Two fish of different colors and circled with sparkles symbolized my newfound warrior knowledge. Each tattoo a mermaid got by the queens seamstress that was recognized held power, and I spent a few days learning how to use this power with my trainer. When I finally returned I learned of a huge battle going down between the vampires and werewolves. When I showed up at the Cullen's house I found that Bella was pregnant, and that half of the Cullen family (including Edward) didn't want it, but Bella did and Rosalie was helping protect her as I told her I would. Esme has told me jacob and two other werewolves had been standing guard and left the pack. Worried for Jacob I ran down and was greeted with a giant hug and kiss
"I'm so sorry you have to leave the pack"
"No no it's okay really, I shouldn't have been taking sams orders in the first place. How did it go, did you get recognized?"
I happily showed off my new tattoo and he smiled proudly.
"I dont want to distract you now, I'm going to go back in and make sure Bella's comfortable"
I left with a kiss and a boyfriend reluctant to let me go. Once back inside Bella noticed my tattoo and told me it looked cool, I thanked her.
"Are you comfortable Bella?"
"I mean, no but there's not much I can do. He doesn't want any food"
"Really? No food? No blood? Nothing?"
"Blood?"
"Bella come now, this is Edwards child we're talking about, it's probably looking for blood"
When she realized I was totally right she got me to tell everyone and soon she was about six on some blood, which made her feel better.
"Melissa I missed having your good ideas around"
I smiled and rubbed her back. It had been days like this and Bella was slowly getting better but due to the growing thirst of the vampires around her, I told them all to go feed. Most of them did except Edward Rosalie Alice and I, who were the only ones present, along with Jacob of course, when Bella fell and induced giving birth. With Carlisle out feeding we had to do a makeshift birthing and once the baby was handed to me I was able to wash it and got her in a towel. I knew they were struggling to keep Bella alive and Jacob had gone outside to cry, but came back in and headed my way.
"Liss... I need to kill that baby, give it to me"
I looked at him in horror and shook my head
"It's a baby, and obviously it doesn't look like it could hurt anyone! Jacob listen to yourself, please"
I pleaded to him and he had to listen to the imprint. He fell to his knees in sorrow and I gently thanked him. Once the pack was circled around the house everyone but me, who was holding the baby, went outside to fight and won on coming to an agreement that since the baby was under my protection, you'd have to go through me to get to it. We watched from sidelines as Renesmee grew at unfathomable rates and Bella became a vampire. I returned to the warrior academy to learn more skills, earning myself a new tattoo of knowledge
