue."
Dylan cleared his throat.

Dylan's POV --
"Cora..." Jade whimpered as she held her best friends stare.
Dylan held her against his chest, he wanted to help Cora. He didn't want to hold Jade back but his limbs were betraying him and the only thing he could do was whisper apology after apology.
No. He could fight it but he didn't want to. He finally belonged somewhere. He finally belonged with someone. He didn't want to fight that.
Then as if it happened in slow motion Cora's eyes slowly shut, he could still hear her heartbeat in her chest and knew she was going to be okay.
Dylan felt Jade go limp in his arms, her breaths became shallow and her hair curtained her eyes from view "Luna, Luna are you okay?" he whispered in her ear. He knew she should stop calling her that but a part of him still owed her that much.
Melissa had her back to them as she gave the crowd her attention.
"You're a spineless traitor."Jade voiced, her head facing downwards as locks of hair hid her face. But it didn't sound like her voice, it sounded hollow and unnerving.
"W-what?" Dylan stuttered, this wasn't the Jade he knew.
She pushed him away from her with so much force that it took the wind out of his lungs and made him fly ten metres away.
The whole crowd stopped to turn around and face the brave human that dared to stand out even after witnessing the beating of her friend "Who the hell do you think you are!" Melissa hissed.
"...This was Cora's home, this was the only thing she had as a reminder after her father died. And you did this to her because she wanted to protect one of the only things that made her happy - and all you have to say is; who do you think you are?" Jade hissed through grit teeth, her face still facing the ground.
The whole crowd that were cheering mere seconds ago silenced.
Melissa noticed how everyone started to glare in her direction and not to mention all the hateful messages that were sent to her through the Pack link — it only fuelled her anger at the nerve of this girl trying to embarrass her "You're a pathetic human! You are nothing but a pathetic human!"
"Stop embarrassing yourself!" someone yelled within the crowd followed with "We thought you were giving her beating for a good reason!" and another voice "Just stop! You've already lost!"
Melissa felt embarrassment as anger flooded her emotions, before anyone could see it coming she ran up to Jade, stretching her hands out — everyone cringed at the sight.
Melissa was known in her Pack for clawing people's faces beyond recognition.
Before she could take another step Jade stretched her hand out — Melissa froze in her step "You think just because your first mate rejected you for a human, you have the right to treat every other human with disgust?"
"H-how?" Melissa stuttered as she felt her throat tighten.
Her eyes widened as she saw Jade chocking her without even touching her. Everyone couldn't move because Jade had somehow frozen the whole crowd — all they could do was watch.
She finally lifted her head to face Melissa — an audible gasp echoed throughout the crowd.
Her eyes were a bright green, her hair slowly turned blonde — her features became even more defined, and her body had an almost radiant glow that surrounded her petite form.
To say the least she was absolutely stunning.
Melissa couldn't help the jealousy she felt along with every other female wolf there.
"Luna, STOP!" Dylan yelled as he scrambled to his feet. He was still protected from being frozen since he was Inoculate "You're hurting her!"
Jade snapped her head towards him and stretched her other hand out, successfully suspending him mid air "Did you help Cora when I constantly told you to stop" she whispered with so much venom that it made him flinch.
Somehow even if he was immune, Jade broke through the barrier and used her powers on him.
"I-I'm sorry!" Melissa croaked, clutching her neck as she fell to her knees.
Jade slowly walked up to Melissa with a deadly aura surrounding her. Jade grabbed a fistful of her hair, looking down into her eyes with nothing but anger "Sorry doesn't erase what you did!" she bellowed.
"I'm sorry! Please, I didn't know. I didn't know!" She cried, earning her even more insults through the Pack link.
Dylan grunted while still suspended mid-air "Your stupidity is not an excuse to prosecute the innocent." Jade whispered calmly, shooting shivers down everyone's spine.
"What are you going to-" before Melissa could finish her sentence Jade drew her fist back and punched her across the face
Blood sprayed out of Melissa's mouth with a sickening crack. The whole crowd winced as her head snapped to the side while her body fell limply against the ground.
Jade swiftly thrusted her hand down causing Dylan to land on the floor with a loud thud "I Begged you to stop your mate, I begged you to try to fight back but you didn't. You watched Cora get beaten for no reason."
"Luna-" Before Dylan could finish his sentence blood started to fill his mouth. He violently coughed up red liquid, while even getting some on her.
Jade payed no attention to it, and treated it as if it was just another stain on her dress.
Everyone looked on intently as Jade approached his quivering form "I should've left you when I had the chance, no wonder everyone you have ever loved is gone. You don't even fight for them!"
Dylan didn't know what hurt more — The fact she's drowning him in his own blood or the fact she's telling him the cold truth.
His vision blurred into darkness — he continuously gasped for air to no avail
She was killing him...
"Jade!" a male voice called out from behind her.
Just like that her eyes turned back to their normal green colour.
She stepped back from Dylan and released him from whatever power she had on him. He desperately gulped for air, still spitting out some blood.
"What's going on?" the familiar voice asked,
Jade's hair turned back to the brown colour she had dyed so many times before with no traces of blonde — not even five-seconds later her eyes shut while her body collapsed onto the grass.
Sebastian ran over to her, completely ignoring his surrounding's — everyone was now given back their free will and multiple Pack members bumped into him as they all hurriedly made their way out of the yard.
He cradled Jade's head in his arms with a certain gentleness he'd never shown before. The crowd that had formed moments ago dispersed without a second thought except for Dylan who kneeled in front of them.
"I'm so sorry-"
Sebastian glared at the wolf in front of him. Even though Dylan was a werewolf he still cowered at the look the man was giving him "If you aren't as pathetic as you look right now get Cora to a Hospital."
"Bash-"
He stood up with Jade securely in his arms "Don't get mistaken mutt. My name is Sebastian. You've lost every right to call me anything else," without another look — he walked over to the car and drove off, leaving Dylan alone in the front lawn with two unconscious bodies.

Slate growled viciously "You dare leave my mate in the arms of another man," he bellowed — kill him! — Soren chanted.
"Alpha Parker - Dylan is in my Pack and I would appreciate it if you were to refrain from attacking my members." Orrin stated.
Melissa smirked "Exactly. Dylan is in the Moon Howlers Pack - you have no right in bossing him around anymore!"
"Which is why I expect Orin to deliver your punishment," Slate said with an evil glint in his eye.
Melissa narrowed her gaze "On what grounds!"
"Cora was an innocent human, its against werewolf law to openly attack civilians. You've also threatened the life of my Pack's Luna - let me rephrase that. You threatened the life of my mate." Slate growled angrily.
She looked in between Dylan and Orin uncomfortably "...What is our punishment?"
"You and Dylan are demoted to Omega's" Orin stated coldly
Melissa jumped up from where she sat "No! PLEASE NO! I'M NOT MEANT TO BE AN OMEGA!"
"This conversation is over. Leave." Orin used his alpha voice. Reluctantly both Dylan and Melissa left the room "I'm sorry Slate. If I knew earlier that your mate was here..."
He smiled sadly at his childhood friend "It's okay Ori, I understand," even though his wolf was spurting all kinds of insults in his head.
"What do you want to do now?" Blake asked — he hated giving Slate so much hope after not seeing his mate for so long.
He sighed roughly "Go and check on Jade's friend Cora. She might be awake and have some information about where she could be now..."
"We'll find her." Blake placed a comforting hand on his shoulder
Slate looked up at his friend. In spite of all the things he's gone through without Jade by his side, it was a good feeling when someone else had just as much hope as he did that he'd find her again "I know..."
"Slate." Orin called out while Blake exited the room "I hope you don't mind me asking, but what species is your mate exactly?"
Slate continued to stare at Orin.
Now that he thought about it Slate had no idea what species Jade was. She had the scent of a human but had certain gifts that a normal human wouldn't have.
He couldn't help but feel pride swell beneath his chest at the fact his mate was stronger than he could ever imagine — She would make a wonderful Luna — Soren growled approvingly "...I don't know, Orin, she never gave me a reason to be suspicious about her being human"
"I might have an idea of what she really is" Orin said thoughtfully "But it's simply impossible, they're incredibly rare, maybe even extinct."
This peaked Slate's interests "What species do you think she is?"
"Well, if I'm correct." Orin walked over to a bookshelf and pulled out a big dusty book "Your mate is probably one of the most scarce beings to walk this earth - legend has it, the Goddess herself made them from her own blood but over time they died out, the gene soon became lost, and the powers long forgotten,''
Slate walked over to where he stood while Orin flipped through pages before settling on one in particular.
His eyes widened in shock "Do you really think that she's..."
"I can't be certain" Orin turned around to face his confused friend "With what I've heard, I can only presume, you'll have to find the definitive answers with her"
Slate stared at the page in front of him "...Jade, where are you...?"
